Chapter 1160: Lucifer’s Grand Plan

Chapter 1160: Lucifer’s Grand Plan

Lenny listened intently to the soft exchange between Adam and the serpent, the tranquil sounds of the garden filling the air. Adam’s voice was gentle, almost reverent, as he spoke of the new gift he had received.

"It is time I pick one. The One above all has blessed me with another. He called her woman, that I may have a companion that is of my kind, bones of my bones and flesh of my flesh," Adam said, his voice full of innocent joy.

But the serpent, coiled near Adam, hissed softly in protest. "You do not need anyone else, Adam. You have me. I have loved you for all eternity," the serpent whispered, its words laced with something deeper, more possessive.

Adam chuckled lightly at the serpent’s words, his eyes carrying the innocence of a being unburdened by sin or malice. He stroked the snake’s shimmering scales, his touch light and playful.

"I will always love you, my friend," Adam said, his smile untainted by suspicion. "There is no one else like you, and I shall never forget you."

To Adam, it was a love of brotherhood, pure and blameless. But the serpent felt something far deeper. Its affection for Adam was not that of a brother, but of a companion, yearning for something more intimate. The serpent’s coils tightened slightly as it brushed its cool, smooth skin against Adam, an act of affection and longing.

"If anything were to come between us," the serpent hissed, its voice carrying a hint of menace, "I would ensure it knew death."

Adam laughed, the sound light and carefree. "Death? What strange dreams you have, my friend," he said, shaking his head. "There is no such thing as death."

Such was the purity of Adam’s innocence. The idea of death, of separation, was foreign to him, a concept that didn’t exist in his perfect world. To him, the serpent’s words were nothing more than playful banter, a thought too absurd to take seriously.

But the serpent’s words were far from innocent. The creature’s love for Adam was tainted by possessiveness, a darkness creeping into the edges of its affection. The serpent had seen the future, had felt the cold sting of loss before it had ever occurred. And as it tightened around Adam, it silently vowed to protect the one it loved, no matter the cost.

Lenny watched this unfold, his heart heavy with the knowledge of what was to come. He could see the seeds of despair being planted in the serpent’s heart, the beginnings of the fall. The serpent’s love, twisted by fear and desperation, would soon become the catalyst for the downfall of mankind.

And then the scene shifted again.

Lenny found himself watching the serpent alone, writhing in the throes of a nightmare. Its body twisted and coiled as though trying to escape some unseen terror. The air around it seemed to tremble with the weight of its distress.

Lenny watching this turned to lucifer beside him, "You saw his death in your dream?"

Lucifer nodded stating that he was the Morningstar and the gift of foresight that even the Sisters if fate used was once his own. And then he stated how afraid he had been at the time at the revelation of the dream, and how that had pushed his desperation. After all, in the dream, he had seen Eve, feed Adam with death.

Lucifer’s gaze darkened as he revealed more to Lenny. "I saw it long before it happened...once before," he began, his voice filled with a sorrow so deep that it seemed to ripple through the fabric of the garden around them. "The fall of Adam, at the hands of the sisters of Eve. I knew what was to come, and I knew that nothing could stop it. I devised my plan… a desperate attempt to alienate them from the Garden of Eden, to keep Adam from his fate... It worked the first and i assumed it would again... my mistake it was. One that cost me, my one TRUE LOVE."

The scene around them shifted, and Lenny watched as Lucifer, in his serpent form, slithered through the garden with a purpose, his eyes gleaming with the weight of his knowledge. "I believed," Lucifer continued, "that no one could keep Adam safe but me. I had watched over him since his creation, and in time, that duty had become an obsession. I loved him too much to let him go… but I did not love him as he loved others."

The air grew heavy with tension as Lenny saw Eve approach the tree—the Tree of Life and Death. Her hand trembled as it reached for the fruit, the dark light swirling on its surface. Lucifer, coiled beside her, whispered promises of knowledge, of wisdom, of freedom. And Eve, with a flicker of hesitation, plucked the fruit and took a bite.

Lucifer’s voice hardened as he recounted the moment. "I was aware that she would die. It was inevitable, and in my heart, I found satisfaction. But then Adam arrived."

