I am not sure how to feel about the current high rating. The novel maybe is nice but the translation makes it hardly readable for a person who doesn't understand Chinese terms that well (even if there are notes for some of them, but not for all...) I really dislike when people do put all that Gaozong, Jinhu, Jingu, some nicknames in Chinese (not names!), other pinyin/whatever in translation. Chapter 29 was too mindblowing in the way.

That's probably my first ever review of a book, but I have just completed this one, and in the last 15 years, during which I have red at least a book per week, that one was probably the best in terms of emotions it gave, so really, if you are looking for a good book and you did not come here, hellbent on reading a book about fights between villains and heroes, but rather just seeking to enjoy a good art, just try it, while such things are always subjective, but I liked it a lot, and I sincerely hope, whoever reads it will like it as well.

The story takes place in a world with superpowers, where there are villains and heroes. The protagonist goes back in time and decides to give up the life of a villain, so he decides to do good deeds for his own satisfaction due to the loneliness he experienced before his regression.If I had to comment, the MC's story is not the focal point but the development of the people around him and how they are affected by him and he by them. There is harem, but it's not something like going out catching Pokémon, but rather the gradual development of the relationship. To tell you the truth, the drama and the relationships are incredible, they make sense and leave you biting your nails with anxiety. I don't know how the author is going to create a harem when the two potential dating targets are so difficult and full of personality.The story is about a lonely man who wants to do good after living in darkness, he's foolish, bad at social relations and only knows how to solve things using force, but he tries to do better for those around him. This is a story of romance and intrigue.

Well, even if those jokes include stuff like that as long as its a joke there isnt a problem, but i know what you mean with this person he sometimes clearly comments things that arent jokes(are hidden as such but are (in my opinion) quite obviously not actually humor from his side(and ive seen way darker stuff that was humor than what he has posted)and are problematic in alot of people eyes. Humor hasnt got limits but if it isnt humor than it cleary has. But in this case its quite clear that it is humor. Even tho with somethings he commented he might mean this for real(quite unlikely but might be the case)
My conception is that jokes have a time and a moment. For example, if an important person to you dies and someone makes a joke about it, if the other people around understand the reason for the joke and that it really isn't intended to offend, that's fine, but it's different from going to some random funeral and making the joke. This guy often makes dark jokes, which is fine, but he clearly and often doesn't make a real joke, because not only does he keep making several in the same context, but they often don't have the tone or timing to be jokes.

I feel like Webnovel has an absurd amount of bad novels, readers who keep giving 5 stars to absolutely any shitty novel doesn't help either. Nothing against newbie authors, but I'm not going to force myself to read a novel with a protagonist I can't stand and a horrible story. And my impression is that 99% of the stories there are like that.I personally only use these sites to read fanfics.

I already realized that Webnovel had a problem with bots commenting literally the same nonsense thing for 200 chapters, but deleting negative reviews and criticism is shocking, I can't even finish the first chapter of 5-star novels with millions of views on that site, I think that Wattpad writers have more prestige than that.
Any fanfic is better than most webnovels because they have passion put into it IMO
Personally SH is better for me although RR does have a larger library, most good books end up getting stubbed which doesn't happen much in SH since most of the authors don't really pursue it for a career. Webnovel is still the worst though.

I feel like 80% word space is wasted on system instead story progress, It wont be a problem for me if the chapters were long but they are so short yet author waste so much on reapeating the same info. True facts, but at the same time, when everything is rushed it lacks substance. I wish the academy arc was skipped every time. At the same time, how long is an average arc? I wrote a fanfic with 180k words, (300k+ views) and wrote like 2 arcs and was wrapping up the third arc before I got super bored. Rushed stories lack character development. But hey, very few fanfictions can finish. For fun writers just lose hella motivation when getting smack talked all the time. When you get 400+ likes on a chapter, but the next is 200~ you just don't feel like writing anymore.
Every fanfic of naruto world disappointed me in one or two ways, some of them had a harem tag (which seems to me much more illogical than having a system in Naruto world), and some had overwhelmingly strong mc from the start which killed the joy of reading the story, or novel like "Naruto: The Strongest Kakashi" (Good in the start, average in the middle part and horrible development for the latest part). Here mc has his huge cheat but has to work hard to achieve something. He has an interaction with the main characters of the story but his influence on the whole story only increases statically. Till the latest chapter, it seems worthy to read and even to donate to the Author for his hard work.

