Chapter 1048: Fate Can Be Delayed, But Never Denied...

Father Black turned to Clawed, his eyes narrowing with intent. "What about the issue of having our own soldiers? Any news?" he asked, his voice a low rumble of concern.

Clawed sighed deeply, his massive shoulders rising and falling. "Insect-B and Victor are working on that," he began. "While we will be able to get more ants on our side, at least at the strength of the first rank of the Great Demon realm, I am not so sure about the werewolves. Although they do have incredible potential, their growth rate is exceedingly slow. Before they become something of substance, it could take many, many years, and that is time we do not have."

Father Black sighed, his expression tightening as he changed his cigarette once more. The end of the new cigarette flared to life as he took a long drag, the smoke curling around him. He nodded, a resolute look settling on his face. "Don’t worry, I’ll handle it." Rising from his seat, he waved his hand, summoning a swirling portal that shimmered into existence.

"Where are you going?" Clawed asked, his tone curious yet respectful.

Father Black stepped toward the portal, his form silhouetted against the glowing light. "I am going to solve the problem," he stated firmly, before stepping through the portal.

On the other side, Father Black found himself in the open sky, defying gravity as he floated effortlessly. Below him, the landscape stretched out, dominated by a high mountain where Victor, a boy of just over 15 years and Alpha to the werewolf clan, stood.

By his side was his mate, Allison, clinging tightly to his arm as if afraid he might suddenly disappear. But her grip was not born of fear but of a shared resolve.

Victor’s gaze was intense as he looked down the mountain, where nine hundred pure-blood werewolves stood ready. Each one had fur as white as snow, their forms hulking and powerful. Today was another hellish training session, supervised by none other than Victor himself. His goal was to make them stronger, to hone their abilities to their utmost potential.

The mountain, for the day’s trial was a battlefield of deadly obstacles. Sharp, jagged rocks jutted out at precarious angles, forming a treacherous path that required precise agility and strength to navigate.

Massive boulders, suspended by ropes, swung back and forth, threatening to crush any werewolf who misjudged their timing. Deep pits, lined with spikes and filled with venomous serpents, awaited those who faltered in their steps.

In addition to these natural hazards, there were mechanical traps designed to test their reflexes and endurance. Blades, sharpened to a deadly edge, shot out from hidden compartments in the ground, slicing through the air with lethal precision. Columns of fire erupted sporadically, their searing heat forcing the werewolves to rely on their enhanced speed and agility to avoid being burned alive.

Beyond these obstacles lay a more fearsome challenge: the mutated beasts. These creatures were abominations, twisted by dark magic and biological experiments, a gift for training by Nikky herself.

They were hulking brutes with scaled hides and multiple limbs, their eyes glowed with a malevolent intelligence. Some had the ability to spew corrosive acid, while others could unleash devastating energy blasts from their mouths. These beasts were relentless, their sole purpose to test the werewolves’ combat skills and resilience.

As if these challenges were not enough, each werewolf carried a younger member of their clan on their backs, adding an extra layer of difficulty.

The younger generation clung tightly, their eyes wide with a mixture of fear and determination. This grueling training was designed to forge bonds of trust and to teach them the value of protecting their kin.

Victor’s voice rang out, commanding and authoritative. "Move swiftly and stay focused! Remember, this is not just a test of your strength but of your will to protect our future!" he waved his hand, "...Begin."

The werewolves began their ascent, muscles straining as they navigated the perilous path.

The air was filled with the sounds of their labored breathing, the scrape of claws against rock, and the occasional yelp of pain. Yet, despite the grueling nature of the obstacles, there was a palpable sense of determination among them. They knew that only by enduring these trials could they hope to stand against the greater threats that awaited them.

After all, they all knew that even though deaths have been recorded during Victor’s training, he was far more loving that the vicious demons they called their enemies.

Father Black watched from above, his expression a mix of concern and resolve.

He knew that this training was necessary, but it pained him to see his people endure such hardship. Yet, as he observed the werewolves’ tenacity and courage, he felt a glimmer of hope. With the right guidance and support, they would become the formidable soldiers he needed to defend their world.

But he could not help but shake his head, "he now understood what they meant when Clawed said that it was not going to be enough. Truly, it wasn’t.

At such a time, he heard a voice from behind him, "Regent! You came to observe our training?"

Father black looked behind. It was victor. He half smiled. he had been thinking of going down there, but victor had come up to him instead, with such speed that he had not even noticed his presence.

"Impressive. I see you are getting more accustomed to your abilities."

Victor nodded, "It was not so easy at first, but as you know, it is all thanks to big brother Lenny. Without him, I would have had no choice but to have died by my brother’s hands a long time ago."

Father Black nodded. "I see, about that, I have a request of you. I want you to leave the planet."

Victor raised a brow at him.

Father Black continued, "you are no longer required in the eighth earth. Don’t get me wrong, I am not sending you out. I am just saying that this is not enough." Father black looked at the training below. "Even the gods are not going to be so kind with us."

Victor looked below and sighed. he understood what father Black was saying, and that was why he made these obstacles in such a way that it simulated threat to life. However, no matter what he did, it was just not the same.

The same thrill and stimulus to the brain that a life and death situation provided when one was in between a rock and a hard place was not the same as these obstacles, and this was even with the death toll.

Victor knew that something was missing. However, as things were, there was only so much he could do.

He sighed again.

There was a bit of silence between them and then father black spoke up, "Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times, Good times create weak men, and Weak men create hard times."

Victor looked at him, "another saying from those old world books you like to read so much?"

Father black nodded, "right now, believe it or not, we are in good times, and if care is not taken, the plane will only fall in power as a result of the peace we, the older generation have worked hard for. This is a nightmare I never want to see."

"But there is only so much we can do about it. After all, you said so yourself. We fought so that they can have good times. All we can do is train and teach them so that they do not slack and fall. Besides, even if worse comes to worse, we still have insect-B, right?"

Father Black nodded, "we do, but to ensure that no ants become strays, Insect-B is the central nervous system. she operates it all. meaning that the ants are not capable of acting of their own accord.

And we both know that this is not going to help the evolution that comes with a life or death situation. What we truly need are new generation soldiers. Of a caliber that we can grow. An army that can protect the earth even when we are gone."

Father Black turned to him, "and this is why I said you are no longer needed on earth." He waved his hand, presenting a bracelet, "I had long thought about this and Lenny is aware of my decision. This Bracelet has the ability to temporary seal your power of the great demon rank, bringing it down to just the peak of the Deep Demon rank.

Trust me, if there was another way, I would have explored it. But most planes we have discovered out there, have very annoying bosses with relations to demon royal families.

And so we are left with the one place we are most familiar with, but can still ensure that we train the greatest warriors. When they come back, we can work on increasing their magic to the great Demon realm."

Victor looked at the bracelet and then back at Father Black, "what exactly do you have in mind?"

"I want you to go to the most dangerous land we have ever known, I want you to go to Imperilment!"

Victor’s eyes shut open.

Father Black nodded, "yes, I am aware, that was where you got your title of Alpha. That place, where you and lenny had fought for your lives."
