Chapter 260 - Pokemon: I Transmigrated Twice [260]: END
Boom! Boom-boom!
Stephen and Joker threw out their Pokéballs at the same time. As soon as the black and white dragons emerged, they clashed with their signature moves—Blue Flare and Bolt Strike.
The collision of the two legendary dragons shook the entire earth so violently that even those miles away at the rear could feel it.
On the other side of the battlefield, Silver stared dumbfounded at the two dragon gods tearing at each other in the sky. He muttered to himself:
"Black Dragon Zekrom... it should have been devoured by Mr. Lance's Kyurem... After N, did he choose Joker? Then what about Mr. Lance...?"
A unique and gender-ambiguous voice exclusive to Team Rocket sounded in his ear.
"Hello, Young Master Silver, you have time to daydream on the battlefield?"
Startled, Silver took a few steps back and found that Sird had somehow appeared at his side.
"In a way, you're the biggest trigger for this war, Young Master Silver," Sird said with a smile.
"I don't know what you're talking about! Feraligatr! Hydro Cannon!"
Silver's heart vaguely guessed something, but he refused to admit it.
Sird calmly waved her hand. The Nightmare Pokémon appeared herself. She flipped her right palm forward.
A beam of Ice Beam as powerful as any Ice-type's native move clashed head-on with Feraligatr's Hydro Cannon.
As a main character's rival in the original, plus with Giovanni's blood and years of training under Pryce, Silver's potential was at least high Champion level.
But now, he was still just an 11-year-old kid—no match for Sird, who had been Champion-level for years and had Darkrai in hand.
Fortunately, Sird wasn't fighting him seriously, more like toying with him.
"You know it too, right? Young Master Silver, inheriting Team Rocket is your inescapable fate."
Taking advantage of the shockwave from Feraligatr's Aqua Tail and Darkrai's Dark Pulse colliding, Sird stepped back and pressed Silver:
"Now's your chance. Put on the Team Rocket uniform, and we'll withdraw immediately. That way, you'll avoid the casualties of war."
With a flourish, Sird produced a Team Rocket uniform—the very one she'd picked for Silver in the manga.
Silver hesitated again, looking at the chaotic battlefield.
"Quiver Dance! Dazzling Gleam!"
At that moment, Cetra, with her waterfall-like silver hair, called out a mysterious, beautiful, Mismagius-like Pokémon.
In a flash, a dazzling powdery light burst forth, forcefully blocking Steven's MEGA Diancie's Diamond Storm.
Cetra exchanged a look with Zinnia.
"Thanks, little sister," Zinnia grinned, then charged with her MEGA Salamence, aiming straight at Norman!
"I heard from Karen you participated in the plan to kill my cousin, didn't you?"
Zinnia sneered, "Then I'll start with you!"
MEGA Salamence raised its right claw, gathering blue dragon energy into a sharp blade that slashed downward.
A flash of guilt crossed Norman's face.
To be fair, Norman was only an accessory; he was just guarding the perimeter back then, not letting others in. He didn't deserve death.
But the Dragon Sisters needed someone to vent their rage on.
Anyone involved in that operation—they wouldn't let any of them go.
Even so, Norman wasn't about to just give up and die.
"Focus Punch!"
Slaking's burly arm burst with orange light, meeting the dragon claw head-on.
A thunderous boom and shockwave split the ground with a constant cracking sound.
As Hoenn's strongest Gym Leader and once a temporary Rayquaza tamer in the manga, Norman's strength was undeniable.
But Zinnia wasn't a pushover either. Her MEGA Salamence could even go toe-to-toe with MEGA Rayquaza.
Sure enough, after a couple of seconds, Slaking showed clear pain.
"Die!"
Seizing her chance, Zinnia leaped from Salamence's back, calling out another dragon—Goodra—midair, and whipped Norman with Dragon Tail.
"Ice Punch!"
