Chapter 1129: Result Of One Change

Chapter 1129: Result Of One Change

The portal in Father Black’s office shimmered as it opened, casting a pale, flickering light across the room.

Technology had advanced and so had the people that pushed it. Portals across planes no longer needed big, wide podiums. Now, miniature portals could be set anywhere as it was wished.

A figure stepped through—a tall, broad-shouldered man with a commanding presence. His features were mature, carved by experience and time, yet there was a vitality in him that belied his years.

This was Victor, the werewolf who had left for Imperilment years ago.

Time moved differently in that plane, and though it had been mere years on Earth, 200 years had passed in Imperilment. The weight of those years was in his eyes, but his body remained youthful, preserved by the immense power sealed within him that ensured the plane could contain his supernatural strength.

As Victor breathed in the familiar air of Earth, his chest rose and fell, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Father Black rose from his seat, his dark eyes gleaming with warmth as he stepped forward. With arms wide open, he embraced Victor in a familial gesture.

"We have missed you here at home," Father Black said, his voice rich and deep with emotion. After all, for the sake of peace and the bigger picture, he had sent Victor to spend his ripe years in a devastating world.

Victor returned the embrace firmly, his own smile broadening. In this place, there was a familiarity in the air, a sense of belonging that even his new life in Imperilment could never offer.

As he pulled back, his gaze fell on Clawed, who stood nearby—his sharp, demonic features softened by a rare moment of vulnerability. Without hesitation, Victor leaped into a hug, surprising Clawed.

Two hundred years... and yet the bond between them had only grown stronger.

Victor’s laugh was short, but it echoed with the joy of reunion. Father Black, sensing the depth of the moment, gestured for Victor to take a seat.

The Victor settled in, feeling the smooth leather beneath him. It was a comforting contrast to the harsh, unyielding landscapes of Imperilment.

"How are things in Imperilment?" Father Black asked, his voice betraying curiosity. His eyes held an intensity, a sharpness that only a man in control of secrets could possess.

Victor nodded, leaning back, his gaze distant for a moment. "It’s good. We have trained for a long time, and established network cells across the myraid planes and even primary planes like the Underworld. We have a far reach and her only growing. Acting as the shadow to the Lenny empire, just as intended. " he spoke, though his voice was tinged with a hint of melancholy. "But it’s... lonely."

Father Black’s expression softened. He understood what Victor meant. "I’m sorry for Allison," he said quietly, referring to Victor’s mate. "She wasn’t as strong as you."

Victor bowed his head slightly. The ache was still there, but it was a settled pain. "She lived a full life, Father Black. Ripe with years. I was with her through it all. She wasn’t meant to endure as I was, but we had a lifetime together."

There was a solemn peace in his voice, a fulfillment that hung between the words. Allison had lived till old age, and passed away. Unfortunately, her cultivation talent was not so much, and she was touched to be one of the Lenny family.

Victor reached up to his chest, unbuttoning his shirt slowly. The air felt heavier as he pulled out a tightly bound scroll, its parchment worn but still intact.

"I had to bring this one myself," Victor said, holding the scroll out. His expression was serious now, eyes meeting Father Black’s with a deep intensity. "It’s too important to trust to anyone else."

Father Black accepted the scroll, his brow furrowing as he carefully unrolled it. His eyes moved quickly, scanning the contents. For a moment, the room was filled with nothing but the quiet crackle of the hearth nearby and the rustling of the scroll. Then, suddenly, his expression shifted—his eyes widened with surprise, though a smile slowly tugged at his lips.

He glanced up at Victor, his smile widening into something far more calculating. "Are you sure about this?"

Victor nodded, his voice steady. "It was my granddaughter, Allison. The possible future alpha of my clan. She uncovered this from the underworld herself. She’s—" he hesitated, a soft glint of pride in his eyes, "—a stunning resemblance to her grandmother."

Father Black’s smile grew darker. He set the scroll aside, his fingers drumming lightly on the arm of his chair. "Then we had better prepare for war."

Victor’s eyes narrowed slightly, confusion flickering across his features. "War? With the demons?"

Father Black shook his head slowly, a dangerous gleam in his eyes. "No, Victor. The war isn’t with the demons."

He leaned forward, his voice a low rumble that seemed to vibrate in the air, each word carrying the weight of what was to come.

"The war is with the gods. The very same ones who now rule the land."

"But i thought we are on good terms with them."

"We should be, but not with this kind of threat." Father Black stated as he handed Clawed the paper.

The Demon looked through it and sighed. "Its true, their fear will not want the Earth to fall into the hands of the Demons. Besides, they have probably been looking for an excuse for a long time to do this."

Father Black chuckled, "what do you mean? We too have been looking for an opportunity like this. After all, it is the true reason we sent Perseus And Crusher to their mountain. Now, all we have to do is wait. Wait for them to make the first move."

........

While this happened, something else also happened amongst the principalities and powers that ruled the different primary planes in the place of their Primordial Demons.

After all, they could feel the threat of their existence.

......

At the same time, the person that had caused all of this, Lilith, was about to meet the most dangerous entity since the dawn of creation. She was about to meet Death...
