Chapter 136 - 136 Crash again 2

?Chapter 136: Crash again 2 Chapter 136: Crash again 2 Audrey Scott looked at her daughter, whose intelligence seemed to drop the moment she saw Terry Garcia, and couldn’t help but get a headache.

After thinking about it, it was not her daughter’s fault; Terry Garcia was so good at disguising himself that most people would be deceived by him.

“Clara, after your father’s accident, I secretly transferred a large portion of my shares to your name. You’ll know this if you ask Lawyer Carter later. I now hold less than 10% of the shares, while you hold 25%,” Audrey told her daughter.

Hearing this news suddenly, Clara Brown was so astonished that she couldn’t close her mouth. 25% meant that her position in the company would be irreplaceable.

“Mom, why did you do this?” Clara was still somewhat unclear. “Wouldn’t it be better if you just gave it directly to my husband? After all, he and our children will get everything later.”

“Are you silly?” Audrey Scott looked at her speechlessly and had no choice but to explain the key point. “If the shares are in your hands, Terry Garcia has to follow your lead and listen to you in order to get your support for his position in the company in the future. If the shares are in his hands, you would be of no use to him.”

“He’s not that kind of person,” Clara insisted with a smile.

Audrey scoffed, “Do you not know what happened after he took all of Josephine Garcia’s shares?”

Hearing this, Clara became a little upset and couldn’t help defending Terry Garcia. “Mom, he won’t treat me like this. I believe that I am the one he loves the most.”

Seeing her daughter’s naive thoughts, Audrey was disappointed. “Don’t be fooled by his sweet talk. I’ve seen more people than the roads you’ve walked, and my eyes have never failed me. If you don’t trust me, you’ll suffer in the future.”

“Mom… ”
Audrey Scott continued, “Don’t think I’m trying to stir up trouble in your marriage. I’m just giving you a safety net, so don’t be foolish and transfer your shares to him just because he sweet talks you. Understand?”

Although Clara felt that Audrey was too harsh on Terry Garcia, she understood that her mother was thinking about her own best interests. Therefore, she complied, “Mom, I understand that you are doing this for my sake, and I will listen to your advice.”

However, she did not reveal her true thoughts completely.

Actually, Audrey knew her daughter very well, and when it came to being scheming, Clara was no match for her granddaughter.

But in her heart, a granddaughter would eventually be married off; she could give her dowry, but not shares.

As for her grandson, he was not yet an adult, and if the shares were transferred to him, as his father, Terry Garcia would have the same power as Clara.

After much thought, placing the shares under Clara’s control seemed to be the safest option. This would not only help her daughter protect her marriage but also balance Terry Garcia’s power, and if she managed to get them back, everything could return to her hands.

Clara walked over to Terry Garcia, both excited and a little nervous about her newfound status.

“Seeing your mood is a bit off, did your mother say anything?” Terry Garcia asked with concern.

Clara asked him, “Does my mood seem really off? How can you tell?”

“It’s written all over your face, my dear wife,” he affectionately called her, and as he uttered these words, in his mind he remembered General Garcia’s voice calling him “my precious.”