I like that the author tried to go in-depth in terms of explanation of different things like jutsus etc.Even if something is just his imagination that is opposite to the original work, I still find it fine.BUT. It feels bland and maybe even pointless. At least for me. The reason is simple. MC is OP. Right from the start. And when I read some explanation for some skill or anything else, I can't find the reason to read it except just name of said skill because I know MC will get all the skills and will "cleverly" use them. I don't have a complete evaluation yet, but I've read at least 50 chapters and from what I've seen so far, the novel is very good. The protagonist is cunning and intelligent, extremely manipulative and certainly not a good person, but he's not a bad person either, he just does what needs to be done. The energy system is pretty easy to understand, nothing too innovative, the world building is going well so far and the characters have personality and aren't just cardboard cutouts. I rate this novel with a potential B or B+. I'll read a few more chapters and then make a more comprehensive assessment.
This story is very 4 star. It isn’t going to blow you away with how creative or deep it is, but it is generally original enough for a story from RR. The old man MC is OP enough to get away with doing what he wants, which is just different from the usual most of the time to be interesting. If you don’t like the whole OP MC concealing power and lurk in the shadows thing this might not be for you. He does show off, but never all the cards. It is a bit of a slow burn with most action not being super life threatening or edge of your seat given MC rarely goes all out.All in all you probably won’t lose braincells reading this.

Read the mtl (one of the best mtl translation i've ever seen) and turns out these first 100 chapters were the best of it. Later mc becomes boring, instead of doing creativie thingslike in this early chapter, he becomes a typical side character you see in other novels.He gets into politics, went on diplomatic tours, develop foregin trades, etc. etc..but most of these projects bear fruit in his lifetime and even when some do he put 99% of the work and earn like 1% of the reward since most benefit goes to top politicians like presidents, foreign trade groups and old rich familes in federation. Writing itself is tedious with countless tangent and info dumb about every new words author introduce but when even the story gets boring i just couldn't continue. dropped around 350+ chapters and i stuck around 150 of that just to see if things get better. O protagonista é bem original do meu ponto de vista, tem sua própria personalidade e interage com diversas situações cômicas. Ele não é OP, ele tem um desenvolvimento que vai crescendo aos poucos. Li alguns comentários de pessoas dizendo que é cópia de Harry Potter, essa frase é a mais pura mentira. Harry Potter não foi o primeiro e não será a última das histórias com sistema de castas, e não foi HP que inventou isso. A Índia até hoje é um exemplo de onde ainda existe sistema de castas e casas. Na novel em questão, as casas dividem os alunos de acordo com suas origens: nobres, cavaleiros e clero. Quase como as castas da Idade Média, portanto não é cópia de uma história ou outra.É uma leitura muito divertida, eu li 38 capítulos em 2 dias, a história e MUITO BOA!!! Inclusive a tradução é ótima. Então senhor leitor, se quiser uma boa história para ler enquanto come uma bolacha ou toma um café, está é uma ótima história!! This is a harry potter fanfic (not a very good one): Author just make minor changes so he wont get copyrighted when he try earning money with this. I'd not go in detail about this since you'd start seeing the parallel in the academy house structure, principle, teachers, sujects, golden trio etc.Author write characters in just one dimension, sometimes they dont even have a real personality of their own and most 'teachers' speak and act in similar manner except for a different name. Anything said/done by one character can change to another if you just change the name with a few minor adjustment.Also, the misunderstading are soo stupid you'd think people are getting 'confunded' instead of real humans with brain. Young masters from cultivaion novels makes more sense than misunderstaing here.
I think the misunderstandings are funny though. Its stupid because our perspective is different from the perspective of the characters in the story. For example, nobles, priests and commoners have that huge impression that Wardanaz- MC's family are either literally or figuratively monsters. They're strong. So when they see an odd guy from that same family, who sctually acts like a guy from his past life, the misunderstandings gets worse. The misunderstanding here is the actual comedy. And Ive read that the future characters to be introduced will also have their own crazy misunderstanding with the MC like Spoilerone noble, a duke, misunderstands Yihan to be a threat aiming for politics(?) and a professor who thought Yihan will be the successor of the Principal so he is scared of our MC and treats him well, and many more misunderstandings with different characters Again, the misunderstandings is part of the actual comedy here.Honestly, the vibe is relaxing. Readers wont stress how the MC will survive, and just have a good laugh.
I can respect the spirit of the story but not the execution. I get what author trynna do but his writing makes it hard for me to continue.

Incredible writing. The author is for sure a professional. Engaging story. Great world building, characters are more than 2d, interpersonal relationships, plausible training methods, and plausible culture of mortals vs cultivators' societies.The MC is killed, and snatches a god seed from a destroyed god, angering another one who had been after that seed in the first place. He is brought to a Greek mythos inspired world where cultivation exists (in the MCs case, he has a system). The MC must hide from the god hunting him, joins a sect, begins training himself, and then the story progresses.This novel reminds me a lot of Riordan's Percy Jackson series, not only because of the Greek foundation, but the writing style too. Riordan's stuff is more young adult though, this is slighty more mature.
