Chapter 259 Jinx.
Chapter 259 Jinx.
"This is starting to get annoying, but if he keeps doing this..." Glasya paused and then looked back at hundreds of thousands of corrupted Metatron. "Isn't that only making us stronger?" Glasya asked.
"Not particularly, because they're his creation and he can easily make them cease to exist," Amaryllis answered.
As soon as Amaryllis said that, the corrupted Metatron started to act weird and then they all died. The light within their bodies started to dissipate and disappeared with their existence. Deviatris and the other Demon Princesses looked at her with a bit annoyed expression because she jinxed it.
"Well, whatever," Zherlthsh whipped her whip as she looked at a fresh army of angels that came out of the gate. "If he wants us to stay here, we will stay here. We can handle them on our own, Mykel. Just go ahead with the rest," Zherlthsh suggested.
Mykel nodded and then decided to leave Luciel and her sisters behind, but it was as he expected that those angels wouldn't let them go easily. Beldathiel created a barrier and prevented the angels from leaving the barrier and catching up on Mykel and the others.
"You know you can just go with him," Luciel said as she looked at Beldathiel watching Mykel disappear into the distance.
"He doesn't need me, but my sisters are," Beldathiel answered and looked at Luciel with a gentle smile. "We haven't been really fighting side by side, so I guess this will be the first and last at the same time," Beldathiel continued.
"Don't say that. You're saying as if you're going to leave us," Luciel said as she checked her sword and it was slowly regenerating and sharpening itself. "This team is cursed by jinxes. I don't know who brought this, so don't say something dangerous," Luciel added.
"Hmm? I never thought you would be this worried," Beldathiel suddenly appeared right behind Luciel and hugged her from behind. "Don't worry. As long as you're here to protect me, I feel safe," Beldathiel continued as she giggled.
"Of course, I'll protect you, but can you not hug me? Even though there's no gravity here, your body is still heavy," Luciel asked as she looked at Beldathiel from over her shoulder.
Beldathiel frowned and made sad noises as she removed her arms from Luciel's body.
Mykel and the others flew at the speed of light and finally reached the garden. They looked around and thought there would be another surprise that would await them there. They all looked at the Void Clouds that blocked their path from seeing the Kingdom, and that also meant Mara was waiting for them somewhere up there.
"She's coming," Elena said as she watched the Void Clouds descend.
Mara came out of the clouds with a big smile on her face as she looked down at them. She had become so powerful that it made them feel a bit uneasy and nobody knew how strong she had become after staying at The Lord's side for so long.
"I have been waiting, Mykel. I wonder what have you been doing inside that little world of yours. Preparing the petty tricks that you hide under those sleeves of yours?" Mara asked with a smirk and eyebrows raised.
"I have no time to play with you," Mykel said as he looked up at the stairs. "You're too easy to kill," Mykel continued as he walked toward the stairs.
Mara laughed as she blocked the path to the stairs with her clouds, she then landed right in front of him, close enough to get punched. She looked him in the eye with a huge grin, but no matter how she tried to provoke him, he didn't have a single interest in fighting her.
"Why don't you give it a try?" Mara asked as she pointed at her cheek.
"With pleasure," Aurea's voice could be heard from behind Mara.
Mara didn't feel Aurea's presence at all before she spoke, and when she turned around, Aurea's hand was right in front of her face. She was punched so hard that it made Mykel flinch because of the shockwave. But, Mara was still standing tall and didn't budge from where she stood.
"That was quite a punch," Mara said as her cold gaze stared into Aurea's soul. "You would need more than that to make me feel pain," Mara continued.
"I'm glad you said that because it was just a greeting!" Aurea clenched her fist that was still on Mara's face, and then she released all her power on her fist. "Because if you're hurt from just that it would be disappointing!" Aurea punched Mara again.
Mara was thrown away and this time the garden was obliterated and turned into small chunks of dirt. She was thrown off the garden and she could feel her face had been deformed, broken, and unrecognizable. She didn't like it at all knowing a mere lackey could hurt her and make her bleed.
"That stings," Aurea said as she looked at her fist that turned into mush because she broke every bone, tenderized her flesh and muscles, and exploded her veins. "Looks like I need to use it," Aurea continued as she let her hand regenerate.
The Void Clouds became thicker and started to surround the whole garden with it. Shelly tried to reverse it, but to her surprise, she couldn't do it anymore.
"One is too many," Mara said as she came out of the clouds with a cold gaze. "All of you are so annoying to deal with," Mara continued.
"So what? Do you think you alone can handle all of us at once? Do you think we are the same as those weaklings Demons?" Aurea asked as she cracked her fingers.
"Oh? Do you think I'm alone?" Mara asked with a mischievous smile. "I also have trusted allies that will help me," Mara chuckled.
Something came out of the clouds and it was another Mara, and then another one came out from the other side. More and more Mara came out of the clouds, and each of them held the same amount of power as the real one. If one Mara was already a problem, there were thirty of them in total who came out of the clouds.
"I should thank you, Mykel," Mara said as she looked at Mykel. "If it wasn't because of you, I wouldn't exist, and The Lord also sends his regards for giving him ideas," Mara smirked.
Mykel didn't show any expression, but deep down he wondered what that was supposed to mean, those words were enough to bother him.
"Ahh, whatever," Aurea cracked her neck. "I'm sorry, guys. I have to do this," Aurea said as she activated her [Lunacy] skill.
The veins inside Aurea's body started to pop out and her eyes started to bleed as she chuckled frantically. Her teeth and nails started to grow long and sharp, her wings started to tear her back and they started to grow bigger and bigger. Everyone started to distance themselves from her because they already knew what was going to happen.
Aurea's last ability was from her [Lunacy] skill, and it was called [Psychosis] that made her affected by [Lunacy]. She lost all her senses, her mind, her thoughts, and her consciousness, in exchange for unlimited power. Basically, if she couldn't hurt someone with her current strength, she would grow even stronger until she got what she wanted.
"Now!" Jeanne shouted.
Shelly and Rozan cast a spell and brought everyone away from the garden and teleported miles away. Aurea's glowing red eyes were glaring at Mara, and that was when Mara realized that thirty of her wouldn't be enough to kill her.
Aurea disappeared and in an instant, she decapitated and mutilated all thirty of Mara. She started to growl as her fingers made cracking sounds, and the moment she heard movement, she ran toward it and obliterated it. She then saw Mara standing right in front of her, unaffected by her powerful attacks. Enjoy more content from My Virtual Library Empire
"Monster," Mara said as she grabbed Aurea's head and crushed it.
Aurea's body was twitching and it collapsed not long after that.
Before Mara could walk toward Mykel, Aurea's body started to stand up even without a head. She slowly turned around and saw Aurea's head regenerating, and that surprised her a bit.
"So you can't die. How annoying," Mara said with her eyes squinted.
