Destroying My Own World

Chapter 268 Mykel's nature.

Chapter 268 Mykel's nature.

"If Mykel has no form, then how could he exist and walk on Earth? He was a mortal, a mere human being with nothing on him," Elena asked after she witnessed the truth.

"That's what makes him different than me. He knew he was an existence that could outlive my own because he could exist without light," The Lord answered as he snapped his fingers and stopped the train of memories. "He can be whatever he wants as he's a vast emptiness unlike me who already has a form and is filled with radiance," he continued and snapped his fingers again to bring Elena back to his Kingdom.

Elena slowly understood the situation as she connected the dots in front of her. She realized why the system couldn't comprehend her power as she herself bore his power and could be said a part of him.

"You can't win against him, so you decided to leave that world you created. You left, hoping to have a new beginning without him, but you realized it wasn't that easy," Elena pointed out. "No matter how many times you created your other self to thrive and be freed from him, he always followed," Elena continued.

"The peace that you mentioned earlier. This is just the beginning where calamity, the darkness is still lurking behind my back," The Lord sat on his throne and sent everyone away. "I will grant your wish, but I need your help first," he said.

Elena furrowed her eyebrows and realized what The Lord needed from her.

"You want me to get rid of him before he can manifest," Elena said as she clenched her fists.

"This darkness isn't your father nor your lover. It's nothing but a mere consciousness. I need you to make it disappear," The Lord's voice echoed, showing his authority over the universe.

Elena loosened up her fists, considering the deal that The Lord proposed. She was thinking really hard, but then she chuckled as she shook her head, ashamed that she considered accepting that offer.

"You can keep running," Elena said as she rested her hands on her waist. "I want the man that my other self to love to exist in this world as well," Elena smiled as she slowly walked backward.

"Then you shall live here, forever," The Lord responded.

"Forever? I don't think so..." Nal's voice could be heard in the sky.

Elena and The Lord looked up and saw a crack in the space, and then Luciel was the first one that came out of it. She showed her brilliance light that was almost as bright as The Lord with her hundreds of wings on her back.

Luciel landed right in front of Elena, and then she looked over her shoulder to look at Elena with a gentle smile on her face. Elena couldn't believe that Luciel and the others had managed to find her.

"We're glad that you're okay. I hope you didn't wait long," Luciel said.

Elena scoffed, but then suddenly she was being pulled from behind, and then a hand forced her to turn around. She looked at Lyneth's trembling eyes and lips as she looked at her from top to bottom.

Lyneth hugged her so tightly as she stroked Elena's hair and back gently. Although Elena was fine and didn't feel threatened by being alone in a different world, being hugged by Lyneth made her feel safe.

The Lord stood up and that was when all the Archangels landed at his side, but the moment they looked at Luciel, they noticed the power that she possessed. They knew the moment they looked at her that they wouldn't be able to fight her, not to mention that Elena was already a threat.

Luciel looked at the Archangels and then she casually walked up to the throne. She suddenly stopped midway and stared at the light, the one that sat on the throne with a power that resonated with hers.

"If you want to fight, then we will fight," Luciel said as she slowly spread her massive wings. "But after listening to your conversation with her, I believe you don't want that either," Luciel pointed out.

"The power you possess is mine, you have no power here to use that against me," The Lord said and yet his voice was so calm and gentle. "You have found your way back, there's no reason for you to stay here," he said to Elena.

Hearing that only made Luciel and the others on guard because it sounded too good to be true. Even Elena thought it was suspicious for The Lord to let her go without stopping them.

"What you saw and heard, I want you to remember it and now that you can go back, I have a request. That's if you want to listen to my request," The Lord said, and that shocked everyone present there.

"I'm listening," Elena said coldly.

"As I have said earlier Mykel isn't an evil entity, and that's his true nature for who he is. What I want from you is to prevent him from getting devoured by his own nature because not only he not be able to satiate his ambition, but he will harm anything that lives," The Lord's words of worriness silence the universe. "I don't care if my own existence must be sacrificed in the pursuit of this cause, but I implore you to help us both. Mykel's boundless ambition threatens to consume him entirely, and with it, all life in every corner of creation including you, his own daughter."

Luciel grunted and suddenly all her sisters came out of her body, but then Beldathiel walked up the stairs. She looked worried and the Archangels didn't hesitate to point their weapons at her before she could reach The Lord.

"It's already too late, he has devoured everything," Beldathiel said as she looked up at The Lord in front of her. "The other you have been struggling to stop him, and the more he fed Mykel with his light, the stronger Mykel became. He has regained his power and since he has your power within him, he has turned into something more vicious than the abyss itself," Beldathiel pointed out and looked at The Lord worriedly.

The Lord looked at the fragile-looking woman in front of him, a small being and yet possessed something that he couldn't describe that made him wonder. But that wasn't his primary concern since the real problem was Mykel's awakened power.

"Now that it has happened, and the fact Mykel created a cycle of his paradoxes and will follow his path, everything will be over," The Lord said calmly.

"What do you mean it will be over?" Elena asked with her eyes squinted. "You mean that you won't be able to stop him and that you have admitted that you have lost?" Elena added.

"Yes, and it's because of how Mykel used his ability to create a paradox of the cycle of his life. He let his other self exist through the same path he took, everything that he did and what he will do will reflect on his past and future. With that being said, and how he has awakened his power, he will no longer acknowledge living beings. He will try to destroy everything that is alive," The Lord explained. "If you go back there now, he won't see you as his daughter anymore, just another living being that needs to be be destroyed," The Lord pointed out.

Everyone was shocked and at first, they didn't believe The Lord's words at all until Elena and Nal said that he was a being who would never tell lies. He was a being who used truth as his weapon and he used it to fight against anything that came to his face.

"It's not too late. It can still be prevented," The Lord pointed out. "You, as the daughter of Mykel, possess a unique connection to him, a bond that transcends time and space. You know the truth about who he is and who you are. You can bring him back and prevent him from going to his nature,"

"How?" Elena asked and she didn't hesitate to ask.

"I will give you my power, be the light that will resonate with his darkness because you possess something that not only brings anything to nothingness but the beautiful light you created from it. You might be the only one, or perhaps one of the two beings that can make it happen," The Lord answered.

"Who's the other one?" Elena asked.

"Her," The Lord pointed at Beldathiel.
