Chapter 1042: Iris The Unseen

Chapter 1042: Iris The Unseen

"So what is your name sport?" The lazy woman asked him. Even though he was pointing his weapons at her, she still had not moved from her spot.

"Agent ’X’ will suffice." Agent X replied.

She chuckled a bit, "You are a very weird one. Retaining your code name from the other world. Do you not fear the old ones will track you easier?"

"I want them to know." Agent X stated. he frowned. His weapons were on his ptrey, but she was still enjoying her time on the Ice whale.

he wasted no time, letting the guns fire out their rounds.

*WUSH!* the target moved.

Agent X frowned. What had surprised him was not even the fact that she had dodged his attacks. No! it was the fact that the Whale had also moved with her, and still remained lazying around on the ice Whale.

He fired again and again, but it was the same thing.

"I’ll do you a favor GRANDson, and give you the opportunity of walking away. The Oath with the Morningstar on our Bloodline is a curse. I’ll advice that you take the second chance that has been given at life and go live at the edge of the cosmos or something." her brows knitted together. "This will be you finally warning."

On saying this, She patted the whale and it opened up its mouth. Within it was a mountain corpses, all of which were human heads. the Cold from the Whale preserved them properly such that none decayed. But the deaths was not what surprised him.

It was the head on the pyramid that caught his attention. Even though it was dead, and terribly cut, with an eye falling from the socket, he instantly, recognized it.

"Father?" he asked in surprise.

She giggled a bit, "Oh, you can recognize him. My stupid son, as foolish as you are now, came to take my mark." she sighed, "...I had no choice but to do what any mother would do in my position and give him a good spanking on the butt. "Not too much, but just enough for him to still look cute." she gave a lazy smile.

As they talked, a giant beast that had been shot down in space, suddenly crashed to the ground, a distance behind Agent X. The explosion it cursed was a massive one, illuminating the entire place.

It was only now that Agent X was able to notice that within the frigid cold and misty air, he was already surrounded by the Ice whales. They glided through the solid ice like ethereal spirits, their eyes fixed on him.

"Back on the ninth earth, I was fond of whales. Rather then working for the organization, I would rather go at sea and accompany them. They are very friendly creatures you know. Also very peaceful. Of course this is until you mess with them.

The Whales of this planet are a million times more vicious than those back on earth. And you are what... somewhere within the Deep Demon rank? You are nothing before them. Each one, a Peak Deep Demon rank cultivator of this world.

You are practically like dinner to them. Do you still want to challenge me Grandson?" she warned again.

Agent X had his head bowed, his eyes looking left and right. he could feel the magic coming out of the whales as they surrounded him.

With just a word, he knew that they would jump into an attack.

"Grandson, if you do not detest from this act, i will be forced to tell you my name, and once I do, your fate is sealed."

Agent X did not respond at first, and he he chuckled as he raised his head to her, "oh I know you, grandmother... Iris the Unseen!"

The moment he said that name, she frowned as she waved a finger, signaling to the whales, "dinner!" her voice echoing through the icy wasteland.

The ice whales surged forward with a terrifying grace, their massive bodies undulating through the ice. They attacked with an array of methods, their bodies shimmering with an eerie blue glow. Some opened their enormous jaws, releasing torrents of freezing breath that crystallized the air itself. Others shot razor-sharp shards of ice from their bodies, each projectile slicing through the air with deadly precision.

Agent X fired his dragon pistols, the magical weapons roaring to life. Each bullet, imbued with dark magic, expanded upon impact, consuming the whales in fiery explosions. The icy beasts were blown apart, chunks of their frozen bodies raining down around him. Despite his efforts, the whales were relentless, their numbers overwhelming.

One whale emerged from beneath the ice, its massive head crashing through the surface and dragging Agent X under the icy sea. The cold was unlike anything he had ever felt, a searing, burning sensation that seemed to ignite every cell in his body. He fought back, firing his pistols into the creature’s maw, but the ice whales continued their assault.

Another whale circled around, its body shimmering with a magical aura. It released a wave of freezing energy that enveloped Agent X, encasing him in a layer of ice. He shattered the ice with a burst of magic, but the cold had sapped his strength, and he struggled to keep fighting.

As he battled, more whales joined the fray, their attacks becoming increasingly coordinated. They struck from all sides, their icy bodies crashing into him with bone-shattering force. His dragon pistols fired continuously, each shot taking down another whale, but their sheer numbers were too much.

The pressure mounted, and Agent X could feel the ice whales’ attacks taking their toll. His vision blurred, and his movements grew sluggish. He was pulled deeper into the icy depths, the cold consuming him. Despite his best efforts, he was being overwhelmed.

Above, Iris watched with a lazy smile, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Such a shame," she mused. "You could have lived a quiet life, away from all this. But you chose this path, Grandson. And now, you will pay the price."

Agent X fought with hard, but the ice whales were too powerful. Their relentless assault drove him deeper into the frozen sea, and he could feel his strength fading. As the icy darkness closed in around him, with one final, desperate effort, he fired his pistols into the surrounding ice, causing a massive explosion that rocked the frozen sea. The ice whales were thrown back, but their grip on him remained unbroken. As the cold and darkness consumed him, Agent X could not help but feel maybe he had been pulled into a trap from the very beginning.

The last thing he saw before everything went black was the lazy, mocking smile of Iris the Unseen, watching from above as her ice whales claimed their prize.

And then he muttered lowly, "BLOODLINE ARCANE ABILITY ’HELLFIRE!’"
