Su Mo glanced back and his heart skipped a beat.

Emerging from the lake was a five-meter-tall beast, with a body stretching over twenty meters long, covered in greasy black skin peppered with glowing red spots.

It had a hideous crocodile-like head, eight thick thighs, and a long tail.

Just then, his bracelet vibrated.

Su Mo looked at it, and sure enough, the bracelet’s screen displayed a notification.

“Type II Mutant Species (Elite Level) · Evil Teeth Beast”

Seeing the notification, Su Mo’s face turned as ugly as it could possibly be.

Even a Type I would be tough for them to handle in their current state; they were simply no match.

“Run to the forest!”

Su Mo immediately commanded in a deep voice.

Sun Duoxiang didn’t have time to complain, sprinting as he followed Su Mo.

Unfortunately, they had underestimated the Evil Teeth Beast chasing them.

But, disappointingly, the Evil Teeth Beast seemed fixated on Sun Duoxiang, continuing its pursuit.

Sun Duoxiang’s face went pale with extreme fear, which somehow propelled him to run even faster.

“Big brother, save me!”

Su Mo glanced back at Sun Duoxiang, being chased, and picked up his pace towards the direction of a tank.

The Evil Teeth Beast grew more agitated, able to swallow its prey in a few bites, but the trees significantly slowed it down.

But Sun Duoxiang soon couldn’t run any longer; he was gasping frantically, his mouth dry and parched.

Already hungry and thirsty, his physical strength was rapidly depleting.

Su Mo felt an inexplicable excitement mixed with the nearing sense of death; surprisingly, he wasn’t scared at all.

Just then, he drove the tank out of the small woods to the other side, where there was a highway.

On the right side of the road was a deep ravine.

Seeing the ravine, Su Mo immediately had an idea.

At that moment, the Evil Teeth Beast burst out, no longer hindered by trees, and it sped up.

It opened its massive jaws, revealing teeth sharp enough to crush steel, ready to tear everything apart.

Su Mo remained eerily calm as he drove the tank crazily towards the edge of the road.

He was completely engrossed, staring at the nearing guardrail, his lips moving slightly to calculate the timing, completely ignoring the Evil Teeth Beast that had caught up.

Su Mo instantly moved, furiously turning the steering wheel, pulling the lever, and gently pressing the brakes.

The entire tank swung around sharply, almost hugging the edge of the road.

Behind him, the Evil Teeth Beast, due to its enormous momentum, couldn’t stop and charged straight into a ravine, letting out a furious roar as it fell.

Of course, Su Mo acted as if he hadn’t heard it and rushed back into the grove of trees.

In the woods, Sun Duoxiang was squatting on the ground with a despondent look, his heart going cold, feeling there was no one more miserable than him.

Just then, Su Mo drove the tank to a stop in front of Sun Duoxiang, covering him in a cloud of dust and dead leaves.

Su Mo poked his head out of the tank, looking at Sun Duoxiang and asked.

Upon hearing Su Mo’s voice, Sun Duoxiang looked up excitedly, shouting.

“Big brother, you’re back, I thought you had abandoned me.”

“Idiot, how could I pick you up if I didn’t shake that monster off first?”

Su Mo didn’t bother to retort further.

Suddenly, a thunderous roar and a huge explosion sounded in the distance.

Su Mo’s heart tightened, and he shouted at Sun Duoxiang.

“Get in quickly, the monster is catching up!”

“Big brother, you said you had shaken him off.”

Sun Duoxiang, while hurriedly climbing onto the tank, asked in a panic.

“Less whining, load the ammunition!”

Su Mo’s heart sank, true to its nature as a Type II Mutant Species, it was incredibly strong.

“Okay!”

Sun Duoxiang hastily complied, frantically loading the ammunition.

Su Mo controlled the tank, accelerating to flee the area.

They hadn’t gotten far when Sun Duoxiang yelled in fear, “Big brother, hurry, that monster is catching up from behind, its mouth is glowing red!”

Hearing Sun Duoxiang’s words, Su Mo sharply turned the steering wheel.

Zi!

A Heat Radiation Energy Beam blasted from behind, striking the ground to the left of the tank.

Though it missed, the blast wave from the explosion directly flipped the tank onto its side, crashing it back down to the ground.

In the cabin, Sun Duoxiang was shaken up badly.

“My back!”

Su Mo immediately stabilized himself, controlled the turret to rotate, and fired a shell at the pursuing Evil Teeth Beast.

Direct hit!

Unfortunately, the effect was still not very good; the Evil Teeth Beast burst through the smoke of the explosion, its speed reduced slightly, but it did not stop.

“Load the ammunition!”