A muscular Swampert burst in from the side, smashing Goodra's face with a cold, forceful punch.
Zinnia turned—MEGA Swampert, and Norman's son, Ruby.
"Get lost, I don't want to kill you," Zinnia said coldly.
She'd checked beforehand—this kid was Norman's son.
Even if she was determined to kill those responsible, she wasn't crazy enough to hurt their families.
"He's my dad!"
Ruby knew his dad bore some blame, but not everyone could turn against their own family. And he didn't think his dad should die—he was just a guard, not a killer.
"Heh~"
Zinnia sneered, then suddenly retreated rapidly, leaving Ruby and Norman confused.
"Why did she...?"
"Ruby, look out!"
Norman shouted and pulled his son close, turning his back to the sky. Ruby felt a suffocating sense of danger.
Looking up, he saw a growing green light from above.
It was... Rayquaza's Dragon Ascent!
"Mr. Norman!"
"Ruby!"
Hoenn League trainers screamed.
Too late.
A deafening crash.
Where Norman and Ruby had stood was now a crater over a hundred meters wide.
Slaking and MEGA Swampert, arms wide, had shielded their trainers from most of the impact, but both collapsed immediately, their fate unknown.
Norman, shielding his son from Rayquaza's attack, was now covered in blood.
Ruby, feeling something drip on his face, looked up to find it wasn't water—but his father's blood.
"D-dad!?"
"T-tell your mom... I'm sorry..."
With that, Norman collapsed on top of his son.
"Dad—Dad—!"
Ruby's wails echoed across the battlefield, but no one had time to care.
Whether League or Team Rocket, if you relaxed for even a second, you could be sent to the next world.
Watching all this, Silver's face showed true guilt.
"If you'd agreed a minute earlier, that kid's dad wouldn't have died," Sird said, pouring salt on the wound.
"I..."
Silver almost spoke.
"Silver, don't listen to him!"
A familiar voice drew everyone's attention—a Dragonite crashed down.
Lance!
Landing at Silver's side, the long-lost Indigo Champion barked:
"This isn't your fault. No matter what you choose, a war between the League and Team Rocket was inevitable."
Giovanni, who had quietly watched his son and Stephen's child fight, finally entered the battlefield upon seeing Lance.
"I thought you'd keep hiding forever," Lance spat at his old rival. "You stirred up all this just to force your son to inherit your mess. I overestimated you."
"Haven't seen you in a while and you've gotten sharp-tongued," Giovanni sneered. "Still, I have to admire your courage for showing up."
Drawing Lance away from the League was part of Giovanni's plan for this war. But whether Lance would come was uncertain.
After all, Kyurem had left, and with Lance's current team, Giovanni didn't even need Dark Mewtwo to beat him.
"Whatever. It's a bit much bullying the weak, but since you're here, don't even think about leaving."
Giovanni showed no mercy and threw a Master Ball.
Another god descended—Dark Mewtwo!
"Wait, what?!" Gold's face changed. "Is Giovanni going to kill Lance? Isn't he afraid Silver will hate him?"
Gold and Silver often bickered, but were close. He knew the delicate balance between Giovanni and Lance—Giovanni wanted to kill Lance but hesitated out of gratitude for raising Silver.
He was afraid Silver would break ties with him if he killed Lance.
But now, Giovanni didn't care.
Facing Dark Mewtwo, Lance pointed to the sky and shouted:
"Please!"
It was reminiscent of when he summoned Kyurem. Did Lance convince Kyurem to return?
Everyone had the same thought.
But seeing Kyurem locked in battle with Stephen and Joker's Shadow Lugia, they realized even if Lance summoned Kyurem, it wouldn't matter. An incomplete Kyurem couldn't beat MEGA Dark Mewtwo, and Giovanni was a better trainer overall.
But then, beams of green light streaked across the sky from the east, gathering behind Lance.
"That's...!?"
Kalos trainers like Selena and Diantha were shocked.
