Chapter 1069: Athena’s Hell
Chapter 1069: Athena’s Hell
The day she fell into this world, everything from everywhere wanted a piece of her. It was not because they wanted to kill her. No, it was no such thing as that. It was not a malicious intent. It was just pure survival. like how a person would get hungry and want a plate of burger.
That was simply it. In the eyes of these devils, she was nothing. Not even sport to be played with. just food that happened to have legs, and hands, capable of fighting back. This she knew was true because of her natural ability to be able to have incredibly sharp senses.
back in the eighth earth, she did not have much power to speak of. hardship again and again, had ensured that she became a lesser demon ranked figure.
But that was it. She did not have the talent that elnny did to reach the scary heights in strength that he did in under a year.
In truth, she hated herself for it. After all, she could clearly remember the first day Lenny had been brought back then in those caves where they all served as gladiators, fighting to amuse demons.
back then, she had thought him nothing more than trash. But to see him float in the air without any wings was a big slap to her face.
And so yes, she hated her uselessness. In truth, she knew that lenny had indeed been kind to her. With the kind of attitude that she had given him time and time again, even seeing him out to the witches back then in the witch’s territory.
She had come to realize that if it was her, she would have probably the person a long time ago.
But lenny had come again and again to their rescue.
By now, she already knew the reason why he did it. It was not because he could not kill her. But because it was of no profit to him.
In other words, her existence had been so minute that that even after she had done the things that she did, Lenny had only seen it as a nuisance, like a stubborn puppy claiming it was boss within its master’s house.
This realization took her to an even lower point in her life, and she had been in very very low points.
After all, there was practically no gladiator that had suffered like she had.
And hell was a different kind of suffering.
Did she regret not taking lenny’s offer?
Yes, she definitely did. After all, she had barely spent a minute here, before little holes had becgan to appear on her skin, making it look like a bees hive.
this happened because her skin was more human than it was of her demon origin. the chaos magic in this place wa sthe purest in the universe, and it bore through her skin.
She had immediately made a pact with one of the nether eggs that she had brought along with her, the little magic tricks that she had learnt from minnie playing a significant role in her survival, if not, even her could tell that she would have died.
She made two deals. One for a nether beast that formed an octopus looking small nether beast which she placed around her nose to aid breathing, and the second, she had, a coat to cover her entire body. Not in defense of the devils, but in defense of the whether.
Unfortunately for her, she was not strong enough to have more deals, if not, she would have done so. She just had not cultivated enough negative magic for such a thing.
Also, this place seemed to be the bane of it, constantly draining her.
She was injured back on earth, breaking a leg and her side, torn so deep that rips showed slightly.
And then being sucked into this place added extra layers to her injury.
But she had to endure. luckily for her, the devils were too much in a chaos having being plunged back into hell and she was allowed the relief of managing to escape the place.
But it was not long before the chase began.
Securing her life had been a priority. After all, this was not a devil dungeon. It was literally a devil world.
She could never stay in one place for too long.
Luckily for her, the higher devils were too interested in wars with one another for territory, or pleasing an even more superior devil, if not, she would have long been dead.
However, there was one devil that took a kin interest to her after sniffing her blood she had accidentally left on a rock when she had checked her wound.
Now, this devil, was a monumental pain in her behind.
And on one occasion, managed to get to her. That day, she thought that she was going to die, but that Devil had been a very very sick fellow.
All it did was to take an eye, plucking it right from her sockets to eat it slowly, crunch and enjoy chewing it before her eyes as part of its mucus and saliva from enjoying its meal fell on her body.
The worse part was that she could not even scream or groan out her pain for fear that she would invite more of them, and more of them meant she was dinner.
After taking her eye, the devil, having six inverted eyes had actually chuckled lowly, obviously enjoying its meal. And then it let her go.
She bled from her eye socket but in this world, she could not even let such blood go to waste, grabbing as much as she could with her arms and stuffing it into her mouth as food.
After all, blood was a well known supplement for nutrition and she was lacking in it. The little she had could not be wasted.
The devil then let her go, as if saying that it wanted her to struggle some more and was not yet entertained enough.
