Chapter 1030: The Hunter Arrives

Chapter 1030: The Hunter Arrives

Lenny sat over the corpses of the Centaur twins, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of curiosity and interest.

The crowd watched in uneasy silence, unsure of what to expect next. With a wave of his hand, his surgical implements materialized, glinting menacingly under the dim light of the sub-plane.

Lenny’s tools floated around him, each one moving with a precision and purpose that hinted at an intimate understanding of anatomy. He carefully made the first incision on Deckner’s torso, peeling back layers of muscle and flesh with ease. Blood trickled out, but Lenny’s control over his own cells allowed him to staunch the flow almost immediately, keeping the area clean and visible.

As he worked, he marveled at the Centaur’s unique anatomy. His previous battles had given him glimpses, but now he could fully explore.

this was something that he could not just resist.

Normally, he would have not done such detailed work in public.

But Deckner had destroyed his Semi Arcane doman in one hit, making him realize that he was lacking in certain areas.

This was something that he needed to greatly fix.

Although the bow had a great effect for this, Lenny was looking into body of the twins because deckner had been the one to supply the bow power.

Lennyu wanted to know why and how the bow could use power of lower realm than him to destroy a semi arcane domain. After all, this was a skill those at the peak of the Greater Demon realm used.

meanwhile, Naamah and lamastu had all their attention on him.

battles had long began in other parts of the sub plane, but their attention was on only him.

"His is planning to achieve a comprension now!? In the middle of a life and death battle?" Lamastu asked out loud, the question on everybody’s mind.

But lenny did not mind as he continued his work. He was one to take advantage of every opportunity at growth.

He carefully removed the skin and muscle to expose the human heart. It beat weakly, still trying to sustain life despite the damage it had sustained.

"Interesting," Lenny muttered, his voice low and filled with fascination. His hands moved deftly, revealing the intricate network of veins and arteries. He traced the blood flow with his fingers, feeling the pulse of life ebbing away.

Next, he moved to the horse’s body. With another precise incision, he exposed the second heart nestled within the chest cavity. This heart was different, larger and pulsating with a faint, ethereal glow. Lenny’s eyes narrowed as he observed the magical energy emanating from it.

"So, this is where the magic comes from," he whispered to himself. He extended a tendril of his own blood into the heart, feeling the flow of power. It was an incredible sensation, like touching the very essence of magic itself. He could see the patterns of energy, the way it intertwined with the physical and spiritual aspects of the Centaur’s body.

Lenny delved deeper, examining the nerve endings and the connections between the two hearts. He noticed that the human heart was responsible for sustaining life, while the horse heart was the source of magic, distributing it throughout the body. The interplay between the two was a delicate balance, one that allowed the Centaur to harness immense power.

It was much different from the heart of a demon that had its secondary heart behind the first, handling the flow of magic. And in lower demons, one heart doing both jobs.

This was truly fascinating. the distribution of work load could ensure that the Centaur produced more power than its actual rank or even realm.

His hands moved with surgical precision, dissecting the nerves and tracing them back to their origins. He could see how the magical energy flowed through the nerves, enhancing strength and speed. The Centaur’s body was a marvel of evolution, designed to channel and utilize magic in ways that few other creatures could.

As he worked, Lenny entered a state of deep focus. The world around him faded away, and all that existed was the intricate dance of life and magic beneath his hands. He was in a zone of unfathomable understanding and comprehension, seeing the world in a way that few ever could. His mind raced with possibilities, thinking of how he could use this knowledge to further his own power.

Despite the gruesome nature of his work, there was a strange beauty to it. The precision, the understanding, the connection to something greater. Lenny was not just dissecting a body; he was uncovering the secrets of life and magic, pushing the boundaries of what he knew and what he could become.

The spectators watched in a mixture of horror and awe, unable to tear their eyes away. They could sense the magnitude of what Lenny was doing, even if they didn’t fully understand it. This was more than a mere dissection; it was a glimpse into the very fabric of existence.

Finally, Lenny stood, his hands stained with blood but his eyes shining with newfound knowledge. He had seen the inner workings of the Centaur’s body, understood its secrets, and now he was ready to use that knowledge to his advantage. He looked up at the crowd, a slow smile spreading across his face.

Lenny waved his hand sending the corpse of Deckner and his sister into his storage.

It was true that he wanted to continue, after all, no one who enjoyed his work liked to be disrupted from the zone, but there was a pressing matter at the back of his mind.

Lenny turned in a particular direction. He spoke gently. "If you had waited this long, then it could only mean that you also entered a state of comprehension as you watched me work, or is that not so?"

The moment he said this, a figure slowly materialized from the mountain. It was the Demon frog that had stood close to him during the competition.

However, looking at it, lenny frowned. "Nice try! Now show me your true face... Hunter!"
