Chapter 150: Arrived

Chapter 150: Arrived

Reeva, still perched on the pillar, kept his eyes on both Hilda and the bride. He could see it—Hilda was nearing the edge of control. Her body had elongated into something barely recognizable, a hulking figure with skin cracked and red from the overexertion of her mystic force. Blood continued to stream from every pore, flooding the room with her anguish.

If this keeps going, Hilda might lose herself completely…

But that wasn’t a concern he could afford right now. The bride was their immediate threat. She needed to be put down before she regained any ground. Reeva knew he had to act fast.

The bride, now cornered and bound, was no longer in control of the situation. Her eyes, which had once burned with cold fury, were now wide with fear as she realized that Hilda’s power was something even the void couldn’t fully counter.

Reeva leaped from the pillar again, this time aiming to land near the bride. He needed to close the distance and finish this while Hilda still had the upper hand. His demon-clawed hand extended, preparing to strike down the weakened bride in one decisive blow.

But just as he closed in, the bride’s hand shot up, trembling but defiant. Her face contorted in agony, but she wasn’t done yet. With a final burst of mystic energy, she screamed.

"I’ll… take you with me!"

The ground shook, and a surge of white mystic energy erupted from the bride’s body, colliding with Hilda’s blood tendrils. For a brief moment, the air was filled with an intense clash of powers—white and red swirling together in a violent storm.

Reeva had seconds to react.

Hilda had the white demon cornered, her blood tendrils wrapping tighter around the bride with each second, pulling the life from her. It was almost over. The bride’s face twisted in a grotesque mix of agony and disbelief, her strength draining rapidly as Hilda’s power overwhelmed her.

Reeva, ready to strike, watched as Hilda inched closer to victory. The white demon’s struggles were growing weaker, her once menacing form now shaking as her mystic energy began to falter under the relentless blood assault. Hilda’s crimson power, seemingly unstoppable, surged forward like a living, breathing entity, fed by her agony and rage.

It was only a matter of moments before the bride would be consumed entirely.

But just as the final blow was about to land, a sharp, blinding light cut through the room.

"Enough!"

The voice boomed, full of authority, as if the heavens themselves had spoken. Reeva’s eyes snapped to the source of the light. Standing at the entrance of the shattered hall was a man in flowing white robes, his presence almost otherworldly. He raised a gleaming staff high, the emblem of the Church engraved at its head, glowing with mystic energy. A priest.

No, a group of priests arrives inside the blood-filled room.

With one swift motion, the priest brought the staff down, and a wave of golden light burst from it, cutting through Hilda’s blood tendrils like a knife through butter. The blood hissed and evaporated wherever the light touched it, retreating in an instant. The bride, moments away from her doom, gasped as the crushing force around her dissipated.

Reeva’s heart dropped.

"No!" he growled, leaping toward the priest, but it was too late. The group of priests raised their staff again, chanting words in an ancient tongue, his voice calm and unwavering. The light spread across the battlefield, and with each word, the blood that Hilda had so violently summoned began to vanish, dissolving into nothingness as if it had never existed.

The room, once bathed in red, was now being cleansed, and the tendrils that had ensnared the bride evaporated into thin air.

Hilda let out a scream, not just of pain, but of frustration. Her demonic form twitched and convulsed as the mystic light bore down on her. Her power, once untamable and fierce, was now fading under the priest’s holy light. She staggered backward, trying to resist, but the spell was too strong. Her blood attacks weakened, her control slipping with every passing second.

The priest’s eyes were cold, focused on Hilda as though she were nothing more than a cursed being to be purged. He said nothing to Reeva or the bride, his mission was clear. His sole objective was to neutralize the demonic threat in the room.

"She’s out of control. You will do no more harm here, demon," he said, his voice calm yet commanding.

Reeva, now standing between the priest and Hilda, gritted his teeth. The situation had shifted—Hilda was being pushed back, and the bride had a chance to recover. He couldn’t allow the priest to destroy Hilda, but he also couldn’t let the bride regain her strength.

The bride, freed from the blood’s grip, took several deep breaths, her face pale and her body trembling. But even in her weakened state, a smirk appeared on her lips.

"I knew… someone would come to save me," she whispered, her voice ragged. However, a smile could be seen plaster all over her face. However her voice is perfectly small and full of worry, playing the part of a victim in this chaotic time.

Reeva glared at her. She was still dangerous, but now they had a new problem. The Church’s intervention had changed everything.

"Priest!" Reeva called out, his voice harsh. "You’re helping the wrong side. She’s the true threat, not Hilda!"

The priest didn’t even glance at him. His focus was entirely on Hilda, preparing for a final incantation to cleanse the room.

Reeva clenched his fists, the demonic energy within him boiling to the surface. He had to act. The bride was regaining her strength, Hilda was on the verge of collapse, and now the Church was about to eradicate them both.

He had seconds to decide. Should he strike down the priest, protect Hilda, or end the bride before she recovered fully? No matter what choice he made now, all seemed impossible.

The group of priests has banded together to generate much more mystic power and it’s not like the time when Reeva raided the church, because the priest here came prepared with their divine artifact. Giving them basic protection against other mystic energy.
