?Chapter 460: Chapter 461 Happy Birthday (3)_1 Chapter 460: Chapter 461 Happy Birthday (3)_1 “Room 507.”

“Mmm.” Liang Chen hastily walked into the hotel, saw a crowd of people at the elevator entrance, and went straight to the stairs on the side — two steps at a time, he briskly climbed to the fifth floor.

Jing Haohao hung up the phone, and was just about to see how Xian’er was doing, when suddenly, there was a knocking sound at the door.

She quickly opened the door, and saw Liang Chen panting outside, sweat glistening on his handsome forehead from running.

She had just hung up the phone, and he had arrived… Had he been downstairs this whole time, never leaving?

A beat seemed to skip in Jing Haohao’s heart.

Liang Chen didn’t notice Jing Haohao’s odd behavior, steadied his breathing, and asked, “Where is she?”

“Over there.”

Jing Haohao pointed at the bed inside.

Liang Chen strode over, and by then, Xian’er had already fainted from the pain, her face pale, her breath weak.

Without uttering another word, Liang Chen reached out and effortlessly lifted Xian’er. “We must go to the hospital immediately.”

“I’ll go with you.” Jing Haohao haphazardly opened the cabinet, pulled out a short-sleeve cardigan, casually threw it on, grabbed her wallet and phone, and scurried out of the room after Liang Chen.

Liang Chen walked quickly, Jing Haohao jogged to keep up, hurriedly leaving the building. Liang Chen put Xian’er in the back seat, then quickly hopped in the car.

Jing Haohao hurriedly climbed into the car as well. The moment the car door closed, Liang Chen had already started the car.

The secluded Film and Television City was deserted at night, with virtually no traffic, the roads were clear. Liang Chen drove at top speed.

Normally, the drive to Jiangshan City would take at least two and a half hours, but he managed it in just an hour by driving with extreme speed.

Upon arrival at the hospital, Liang Chen carried Xian’er and headed straight for the emergency room.

Jing Haohao removed the car keys, locked the car, and quickly followed him.

By the time she entered, Liang Chen was no longer in the emergency room lobby. Jing Haohao ran to the front desk and asked about a man carrying a woman who had just come in. The nurse thought about it and told her, “He went to the third floor, probably went into the emergency room.”

Jing Haohao hurriedly ran up to the third floor just in time to see the ER door closing.

Liang Chen heard footsteps, turned his head, looked at Jing Haohao, but didn’t speak. Carrying someone back and forth had left him panting heavily.

The hospital was very quiet at night. Jing Haohao and Liang Chen sat on chairs outside the emergency room corridors without much interaction.

Jing Haohao held her phone, her anxiety making her restless.

After what felt like forever, Liang Chen checked his watch – it was already half past eleven. He turned to Jing Haohao and said, “I’ll book you a hotel room. You go get some sleep first. I’ll stay here and handle anything that comes up.”

Jing Haohao shook her head and forced a smile, “That’s okay.”

About five minutes later, the ER door opened, and a doctor in a white coat came out. “Are you friends of the patient?”

Jing Haohao stood up, while Liang Chen remained seated, calm as ever.

“The patient is not in serious condition, just acute gastroenteritis. Avoid spicy food in the future. Go downstairs to pay the hospitalization fee, and if there are no complications, she can be discharged in twenty-four hours.”

“Thank you, doctor.” Jing Haohao was about to take the hospitalization form from the doctor when Liang Chen got up and pulled it away first.
