Chapter 384
Chapter 384
"Uuoooh...!"
The monster, letting out a thick, guttural roar, slammed into the ground.
A bull's head, adorned with thick horns, and a body packed with muscle lunged forward in a single, overwhelming motion.
Sierra, standing in the monster’s path, dropped her sword with a static expression. Just as the collision drew near, the sword was drawn.
One strike. Without the need for any elaborate explanation, a clean, precise slash was made.
The monster’s head flew through the air as if it were excessive. Blood erupted from the stump of its neck, and its body crumpled lifelessly.
“……”
A few steps forward, Sierra turned her body.
The monster, now lying in a heap on the ground.
A creature that, with its size and strength, could potentially rank fourth in future classifications, had lost its life in an instant.
‘In the end, it didn’t have much of a unique ability, and its physical strength was barely enough to rank... it’s not even a large species...’
It was a strong specimen, but not one that couldn’t be dealt with. Sierra could have taken it down effortlessly.
...As it is now, though, eliminating it with a single strike wasn’t easy. Sierra’s eyes, filled with complexity, focused on the sword.
The crimson blade. An artifact she had obtained in a dungeon, a sword long broken.
A sword that shouldn’t be in her hands now, yet it was intact, as though it had always been there. Still, it was a sword she had wielded up until just days ago.
A faint sense of unease crawled up her grip.
An even deeper sense of discomfort. Sierra glanced at the cross-section of the monster’s bull head lying on the floor.
It was unnervingly smooth.
- Creak...
- Thud
- Creak, creak...
- Grrk...
