Chapter 1055: Qi User

Chapter 1055: Qi User

Agent X was surprised to see what was happening. After all, no matter how precise, his shots had no effect.

It was as if Seraphiel was toying with him. After all, no matter the attack, all he did was deflect it.

Agent X looked at Seraphiel properly. He was not of any Royal Bloodline that he could remember. Obviously, his rebirth had not been so kind to him, unlike himself and his grandmother that had been rebirthed in demon royal families.

Regardless of that, he was incredibly formidable.

Agent X was utterly taken aback. These guns were not mere toys; they were extensions of his Hellfire, designed to channel his demonic power into long-range attacks.

The bullets were a potent mix of his demon blood and arcane abilities, meant to explode on contact. They had been a gift from the principality he served, specifically to compensate for his Hellfire’s limited range. Yet, here was this young elf boy, Seraphiel, effortlessly deflecting the bullets without triggering their explosive potential.

A confident smirk spread across Seraphiel’s face as he observed Agent X’s surprise. He took a step forward, waving his hands in the air as if his fingers were dancing on water. "Yes, you are right! I did not touch them."

Agent X’s eyes narrowed as he tried to comprehend the situation. Seraphiel continued, his voice calm and instructive. "I use..."

"Qi!" Agent X finished the statement, realization dawning on him. The elf boy nodded approvingly.

"Qi is not darkline energy, chaos energy. It is neither magic nor negative. It is the essence of life that flows within everything that exists and has life. It is the invisible force between two atoms that keeps them together but never allows them to touch. It gives us our shape and differentiates the existences that we see." Seraphiel’s words were a lecture, but they carried an undercurrent of menace.

Agent X had heard of Qi before, but he had dismissed it as an ancient and extinct power. Rumors persisted, whispers of a forgotten group of practitioners from the Monastery of Pain and Pleasure. Could it be that Seraphiel was connected to this mythical place?

"From the Monastery of Pain and Pleasure?" Agent X asked, his voice tinged with disbelief.

Seraphiel’s eyes brightened, and a predatory smile spread across his face. "I see you have heard of my school of discipline. If you know that place, then it might be wise for you to know this: During my time, I trained under Master Lucy. The greatest, most elusive character of the Monastery. Also... the most dangerous. And in his teachings, battle is never appreciated unless it is through pain."

Before Agent X could react, Seraphiel attacked. His palm faced outward in a striking position, moving with blinding speed. The air around his hand seemed to shimmer as if it were charged with invisible energy. Agent X barely had time to register the movement before the attack was upon him.

The strike landed with a force that defied its seemingly delicate execution. Agent X felt a searing pain radiate from the point of impact, spreading through his body like wildfire. It was not just physical pain; it was as if Seraphiel’s Qi had invaded his very essence, disrupting the flow of his demonic energy.

Agent X gritted his teeth, trying to counterattack with his Hellfire. Flames erupted around him, but Seraphiel moved with an eerie grace, his every motion fluid and precise. He weaved through the inferno, his strikes landing with pinpoint accuracy. Each blow sent waves of agony through Agent X, who struggled to keep up with the relentless assault.

The air was thick with the scent of burning sulfur and the acrid tang of blood. Every impact sounded like a drumbeat, reverberating through the deserted land. Despite the chaos, Seraphiel’s movements remained calm and methodical, a stark contrast to the fury of Agent X’s Hellfire.

Agent X fought to maintain his composure, but the pain was overwhelming. It felt as though his very soul was being torn apart by Seraphiel’s Qi.

With a final, desperate effort, Agent X unleashed a torrent of Hellfire, hoping to create some distance between himself and Seraphiel. The flames roared to life, consuming everything in their path. But Seraphiel was undeterred. He stepped through the inferno, his eyes glowing with an otherworldly light.

"This is the true power of Qi," Seraphiel said, his voice barely audible over the roar of the flames. "It transcends mere physical strength or magical prowess. It is the essence of life itself, the force that binds the universe together. It is the invisible force between two atoms that keep them together but never allow them touch. It gives us our shape and differentiate the existences that we see and through it, I will teach you the meaning of pain."

Agent X could do nothing but brace himself as Seraphiel closed in, ready to deliver the final blow.

And then he immediately activated his grandmother’s ability, time slowed a bit and he barely dodged out of the way.

As a result of the mark he had absorbed, he had this ability. The rune mark in their hearts was a bloodline and soul mark given by the first deal. it was a covenant that was passed through all of them, combining all their capabilities.

It was also one of the reasons that he had grown in cultivation power when he absorbed his mother’s mark.

This wa sthe first time that he was using it. But he still managed to execute it well.

Seraphiel remained smiling. "Nice parlor trick you have there. why don’t we try it again, Great grandson and see if you are really capable of dodging even when you slow down time."

Agent X eyes were left wide open.

he had only used the move one time and this person had figured it out. meanwhile, things had been far different when he was battling his grandmother.

He only knew about it because of her laziness and terrible attitude when it came to battling....
