Chapter 537 - 537 538 Haohao (1)_1
?Chapter 537: Chapter 538 Haohao (1)_1 Chapter 537: Chapter 538 Haohao (1)_1 As Liang Chen spoke, he began to walk out of the study. His pace was unstable, a piercing pain in his back nearly causing him to fall to the ground. Nevertheless, he gritted his teeth, straightened his back and felt warm liquid flowing slowly down his spine from the exertion.
Liang Chen’s sister-in-law, upon seeing Liang Zhoutian summon both Liang Yuan and Liang Chen into the study, instinctively knew something was wrong. Liang Yuan was typically cautious and unlikely to create chaos, leaving only Liang Chen as the potential issue.
Liang Chen was more ruthless than his father, a father and son face-off like this would likely end up badly for Liang Chen.
Though unclear of what was happening, Liang Chen’s sister-in-law immediately phoned Liang Chen’s mother.
The door to the study was locked, and the Liang Family Old Mansion was soundproof. Liang Chen’s mother and his sister-in-law stole listens at the door but only faintly heard arguing, clueless about the specifics.
Suddenly, the door swung open—Liang Chen’s mother immediately looked up, only to see Liang Chen walking out covered in blood. Her face turned pale in an instant, she shouted angrily at the room, “Liang Zhoutian, you wait!”
Then, she and Liang Chen’s sister-in-law helped Liang Chen to his own bedroom.
Liang Chen was unresponsive the whole time. His mother told him to lie down, and he complied.
Their father hadn’t held back; his shirt was reduced to bloody tatters from corporal punishment. The pain was raw as his mother and sister-in-law undressed him, but he remained still, lying there like a wooden statue.
The housekeeper had rushed in with a first aid kit, while his mother sobbed and tended to his wounds.
With eyes closed and enduring in silence, Liang Chen’s mind was filled with thoughts of Liang Yuan. Where had that bastard sent Jing Haohao?
Thinking about the things Liang Yuan had told him, about Jing Haohao’s divorce papers and the sterilization consent form she left him, he felt like his heart had been pierced by a thousand arrows.
How could she do this to him?
He hadn’t known how to love in the past, how to treat someone kindly.
Recently, he had been learning, and she had seen him trying. How could she leave him so heartlessly, without warning?
No, he had to find her and ask her why she did this.
Did she really hate him so much in her heart that she wouldn’t give him a single chance?
With that thought, Liang Chen abruptly stood up and knocked the medicine bottle out of his mother’s hand.
“My dear son, please don’t move. Lie down, and let Mom put medicine on you…”
Without a word, Liang Chen grabbed his torn and bloodstained shirt, hurriedly put it on, and began to rush towards the door.
Liang Chen’s mother quickly dropped the cotton swab in her hand and chased after him, “Chen, you’re still injured. Where are you going?”
Liang Chen, silent as ever, quickly made his way down the stairs.
Their father sat in the living room, his face filled with annoyance as he saw Liang Chen rushing out. He stood up and asked, “Where are you going?”
Liang Chen didn’t slow down. He dashed out of the house in a few strides, slamming the door shut behind him. He ignored his mother, who was calling after him, and got into his car. He stepped on the gas and left the old mansion.
