Chapter 959: Semi-Arcane Domain
Chapter 959: Semi-Arcane Domain
"Stop It! Both of you!" Another Devil spoke up! "You all know the rules, first to get him can eat him. There will be no exceptions and no interference. After all, if we can eat such quality meat touched by a divine being, we will finally be able to leave this dungeon as we always wanted to. Besides, all of us here have evolved enough.
If we can go back to hell, then there is a great chance that we will at least have the post of commanders in the unholy army."
All the Devils looked at one another, and then they nodded at each other in agreement.
They jumped into the hole Lenny had created in the ground and followed after him.
Each one of them activated their techniques as they pursued him.
The minions, hundreds of them, followed after into the hole.
A good while after they had gone and the dust had settled, Lenny appeared.
Like a chameleon, his form materialized as he landed on the ground.
What had happened was simple, really. When he had smacked the ground as hard as he did with Earthen lightning and white flames, Lenny had opted to hide above their heads, attaching himself like a spider to the walls.
He shut off his aura and presence and morphed his skin to look like that of the environment.
Of course, for this to work, he had to add a little spice to the trick, so he shot out a bit of blood with a strong aura sense into the hole.
This way, they were convinced that he had gone into the hole.
Lenny, in the Will state, had maximized his chances of survival.
He even managed to have flashbacks of his time in his former world when he was an assassin.
After all, the ability of an assassin to hide their presence was a world-renowned skill that each assassin possessed.
They were gone, and so were their minions.
By now, Lenny had changed his mind. There was no way he was going to face these monsters.
At the moment, they were hunting him.
He planned to return to the pig market.
It was either Kanada helped him find a way to increase his soul level or help him with a more easier-to-handle dungeon.
Thanks to the skill, Berserker, his muscles had tightened up a lot and helped him fix the dislocated bone on his leg.
However, it is going to be a while longer before he fully heals.
But that was something to worry about another time.
Lenny pulled himself along the way towards the exit he had come from.
He had gone a fair distance when he heard a voice.
It was not so hoarse, but at the same time, one could hear the years of experience and violence in the echo it produced. "There you are!"
A sharp chill ran down Lenny’s spine as he jumped a fair distance.
This was a devil, but like the other one, the she-devil that had attacked him, it was capable of intelligence.
This one, however, did not look like a person.
Indeed, it was shapeless, changing firm as it saw fit.
One minute, it was in the shape of a horse, and the next, it was adopting the shape of a pillar or something else, never remaining the same shape for more than three seconds.
The only thing that was obvious and constant amongst all of them was the fact that the transformations all had many inverted eyes.
"Oh! You are indeed a sneaky one." The devil commented sincerely. "The only reason I was even able to find you now is because I decided it was overkill for all five of us yo pursue such a little prey.
Who could have thought that my luck would be so bright. Hehehe! It would seem that being the slowest sometimes has its advantages."
Lenny, on the other hand, backed off again and again.
After the outburst he had, he had quickly turned off Berserker and Will. After all, both skills consumed too much energy, magic and even cosmic energy.
This way, he could safe some in case of emergency.
Luckily, he had made the right choice.
The Devil Boss before him claimed to have been the slowest, but Lenny could still feel incredible threat from its body.
Just then, Lenny activated both Will and Berserker again. This time around, he would give it his all at escaping.
However, the devil suddenly opened its mouth.
"Semi-Arcane Skill DOMAIN!"
And then, abruptly, it happened. The entire dark and gloomy environment changed.
The cave structure was all gone and then all that remained was the sky.
It was bright and a bit cloudy here and there. The sun shone in the sky and on the earth were trees and grasses.
However, there was one peculiar thing about the sun. It was not round. Instead, it was the numerical figure ’3’, a giant three giving off heat and light.
It was indeed a beautiful sight to behold. However, Lenny’s dread had not disappeared one bit.
In fact, the unsubtle feeling only rose.
And then he looked to his side, a crystal flower that had bloomed, suddenly winked at him, revealing an inverted eye.
Lenny leaped backwards, using the knife Cena had given him before his chest.
However, that move shook his insides and he coughed up some more blood. This time around, it came out with some purple liquid.
Once again, the purple flames of the Jin was at work.
"Oh! You are wounded. Both within your soul and physically. Hmmm!" The devil’s voice sounded all about him, lamenting Lenny’s current state.
"Not good! Not good!! Not good!!! Bad taste.... Dont worry, I’ll fix you up."
The moment he said these words, the sun in the sky changed shape, becoming a ’2’ and then, ’1’.
All of a sudden, the pain, was all gone, his lost energy, all restored, but the truly amazing part was the fact that his soul, although still alternating between a green soul and a yellow Soul, it was all healed.
Just as one would guess, this meant that Lenny had suddenly recovered all his lost memories.
For a moment, his hyperventilating suddenly stopped. The fear was all gone.
Lenny looked at his hands, and then his surroundings.
"I... I remember it all. What did you do?" Lenny asked with a frown.
It was not that he was angry at such a thing. After all, getting himself back was the goal.
However, how terrifyingly strong did this devil have to be for it to be able to interfere with his soul.
"Nothing! This is my Semi-Arcane. I brought you here so that my siblings won’t hear of our battle and rush over... I want to eat you all by myself and at your best."
Lenny raised a brow. "Semi-Arcane!?" He thought to himself.
He had prepared extensively before setting off for his adventure towards purgatory to get the codex.
Naturally, he had also read on the different realms of power ahead of his own.
After the Great Demon Realm was the Greater Demon Realm. And after that was the Arcane realm.
The Arcane realm was seen as the foundation for bending the laws of the universe.
It was for this reason that it was referred to as the Arcane.
At the Arcane realm, it was said that one could even build a subplane if one had good connections to the laws that made up the universe.
Since the Arcane realm and the laws it carried constituted the foundations of universal laws of creation and Destruction, the Dempn royal families ensured to pass a wisp of these laws into their bloodline so that they could produce superior offsprings and therefore superior fighting ability for the families.
After all, the use of laws was a level of profoundness encapsulating the bending and molding of runes.
This was why, the Asmodeus family looked down on Cuban for not being able to use Arcane pillars.
It meant that he did not have talent for true creation and destruction on a universal scale.
Using the Arcane on the bloodline helped to skip the rigorous process needed for one to understand the complexities of Runes and how they interconnected with one another to form laws and as such, the known universe.
Although Greater Demon Realm was not the realm were one would be able create subplanes, the possibility of a domain was possible.
An isolated world within a known world.
However, this was not like the known subplanes Lenny was familiar with in the eighth earth.
This world, a domain, a temporary space with its own rules according to what was preordainedly seen fit by its ruler.
Domains usually were short lived. Once laws for a domain were set, they could not be changed.
According to what Lenny had read, Domains could only hold out for a second.
But this was a second in the real world. Within the domain itself, time was relative to the preordained laws set by its creator.
To conquer a domain was to conquer its laws.
This was the reason why in this domain, Lenny jad recovered his memories.
In here, all began Whole...But will it stay that way forever?
The sun made another count down...3, 2, 1...
"Ahhh!"
