Gender Swap: The Introvert’s Broadcast

Chapter 65

Chapter 65

"What could be an offer that no one who broadcasts on Twitch could turn down?"

There are many offers, but the one I'm referring to is simple.

Partner Agreement.

On Twitch, when streamers meet certain conditions, they are offered a "partner streamer" agreement. If they accept, they become a partner streamer.

The benefits of becoming a partner streamer are simple.

"There’s a lot of benefits."

You get features like subscriptions, and badges. I’m not really sure what those do. I had seen it briefly when Rimaldo got the partner streamer status, but that’s about it.

[??????????: What's going on?]
[??????????: Tell us too.]
[If this isn't important, I’m downvoting haha.]
[This guy always makes a big deal out of nothing.]
[What's going on?]
[Why do you know? Why do you know? Why do you know? Why do you know? Why do you know? Why do you know? Why do you know?]

"Ah, it's not that big of a deal, I just got a partner streamer offer."

I said it as casually as I could. That way, I’d seem cool. I thought to myself that it's only natural for a streamer like me to get an offer like this.

[??????????: Trying to sound cool, huh?]
[??????????: You just hit 500 regular viewers though.]
[Hey, calm down.]
[The manager finally got recognized.]
[Guess it's understandable haha.]
[???? why are you mad though?]
[??: Trying to act cool is hilarious haha.]
[??????: (Wow, ?? I just got a partner offer, shit’s crazy.) But it’s not that big of a deal.]

"Come on, why can’t anyone just get it?"

Broadcasting is supposed to be about fun, but sometimes I just want to act a little cool. It happens sometimes. If you could just overlook it a bit.

I thought to myself that people just lack the right sense as I continued speaking.

"Well, I’ll read the contract slowly. If you rush through it, it could end badly. I’ve been scammed before."

I wasn’t the one who got scammed, but someone I call my parents had been. We were fighting so much that we left it to a realtor, and ended up finding a house without really reading the contract properly—

‘And somehow, we got scammed on the deposit.’

It’s still ridiculous to think about. I never thought I’d get scammed, but anyway.

That’s that, but right now, I need to focus on the matter at hand.

[??????????: Wait, how did that happen?]
[??????????: You got scammed on the deposit?]
[Umm…]
[??, that’s kind of sad.]
[Are you okay though?]
[I don’t think you ever posted about it on the gallery.]
[??: So, where are you living now?]
[??????: The bastards who scam people on deposits should all die.]

"Right now, I’m living in a one-room. Well... it’s not like I’m living with my family, so a one-room is fine."

When I first moved into the one-room, I couldn’t help but think, “Do I really have to live here?” but after a while, those thoughts disappeared. You get used to it when you don’t have much else.

"And right now, that’s not the important thing. I need to read this contract."

The most important thing in life is not to repeat the same mistake. That’s why I’m looking over this contract carefully.

"Reading through the contract… seems fine."

I’ve gone over all the clauses, and they actually look pretty good. Of course, Twitch takes a portion of the revenue, but since I’m already broadcasting on Twitch, it’s fair for them to take that cut.

[??????????: The partner streamer contract is actually really good.]
[??????????: It’s definitely worth it.]
[Someone showed part of it on a stream last time and it was fine.]
[There’s really no downside.]
[??: Sign it right now!]
[??????: Does this mean I get subscriptions too?]
[Yeah, you get subscriptions.]
[Oh, subscriptions sound good.]

Subscriptions.

As far as I know, it means that viewers can watch my streams without ads. You also get new emotes to use every month.

"You don’t really have to subscribe. I’m not doing it for the money."

But subscriptions weren’t really necessary. I didn’t start streaming to make money. I know the subscription fee is about 3,900 KRW per month, but honestly, it’s better to save that money and buy something delicious instead.

After I said that—

[??????????: What's with the sweetness? Haha.]
[If you’re going to spend 3,900 KRW, you should give it to Da Ma.]
[With 3,900 KRW, you can’t even get a decent meal these days. Might as well give it to you.]
[??: 3,900 KRW isn’t that much, it’s a reasonable price.]
[It’s not that expensive, so 3,900 KRW is just going to be a donation.]
[??????: I can't, I’m broke.]
[Ah, shit haha.]
[The poorest critic ever haha.]

Most of the viewers said they’d donate. It was probably just talk, but I was grateful. It meant they were enjoying my streams.

"Alright, let’s play the game."

After a brief chat, it was time to start the game.

The next day.

As usual, I turned on the stream again. But then—

[??????????: Oh, what’s this?]
[??????????: The subscription feature is up?]
[What’s this? Did the contract already go through?]
[Typical Twitch haha.]
[Twitch is a god, Twitch is a god, Twitch is a god, Twitch is a god.]
[??????: They always handle things poorly, but they got this done quickly haha. I shouldn’t say that, right?]
[Oh no.]
[Are you talking back to Twitch? This isn’t going to end well.]

The subscription feature was live. The button that didn’t exist before was now there.

They must have checked the contract I sent to Twitch yesterday.

"They really are fast with their processing."

Usually, when I hear things about the community, I think the people in charge are terrible. But at least they’ve handled my stuff quickly, so I’m relieved.

Just as I was thinking that…

[????????? has subscribed for 1 month!]
-Sub to Da Ma!
[??: I was going to do that, damn.]
[Why are you doing it? Why are you doing it? Why are you doing it? Why are you doing it? Why are you doing it?]
[Ah, you’re taking all of Da Ma’s subs now haha.]
[Da Ma, you’re done now..]
[??????: I don’t care, I don’t have money anyway.]
[The poorest critic ever haha.]

The viewers had started subscribing.

"I told you not to, what’s this? I told you not to do it."

I clearly said not to subscribe yesterday, but they went ahead and subscribed anyway. My manager really doesn’t listen to anything I say.

[??????????: How could I resist subscribing for the first time?]
[Couldn't resist haha.]
[The "first" carries a lot of weight...]
[Getting excited while sucking on a bottle, lol.]
[????]
[What the hell was that?]
[Shit, that was a surprise.]
[??????: Just a common orphan. Relax.]

Just as I was saying "don’t subscribe," I saw another notification.

[????? has subscribed for 1 month!]
[??? has subscribed for 1 month!]

"Oh, come on. I told you not to, but here you go."

The viewers had subscribed, even though I hadn’t even thought about emotes yet. They must really want to show their support.

As I was in mild disbelief—

[??? has donated 100,000 KRW!]

  • Congratulations on becoming a partner streamer!
    [??? has donated 100,100 KRW!]
  • Congratulations on becoming a partner streamer!

Two familiar people had made donations.

"Oh, what’s this? You two are suddenly making such big donations, I’m a bit overwhelmed."

I was grateful, but honestly, 100,000 KRW was a huge amount. Even 10,000 KRW would feel like a lot to me, let alone 100,000.

[??: Don’t feel burdened, I donated to celebrate you becoming a partner.]
[??: Don’t feel any strange burden.]
[??????????: If you’re donating, you might as well give me 10,000 more.]
[??: Still throwing in an extra 100 KRW haha.]
[??: You’re really trying to win, huh. Hmm.]

As I was feeling overwhelmed by the donations…

[??: By the way,]
[??: I have a proposal.]
[??: Are you free these days?]

Harin had a proposal to make.
