Chapter 374 - 374 375 Joke (5)_1
?Chapter 374: Chapter 375: Joke (5)_1 Chapter 374: Chapter 375: Joke (5)_1 Jing Haohao never imagined that Shen Liangnian would betray her, but that doesn’t mean she hadn’t fantasized about such a day. She thought that she would definitely be enraged, distraught, and hysterical when the day came. Now that the day had arrived, Shen Liangnian had been with another woman behind her back for two years, yet instead of the anger she had imagined, she was terrifyingly calm. Her pitch-black, bright eyes stared straight at Shen Liangnian, her mood surprisingly placid, “Liangnian, there’s not much left to be said between us now. Let me go.”
“Haohao, I…” Shen Liangnian looked at Jing Haohao’s composed face and felt so ashamed that he was speechless. She was standing right in front of him, but he felt she was unimaginably distant. Subconsciously, he tightened his grip on Jing Haohao’s hand, as if this could prevent them from drifting apart, but deep inside, he was cold with fear.
Jing Haohao, who had appeared so calm before, suddenly let go of the hand she had been holding and, without a second thought, landed a hard slap on Shen Liangnian’s face.
Once upon a time, she had been incredibly good to him, even setting aside her last two eggs for him. It had never crossed her mind that she would slap him in front of so many people.
But now, this slap not only didn’t soothe the resentment and hatred in her heart, it seemed to deepen it.
She glared fiercely at Shen Liangnian, holding back the tears that threatened to spill over, her voice somewhat hoarse, “Shen Liangnian, if you had the audacity to cheat, why don’t you have the courage to let go now?”
If a man cheated just once, she could deceive herself, make excuses, tell herself he might’ve had too much to drink, and made a one-time mistake. But Shen Liangnian had been with Qiao Wennuan for two whole years. Jing Haohao couldn’t think of a single excuse for this. When she finally let her temper loose, her whole body started to shake, and she couldn’t stop her teeth from chattering. “Liangnian, as if I haven’t lost enough face already. Let go of me, let go!”
Jing Haohao yelled as she forcefully pulled at her own wrist.
Shen Liangnian held on tightly though; he knew that there was no hope left for them, but he just couldn’t prepare himself to let go.
“Shen Liangnian, let go of me! You bastard, let go of me!” Jing Haohao’s voice grew more frantic and hysterical.
Liang Chen, who was standing behind her, reached out and steadied her shoulder.
Jing Haohao suddenly turned around, her eyes, filled with unshed tears, looked at Liang Chen as if he was her last ray of hope. “Make him let go of me. Let me go!” she implored.
