?
Yarin's POV:
Now, the only people who were still conscious in the entire broadcast station were Azazel and
me.
"She's always been a little neurotic. She's been like this for hundreds of years. Sometimes, I can feel a little bit of the helplessness of a father in the human world from her," Azazel said.
"There's no possibility that the problem lies with you?" I asked coldly. "Your discipline and control have made her this way. I won't admit that a lunatic is my 'little aunt'."
"Aunt? Haha, don't say that." Azazel acted as if he had heard a joke. "She's just an insignificant mortal. She can't be compared to your mother and aunt."
"... Are all demons as bad as you? You look down on someone but still let her treat you as her father?"
"If you've seen other demons, boy, you'll know I'm a saint compared to them."
I'd be dumb if I believed him.
Then we began to fall silent. He waited rather leisurely, while I was preoccupied, but I didn't dare to think too deeply about it, for fear that something that Azazel could provide 'entertainment' would pop up in my heart that was already open to reading.
After a few minutes of peace, Azazel suddenly said happily, "She's here!"
A familiar figure slowly appeared in the dark corridor in the next second.
It was my mother.
She frowned and looked serious. She walked past the unconscious people on the ground and went straight to the room at the end of the corridor.
When she saw 'me', a trace of pain and hatred flashed across her face, then, she said in a deep voice, "Azazel, it's you, isn't it?"
Azazel chuckled as he was in my body. "I thought you were mistaken, my dear daughter. After all, from my past experience, mothers will always panic when they encounter things related to their children."
"How is Yarin?"
"Don't worry, I can't bear to lay my hands on my little grandson. Besides, this body is indeed very useful."
Hearing Azazel's contemptuous comment, my mother clenched her fists.
"Don't look at me like that, child. I'm not here to cause trouble for you or do anything bad. I just miss you, dear. Isn't it normal for a father to miss his daughter?"
Azazel put on an aggrieved expression.
My mother was unmoved. She said coldly, "But no father would kill anyone just to see his daughter. Such a 'father' would only be treated as a lunatic and thrown into prison by his daughter."
Azazel shook his head and said slyly, "You can't be falsely accusing me. I didn't take the initiative to kill anyone. There are many ways for me to descend into this world. Sacrificing human lives is just one of them. If you want to settle the score, you must find your little sister. I can't control that child."
"My younger sister?"
"Oh, look at me. I forgot that you sisters haven't met yet. No, you should have seen her before. It's just that you don't know who she is." Azazel laughed maliciously.
"Do you still remember the Rocky Mountains? Pine forest, black cocoon, and... Linda."
This sentence evoked my mother's distant memories. Her pupils constricted, and her cold expression revealed a little surprise.
"I knew it. Linda and Frank were your doing!"
"I told you, you can't blame me. It was your little sister who did it. I've already told Yarin the story. If you want to know, why don't you ask my grandson? Speaking of which, what a coincidence. That she-wolf is your little sister. Her name is 'Linda'. Perhaps she is destined to die by your little sister's hands."
Azazel became colder and colder as he spoke. In the end, he stopped laughing. His calm voice sounded like a mechanical, organic substance, making people feel cold.
"Cut the crap, demon. The werewolves will never let you come and go as you please."
A stream of water surged around my mother, and the invisible devourer was ready to devour the feast in front of her.
"Last time, the Moon Goddess banished you. This time, her people will do their best to protect her dignity."
Faced with my mother's battle intent, Azazel shook his head impatiently. "No, no, no, my dear. This isn't right. Today, we should act out a father-daughter meeting, but there's no such thing as a war. Why can't you understand me? I'm a little disappointed. You're just as stubborn as your little sister.
"Alright, alright. At least the father-daughter meeting has ended smoothly. I don't expect too much from you. After all, we have plenty of time in the future."
Just as he finished speaking, I felt my soul, which had been squeezed, suddenly relax. It was as if the junk that I had stuffed into the box began to disappear, and my sponge could finally slowly rebound.
"I hope you are more obedient the next time we meet. You have to be a good girl to please your father."
Azazel's voice began to distort, spread, and gradually become nothingness. At the same time, black smoke surged out of my seven orifices.
"Oh right, take it as your pay. I'll give you some interesting news before I leave," Azazel said
jokingly.
"Moon Goddess, she hasn't appeared in a long time, has she? Ahhh, I guess the moonlight will fade one day?"
After dropping the bomb, Azazel left.
