Liang Chen happened to be coming out of the dining room with a cup of coffee in hand. Upon spotting Jing Haohao, his steps faltered momentarily before he strode emotionlessly towards the elevator. Without a pause, he took it directly to the second floor, heading straight into the bedroom.

“Miss Jing, it’s getting late. Have you eaten yet?”

Jing Haohao couldn’t read Liang Chen’s thoughts at that moment and was reluctant to go upstairs. In the past, Liang Chen venting his anger at her was as common as daily meals. At that time, she had become so accustomed and numb to it that she could bear it without even flinching. However, things had changed. He hadn’t lost his temper at her in a long time and the sudden quarrel tonight made her somewhat scared.

So when Nanny Lin asked her if she was hungry, she quickly nodded without hesitation.

Nanny Lin promptly instructed the servants to prepare dinner for her and accompanied her to the dining room.

Jing Haohao ate slowly. As she chewed, her eyes traveled around the room, worried about how she would handle Liang Chen when she had to go upstairs.

Even if she was evading, her meal eventually came to an end.

Upon standing up, Jing Haohao dilly-dallied out of the dining room then onto the elevator.

The bedroom door was ajar. Liang Chen, freshly showered and in his bathrobe, sat on the sofa watching television.

Jing Haohao silently closed the door behind her and immediately darted into the bathroom to take a bath. Only after that did she leisurely emerge.

Upon hearing the bathroom door swing open, Liang Chen looked over his shoulder at Jing Haohao. He then turned around, grabbed the remote to switch off the television and rose to walk towards her.

Jing Haohao instinctively froze as he approached. As Liang Chen drew closer, she reeled back in fear.

Silent, Liang Chen steadily advanced, cornering her against the wall where there was no escaping.

When Liang Chen’s steps halted before her, Jing Haohao instinctively shut her eyes in fear, stammering, “I didn’t do it on purpose!”

Hearing her words, Liang Chen paused momentarily. The following second, he heard Jing Haohao’s trembling voice. “I didn’t do it on purpose. I was waiting all alone for a long time. I didn’t plan to meet him, I just missed the crew’s vehicle and had to take his car.”

She spoke urgently, her sentences disjointed, devoid of logic. Yet she wanted to explain herself to him. However, her explanation did nothing to alleviate Liang Chen’s turmoil. He had always known that she was somewhat afraid of him. Everyone in this world was. But only when confronted with her fear did he realize how deeply uncomfortable it made him feel.

Jing Haohao kept her eyes shut for a while, waiting for Liang Chen’s response. As no words came, she raised her head to look at him. Seeing his gaze upon her, she nervously pursed her lips. The next second, Liang Chen moved a step closer, pinning her to the wall and kissed her passionately.

Behind Jing Haohao was a mirrored wall.

As Liang Chen kissed her, he started tearing off their clothes.

As she turned around, Jing Haohao could clearly see their reflections in the mirror.
