Chapter 1176: To Find A Hidden City

The pain was unimaginable for Perseus. the move he had used was a very risky one. But that was all he could do. After all, the only magic that was truly effective against Angels was Holy power.

But the Lenny family had suffered their connection with their lost king. Fortunately, the bond with Demeter the eighth earth was not a blood bond but a soul bond. If not, they would have also lost their royal status.

However, When lenny died back then, they had all felt it. The sting was not not just in their flesh but their entire being.

And yet, strange enough, many years later, they could feel him again. Deep within their hearts, they could feel their bond to their king.

Victor and Perseus were not locked in the Eighth earth. This was of course a part of Father black’s plan.

He knew that one day, the Odin sleep around the earth will fall, and when it did, he did not want his people to be like a new baby entering an unfamiliar world that only wanted to prey on them.

Of Course, Victor was plenty enough to handle things outside. But father Black had long understood that he was lonely. having a comrade that had one’s back was good. Their bond as members of the family made them even stronger together.

These last many years had not at all been easy. the adversities that they had to face was anything but easy. In fact Perseus had been at the point of death so often that he too had began to recognize the feel of the mistresses fingers around his heart.

Friends had been made along the way, some stayed, and some others had become enemies. While some enemies had similarly become allies.

The Pain Perseus felt was like being boiled alive, but his skin never muting to the pain, always healing to repeat the same process, again and again.

This went on for over two weeks.

This was not his first rodeo, but everytime felt like it was. He was strong, but the pain that came with the sacrifice he had made was so intense that victor locked him in a sound proof room for two weeks. The underlings should not see their lord scream in such maddening pain.

What victor had done was to pass some of the holy power in his body into Perseus, in other to supplement the vast amount he had used so that he did not die.

However, Victor was still a werewolf and Perseus’s body would have to filter through the energy on its own. This was a gruesome process, as it was his only way of surviving, else, he fell into slumber for at least a few years.

The days passed eventually, and a knock on the door, prompted Victor to open it. Within was Perseus looking like he had been through hell and back. However, through his roughness, and bags under his eyes for lack of rest, he had a bold grin on his face.

Victor nodded to him, throwing him a towel before he turned about, "I’m still waiting for your briefing."

Perseus sighed as he took the towel. He first went to freshen up a bit and then he made his way to the dinning table.

This place was an isolated space deep within the largest Volcano of imperilment.

On the wall was a huge portrait of Allison in her old age. Victor stood before it. He had a glass of wine in hand, as his eyes lingered on missing his only love.

Perseus stepped in, "You know, if she had stated behind in Demeter, she would have still been here."

Victor nodded, "I am aware of that. But she..." his voice lingered with emotion as he smiled, "....she lived a full life with me, and thats enough."

Perseus nodded as he took his seat on the table that had been set with food.

it had been many years, but Perseus was still a gladiator at heart, and his manners at the table had barely improved, stuffing food into his mouth like a wild pig.

Victor did not interrupt him. he was long used to this sight by now.

"The Pups told me that you encountered the fallen. Not ONE, but three!"

Perseus nodded through the food. "They must be getting desperate. Our King wounded Purgatory badly. And Lucifer needs it because its a primary plane. He wants to lord it and become its king so that he can get the benefit power boost of kinging a primary plane."

Victor nodded, "Yes. Purgatory is not like the earths. it is in the higher realm. The gain that it would give would be incredible. its a good thing that the Morningstar can’t leave it, at least not after what Big brother lenny did to it. All he can do for now is send in his lankies to do his dirty work for him."

Perseus sighed. He dropped the roasted mutated meat in his hand as he looked up to the sky.

"What!? You done already?" Victor asked in obvious surprise. after all, Perseus had a mountain of an appetite.

"No... I just cant stop thinking about that day."

Victor sighed too.

On the day that Lenny died, he had barely managed to send a message to his family members through the Satan system. It was an order. An order for them to stop the Morningstar at whatever the cost, else the known universe as they knew it would be totally and utterly destroyed.

In that message, lenny had revealed a significant amount of information about the angels, and even about himself and his connection to the Morningstar.

For almost a hundred years now, they had been carrying out that order. But it had not been easy.

"The Great Demon spoke of a city of High Elves having treasure that we can use. We need to find it first before the fallen do." Victor stated, his eyes still on the meat his teeth sang in.

"Yes, I am aware. As things are, we are lacking behind when it comes to the kind of power that the Morningstar can summon. At least with the treasures we have gathered, we might have a chance."

"I wonder if we would." Perseus shook his head. "The Demon spoke of the seven forbidden treasure, and that Lucifer already has one. against the seven forbidden treasures, can the treasures we have gathered actually work?"

At such a time, a feminine voice was heard, "Do not underrestimate the power of the treasures that have been gathered."

Perseus raised his head to see the giant figure of Vandora swimming outside the enclosed space....
