?Chapter 133: Brown Group is in trouble 2 Chapter 133: Brown Group is in trouble 2 “Honey, what should we do? What should we do?” Clara Brown paced anxiously in front of Terry Garcia.

Terry rubbed his somewhat aching forehead, controlled his emotions, and softly replied, “I’m not sure about the situation either. Your mom was taken away directly by the police, and they didn’t allow anyone to follow. But don’t worry, I’ve already sent someone to find out what’s going on. We will know soon.”

“How could mom possibly commit murder? This is impossible,” Clara said, puzzled and entangled.

Terry echoed, “Yeah, I also believe that mom is not that kind of person.”

Although he said so, he didn’t think so in his heart. He wished Audrey Scott were a murderer and would be sentenced to life imprisonment, so the Brown Group would truly belong to him.

Over the years, he had been managing the company, and the Brown Group should have been renamed Garcia Group a long time ago.

Clara’s hands intertwined, biting her lips and then releasing them, then biting again.

“If mom really did commit a crime, would you save her?”

Without any hesitation, Terry immediately replied, “She is our mom, of course, we must save her. No matter how much money we have to spend, it’s worth it. Besides, I firmly believe she is not that kind of person.”

His tender gaze fell on Clara, who looked a bit haggard with worry. But even her most beautiful face couldn’t withstand the passage of time. Compared to those young, fresh models, she paled in comparison.

Seeing her husband’s unwavering care, Clara couldn’t help but throw herself into his embrace, sobbing like a young girl.

In the past, she liked doing this whenever she was in trouble, triggering a man’s protective instincts.

But she had forgotten that being like this as a young woman was attractive and endearing, yet as she aged, it became more awkward.

“It’s fine, it’s fine, your mom will be okay. Don’t overthink it. As soon as we have news, I’ll let you know. When they allow us to visit, we’ll go together to see mom,” Terry said tenderly.

Clara embraced him tightly and nodded with a whimper.

Terry felt a bit tired, so he gently pushed her away and stroked her nose, “You’re getting old, but you still cry like a little kitten. Your makeup is smeared, and you don’t care if people laugh at you.”

While speaking, he handed her a tissue.

“Honey, are you tired of me? Am I really getting old?” Clara asked nervously.

Terry gently patted her shoulder and continued softly, “How could it be? In my heart, you’ve always been that 18-year-old girl, with the same charming, innocent, and radiant beauty.”

Although his words were sweet like honey, the tenderness in his eyes was as shallow as plain water.

Clara only heard what he said but couldn’t see what he was thinking. She happily thought that this man hadn’t changed and still treated her like his beloved baby girl.

“Honey, you’re so good,” Clara said sweetly, while Terry looked at her with a smile.

Seeing her dry the tears from the corner of her eyes, Terry spoke again, “You must have seen the stock price today. I still have a lot to deal with, so you go home and wait for news, okay?”

Although Clara didn’t want to leave, she knew the company’s situation today, so she reluctantly stayed a few more minutes before leaving.

As Clara finally left, Terry couldn’t help but breathe a long sigh of relief.

When she was young and beautiful, Clara was bold, lively, and good at flirting and acting cute. Compared to Josephine Garcia’s bland temperament, he did prefer the more lively Clara, at least in bed.
