Chapter 287 - 287 14 A Pleasant Weekend
?Chapter 287: Chapter 14 A Pleasant Weekend Chapter 287: Chapter 14 A Pleasant Weekend Blue Sky, white clouds, and the blossoming spray of the waves hitting the rocks, Julia sat angrily on the balcony, hugging her legs and gazing at the distant horizon. Her long, curly hair fluttered in the sea breeze. Every time she thought about how she had ended up here, she would get furious and had resolved that no matter what Adrian did today, she would ignore him.
At that time, she was at another villa, keeping her niece company, the daughter of her irresponsible brother and his girlfriend, Emma Roberts. Adrian had come over directly, declaring that they still had a date today.
“I didn’t agree at all yesterday,” Julia flatly refused him. She wanted him to know that she was not someone he could summon and dismiss at will. However, to avoid embarrassing Adrian too much (or so Julia thought), she quickly made an excuse, “I still need to accompany my niece.”
She had thought Adrian would take the hint and leave. However, to her surprise, he smiled, walked over to Emma, knelt down, and started to ingratiate himself. What she hadn’t expected was, just a few words later, the initially wary little girl was smiling at him. It always took much longer for someone to win Emma’s trust. Then, Adrian said something that almost made her faint.
“I’m supposed to go on a date with your aunt, but she’s not willing, so I have to use some unconventional methods to get her to come, then you can do whatever you want at home with the babysitter.” He said this to Emma, and her three-year-old niece blinked and then happily nodded her head.
“What are you talking about, Ed?” Julia yelled angrily, but the next moment, Adrian scooped her up in a sudden embrace.
Caught off guard, she screamed and, feeling both ashamed and furious, began to struggle. Before she could speak, Adrian threatened her first, “Stay still, Julia, unless you want Emma to see something she shouldn’t.”
“What are you planning to do?” Julia asked nervously.
“Nothing much,” Adrian tilted his head to think, then showed an offensive smile, “For instance, how about I tie you up with a rope and stuff you in a car?”
“I want to see! I want to see!” Before Julia could respond, the little Emma, sitting on the couch, suddenly giggled and clapped her hands, shouting excitedly.
Indignant and somewhat humiliated, Julia felt completely disoriented. By the time she came to her senses, she was already in Adrian’s car, half-coerced into going to Orange County.
