Destroying My Own World

Chapter 270 Mykel's will.

Chapter 270 Mykel's will.

Every time Elena and Mykel blocked each other's attacks, a faint sense of reality was born from it. A reality that could withstand the power of those two and started to exist independently.

The darkness that devoured the universe started to shine once again, but it shined not because of the stars, rather it shined because of the realities. Those realities were the same realities that Vincze and Bhatmelec created, paradoxes of the battle and its possible outcomes.

What made them different from what Vincze and Bhatmelec created was the realities that Elena and Mykel created were real. To put it simply, the realities they created were the outcomes of the future of themselves. Little Mykel was in one of those realities where Elena from that world tried to defeat him as well.

The outcome hadn't been determined, and it would come to an end when Elena or Mykel were killed. The longer they fought, the more realities that appeared around them like mirrors reflecting their actions.

Neither Mykel nor Elena could stop each other from hurting and how the abyss had turned into new realities. Although Mykel seemed to be the one getting pushed back, his darkness had no bounds and that was when he used his true power.

Mykel grabbed Elena's hand and that was when he started to devour her life energy. Elena could renew what was lost, but to do so she had to let it lose first, and that was when Mykel took her life energy little by little. With that being said, Elena lost twice as much as Mykel since the reality she created cost her life energy.

Jeanne, Luciel, and Aurea who were the strongest mentally and physically were trembling and couldn't stand properly. The three of them were the only ones who were conscious while the rest passed out the moment they felt the clash between Mykel and Elena.

The Archangels and the Angels couldn't comprehend it as well even though it was only a glimpse of it. The Lord was the only one who survived that, and even he was affected terribly by it. He knew at that moment how powerful Mykel had become and how he knew it wouldn't take much of an effort for Mykel to defeat him.

"It has awoken," The Lord warned as he felt the movements of the darkness, hiding behind his back. "The power from Mykel resonated with the darkness and awoken it," he continued as he stood up and woke everyone.

All the Archangels and the Angels spread their wings and went straight to where the ominous aura came from. The Lord was left alone and then he walked down the stairs to approach Beldathiel.

"You possess that will," The Lord said.

"Are you talking about the forgotten will?" Amaryllis immediately asked the moment she understood what The Lord meant.

"Forgotten? It's not forgotten, it was hidden from me," The Lord answered. "That will is something that doesn't belong to me in the first place. It was Mykel's will that he hid from me, and I believe he said it was forgotten because my other self had no memories about it,"

"It can't be. If that was Mykel's will, why the Archangels said that it was yours, and why they tried to take it from her?" Amaryllis asked with her eyebrows furrowed.

"Because it resonates with my existence and they mistook it as my will. Something that resonates with my existence, they would believe it belongs to me, and you can't the fault in that," The Lord answered.

"So the power in my hand..." Amaryllis said as she looked at her own hands, realizing she possessed Mykel's will.

"Yours and hers are totally different. You only scraped the surface as she understood the power within the will," The Lord answered as he felt the Archangels and the Angels encountered the abyss. "Your fondness toward Mykel and the fact you witnessed the truth behind that power. You can achieve like what Elena has achieved,"

Beldathiel had heard everything and saw everything about Mykel's origin. Nobody else knew since The Lord didn't want to show his past to everyone, only the being he believed in.

She connected the dots and that gave her a revelation about Mykel's will. The reason why Mykel could achieve everything was as if things were right in his palm. The reason why Mykel could follow The Lord wherever he went and found him immediately.

That will possess Mykel's true nature that he had abandoned, making him as weak as a mortal in exchange for having a body, to become alive. That understanding made Beldathiel find the beginning of Mykel's journey as a human being. The will that he hid guided him and made him through everything and turned him into what he became.

With the profound Beldathiel gathered and Mykel's will capabilities of opening another reality, granting wishes by sacrificing something in return, and the endless ambition that gave infinite capacity of all aspects. Those were the three powers within the will, and so far she had experienced all three of them.

"Fracture..." Beldathiel mumbled.

The loud sounds of cracking could be heard in the sky, below the ground, and in the air around them. Everyone was startled by it and wondered what had happened until suddenly cracks were created in the space.

The cracks were different from the ones they had seen before, the cracks were like a cracked mirror. The sky, the ground, the pillars, and even their bodies were cracked, but they didn't feel anything at all.

"Another one who has achieved enlightenment," The Lord said as he looked at the cracks and how they were about to shatter. "Your power, it can destroy one reality into oblivion,"

"If I let it happen, what will happen?" Beldathiel asked.

"We're all going to cease to exist as you have the ability to destroy a whole reality. I would survive, but it would be really troublesome if you do that," The Lord answered calmly.

"What do you want me to do with this power?" Beldathiel asked again and stopped the world from shattering.

"Wouldn't you want to be the only one in these multiple realities? To show that you're unique, untouched, and unknown by the others?" The Lord asked back as he walked back to his throne.

"You're asking her to use this power and erase all the realities where we all exist?" Nal asked as she put her hands on Beldathiel's shoulders from behind, signaling Beldathiel to let her handle the situation. "That would be a lot of work, and even if it would benefit us, it would benefit you the most," Nal pointed out with her eyes squinted.

Nal knew exactly how to deal with The Lord and she had been doing that oftentimes. Although she was confident of her ability, The Lord was someone she shouldn't take lightly knowing the one she was facing wasn't the one who created her. She already lost her footing if she wanted to argue with him, but that didn't stop her from trying.

"You're not wrong, but wouldn't that make Mykel the only Mykel in these layers of reality?" The Lord asked back. "As long as there's only one Mykel, and how he's capable of hunting me down, I think it would benefit you the most," The Lord explained.

"How are we going to do that? Doesn't that mean her other self would have the same power as her?" Nal asked as she looked at Beldathiel in front of her.

"If Mykel's cycles of life were made from the path he threaded and the choices you all made, shouldn't her other self would be here right now?" The Lord asked back as he sat down. "All of your other self should be here by now as well, but they didn't. It's because I prevented them from coming here, making all of you adrift from the cycle," he continued.

At that moment The Lord cornered Nal and his reasoning was enough to beat out all the arguments that Nal had prepared. She felt utterly defeated and she was pissed and angry that she wasn't a match to his scheme.

"What do you gain from this?" Nal asked and she was anxious and suspicious about The Lord's scheme.

"A peace where I don't have to create another reality just to avoid my brother," The Lord answered.