The scene shifted again, and Lenny saw Adam approach, his eyes wide with fear and confusion. Eve, now aware of the gravity of her actions, fell to the ground in tears. "I have sinned," she cried, her voice trembling with guilt. "I will suffer the same fate as my sisters before me."

Adam knelt before her, his face twisted with concern, love, and a determination Lenny had not expected. Lucifer’s voice grew bitter as he continued. "Adam knew the One Above All would soon arrive, that Eve’s fate was sealed. But… he had begun to love her. Somewhere along the way, she had captured his heart."

Lenny watched in silence as Adam cupped Eve’s tear-streaked face in his hands, his touch tender despite the weight of her sin. He took her hand and, without hesitation, bit into the fruit she held. "Flesh of my flesh," Adam whispered, his voice breaking. "I die with the love of your embrace."

Lucifer’s tone was cold as he revealed the truth that had haunted him for eternity. "The stories say that Eve gave her husband the fruit, but the truth is, Adam chose death for the sake of his love for her. He willingly embraced the end, for her."

The serpent’s coils tightened in the vision, its form bristling with rage and heartbreak. "And that," Lucifer hissed, "was what broke me. Not the sin, not the fall, but that Adam… chose her. He picked her over me."

Lenny felt the weight of Lucifer’s grief, the unspoken desire and love that the Morningstar had harbored for Adam, and the crushing reality that Adam had chosen another. It was a pain that Lucifer could not bear, and it had shaped his fate as much as Adam’s.

The scene shifted once again. Lenny watched as Adam and Eve, now fallen and mortal, walked hand in hand out of the Garden of Eden, their bodies trembling with the weight of their choice. Behind them, Lucifer stood in the shadows, silent and unseen, but not unmoved. Tears of blood—dark, thick, and glistening—slipped from his eyes. Even the eyes on each of his wings, those glorious golden feathers that carried entire nebulas within, wept red, staining the once-perfect image of the Morningstar.

This pain—this unbearable, suffocating feeling of loss—was unlike anything he had ever felt. Not even his casting from Heaven compared to the agony that now tore through his being. He had been created perfect, yet the imperfection of this anguish gnawed at his soul like a festering wound. He hated it. He needed it to end.

As Lucifer continued his tale, Lenny felt a sudden stillness overcome him. He had been enraptured by the story, but now... something wasn’t right. His hand instinctively moved to his chest, where a coldness had begun to spread, creeping through his veins like an icy fog. He turned to Lucifer, confusion etched on his face.

"Why... why do I feel it?" Lenny’s voice trembled. "So cold, so alone... Your loneliness, bred for thousands of years. It’s... overwhelming." His knees buckled beneath him, and he collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath.

But there was more. As the coldness consumed him, flashes of images—scenes—began to bombard his mind. They were not his memories, but Lucifer’s. Lenny saw Adam, refusing to submit to the Morningstar’s twisted desires. He saw Lucifer’s attempts to bend Adam to his will, to make him his, but Adam’s love for Eve had been unshakable. The serpent’s seduction had not only been a temptation of knowledge but also an attempt to possess Adam in a way that was never meant to be.

Lenny’s eyes snapped open, his face contorting in pain as he clutched his head. "These memories… they’re not mine. They’re yours! This...is the truth!" He groaned, the agony of the revelation nearly breaking him. The weight of Lucifer’s deception hung heavy in the air, and Lenny’s mind reeled.

He turned, fury igniting in his eyes as he stared at Lucifer. "What are you doing?" Lenny’s voice was sharp with accusation, but laced with fear.

Lucifer smiled then, a grin that twisted his otherwise perfect features into something grotesque, something monstrous. The beauty of the Morningstar was gone in that moment, replaced by a sadistic pleasure that seeped from his very being. It was an ugliness that no angel should carry, yet it fit him so well now.

"I am ...taking... you, Lenny." His voice was smooth, chilling. "Your body… it’s mine. After all, all your life, i have groomed you for this moment, to HAVE YOU SON... to become you."
