Chapter 956: A Different kind of Devil Dungeon
Chapter 956: A Different kind of Devil Dungeon
Devil Dungeons were a very unique occurance in the world.
Maybe it was the nature of devils, or it was the morningstar in his ever enlightenment as he set the criteria for their kind.
Devils were made to be the bane of Demons and as such, were responsible for the maintainace of peace between the Royal demon families, occupying a royal position themselves.
However, that was only on the condition that their ruler was still alive. Without the control of the power of the morningstar himself, Devils were plain beings of chaos.
But even in this annoying chaotic state, capable of perverting the world around them with their chaos magic, they were still able to carve for themselves a unique eco system that functioned based on power level supported by even the cosmic laws.
Supported so much that those demons of a higher power level could not enter the domain of the highest devil within the Dungeon.
Meaning that those of lower demon ranks could enter, but since Chaos magic corrupted their power, then they were bound to fail within the dungeons.
This meant that devils were parasites on planes, slowly devouring the planes with no choice but for the plane to be devoured if its inhabitants were in capable of conquering the dungeons.
This was also a way to destroy the weaklings of the universe. At least this was the rumor that a lot of people carried with them.
Then again, Strength was a very relative thing. After all, the universe would never give one more than they could chew. It was a foundational rule of the world.
All one had to do was to believe, and push with all one’s might.
After all, with great danger came great benefits. the devil Dungeons provided those that gave their all and strived for success.
Of course, that was if they did not die in their endeavor.
Indeed devil dungeons were a very contradicting place. At least that was what the current Lenny thought them to be. Then again, he was about right.
Nevertheless, he had no choice but to face one.
The moment he woke up from his slumber, Kanada had informed him of a lot of things. Firstly, was that she had placed seals on his soul. this would greatly hinder his movements in the After truth, but he had to deal with it as those seals held back the poison from consuming him.
She told him he had to increase his soul power to level and simultaneously increase his physical power. one was going to ensure that his soul level became strong enough to settle well as a yellow Soul, and the second one was going to ensure that he increased his cultivation level, thereby increasing the purity of his holy power in other to fight off the poison of the Jin in his soul and eventually get rid of it.
This was something she informed him that no one could help him do and that he needed to do it alone.
Of course, the current Lenny was starting to understand that violence was a part of his life, but when he had gotten the diamond fruit from Kanada, he had thought that he would no longer need to visit the Devil Dungeon.
Even though he had indeed done incredibly well the last time, it was still a haunting moment in his head.
However, sometimes, fate could not be avoided no matter what, or maybe the universe just wanted him to enter this place.
Lenny did not know that this plane was not his first time in a Devil dungeon.
According to what Kanada said to Lenny, they were different kind of devil dungeons, which firstly depended on the kind of plane and then the level of power of the Plane, and also the kind of benefits that the plane could produce.
For this plane that was greatly connected with the ethereal, most dungeons had Soul Devils. weighing a lot of issues, including the amount of level that this devil dungeon had, Kanada concluded that this dungeon will be best for him.
As Cena escorted Lenny to the mouth of the Devil Dungeon, lenny felt as if they had entered a realm steeped in darkness and decay, where the very air seemed to thicken with a noxious stench that clawed at the senses.
The cave yawned wide before them, its yawning maw beckoning like the gaping jaws of some ancient beast, eager to devour all who dared to venture within.
A palpable sense of dread hung heavy in the air, suffused with the hollow echoes of unseen horrors lurking in the shadows.
From the depths of the cavernous abyss, eerie sounds reverberated with a sinister resonance—a cacophony of moans and whispers that spoke of untold suffering and despair.
Each hollow echo seemed to carry the promise of death, a chilling reminder of the imminent peril that lurked within the confines of this desolate domain.
Indeed Lenny had thought that he would hate venturing into this place, after all, it was heavily disgusting to say the least. However, the familiarity of the environment was fish finally allowed to go into water.
It was indeed a very weird feeling but such was the situation that he found himself in.
As they ventured deeper into the heart of the cave, the barren landscape stretched out before them like a desolate wasteland devoid of life. Not a single blade of grass nor the whisper of a breeze disturbed the oppressive stillness that hung like a shroud over the desolate expanse.
Here, amidst the suffocating gloom, even the most resilient of life forms withered and died, unable to withstand the suffocating grip of malevolence that permeated every crevice and corner.
Then again, Chaos magic was never known to ever support life unless it was one perverted of any thing good.
From the shadows, twisted forms lurked with malicious intent, their sinister silhouettes casting long, ominous shadows upon the barren walls of the cavern.
These denizens of darkness waited with bated breath, their eyes gleaming with a hunger that mirrored the insatiable thirst for destruction that consumed their very essence. And as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting the world into a shroud of darkness, they would emerge from their lairs like ravenous predators, eager to unleash chaos and carnage upon the unsuspecting world beyond.
In this both foreign and yet familiar realm of sure doom, where the very fabric of reality seemed to fray at the edges, Cena and Lenny stood on the precipice of oblivion, their every step fraught with peril and uncertainty.
As the ethereal forms of twisted devils emerged from the shadows, their grotesque visages contorted with malice and malevolence, Cena brought her advance to an abrupt halt.
With a solemn expression etched upon her features, she turned to face Lenny, her gaze piercing through the darkness with an intensity that belied the gravity of the situation.
"This is the furthest I can go with you," she declared, her voice tinged with a mixture of determination and resignation. "This fight, you have to do alone."
With a graceful gesture, she extended her hand, releasing a small blade that glinted faintly in the dim light of the cavern. "You might need that," she added, her tone tinged with a note of urgency as she imparted the weapon to him.
Lenny accepted the blade with a sense of trepidation, its weight heavy in his grasp as he surveyed the twisted devils that loomed ominously before him. He listened intently as Cena spoke, her words carrying a weight that transcended mere reassurance.
"You were able to get our youngest lady to owe you a favor," she continued, her voice soft yet resolute. "Even though I do not know how, I know Domani. She is not easy to deal with. It must have been very troublesome. Therefore, I believe you can do this. Please, I beg of you. Prove me right. We are too many having faith in you."
With those final words, Cena stepped back, her form enveloped by a shimmering portal that materialized before her. As she vanished from sight, leaving Lenny to face the encroaching horde of devils alone, a surge of confidence coursed through him, steeling his resolve for the battle that lay ahead.
With a deep breath, he squared his shoulders and gripped the soul blessed blade tightly in his hand, its presence imbuing him with a sense of purpose and strength.
As the devils closed in, their twisted forms writhing with unnatural malice, Lenny knew that if he messed up here and now, then his life was over.
With a defiant roar, he charged forward to meet his fate, his heart aflame with the fervent hope that he would emerge victorious against the forces of evil that threatened to consume him.
And as the clash of steel and the cries of battle echoed through the cavernous depths of the Devil Dungeon, Lenny embraced the oncoming bloodshed with a courage born of desperation and determination, ready to face the horrors that awaited him in these shadows.
At least, that was what he thought. After all, he had done it before. he swung his blade, left and right, but lenny did not know how mistaken he had been.
this dungeon though still a devil Dungeon filled with soul Devils, was not like the one he had faced with Cain and the Rebels.
On lenny’s first Clash, he was smacked so hard that he literally felt three of the fate binds in his soul instantly break.
Blood rushed out his mouth as he smashed hard into the cave wall...