Within seconds, a giant green serpent appeared behind Lance—Zygarde, the God of Order!
"That way is Kalos..."
"Giant Dragonite, Kyurem, now Zygarde... Champion Lance sure has a thing for Dragon-type legends," Blue quipped.
[Who is the evil human!?]
Zygarde's boyish psychic voice echoed in everyone's mind.
Its hatred of humans—this had to be the blue core.
"I think I know why he's cooperating with Lance," Lorelei, dragged to the rear by Tifa after her defeat, said.
"What can a half-formed Zygarde do?" Giovanni scoffed, hands in his pockets. Dark Mewtwo's right hand raised, psychic energy forming a spoon like a giant knife.
Only a Zygarde fused with the red and blue cores could unleash its true power. Half a god of order was nothing to fear.
Noticing what was happening, Stephen's eyes flickered.
Blue core Zygarde teaming up with Lance... Unexpected, but not surprising.
Their experiences were similar—Lance, depressed after being beaten by him and Giovanni, and his childhood trauma, grew to hate humanity. If not for the power gap, he'd be plotting humanity's purge like in the manga.
The blue core Zygarde, after being manipulated by Team Flare, became extremely hostile to humans. If the friendly red core hadn't held him back, it would have gone berserk and become a second Yveltal, attacking humans indiscriminately.
So, it wasn't strange that these two misanthropes would team up.
"Just don't forget the original purpose of this war..." Stephen muttered.
From the start, Team Rocket was doomed to fail.
Even if Lusamine hadn't become the Pokemon League Chairman, Stephen would have done the same. Unlike the World Government in One Piece, the Pokémon League, despite its many undercover agents, still had the people's support. Team Rocket could never take over by force.
Even if they won now, once Red, Blue, Gold, Rosa, Serena, and the other main characters grew up, Team Rocket would be overthrown.
So, this war was just a reshuffling of power and a purge of both sides' bad elements.
League members like the Hoenn Chairman and Stone family, who committed major crimes, would be exposed. Accomplices like Norman would face retribution from Zinnia and Aster.
Team Rocket also had some unruly members—this was the chance to clean house and weaken the organization. After all, a criminal group can't be allowed to grow too strong.
...
...
...
Hours later, news spread that Giovanni was dead and Joker had fled with less than 20% of Team Rocket's members.
People around the world celebrated, singing for the Pokémon League and cheering Stephen, who had defeated both Joker and Giovanni.
"Silver got taken away—will he be okay?" Gold asked worriedly.
"Green took him, he'll be fine," Blue replied.
Red nodded too.
They never understood why their old friend joined Team Rocket, but after fighting on the battlefield, they realized Green hadn't changed. So even though Silver was taken by Team Rocket, they weren't too worried.
"Dr. Stephen!!!"
"Dr. Stephen!!!"
"Dr. Stephen!!!"
No one knew who shouted first, but within seconds, the whole Galar region was in an uproar.
Though Joker and other top members of Team Rocket escaped, they were no longer a decisive threat. All this was thanks to one man.
Wallace—who was only on good terms with Stephen—slung an arm around him and laughed:
"I told Winona we'd get married after the war, you have to come to our wedding!"
Stephen's expression was odd.
Because, according to the girls' gossip, the two divorced not long after marrying. Mainly, Winona was a dominant career woman who wanted her husband to stay home, while Wallace, though gentle in appearance, was also career-driven. They were doomed from the start.
"Big Brother Stephen! Miss Cynthia is about to give birth! Hurry!"
Little Hoopa came running in a panic.
In an instant, the birth of Stephen's first child became the most anticipated event in the League.
Soon, Stephen and the others passed through a portal created by Hoopa.
A few hours later, Nurse Joy walked out of the operating room and handed Stephen a baby girl who had his black hair and Cynthia's phoenix eyes.
"So cute!"
"She inherited her parents' genes perfectly~"
"Little Ran, call me Auntie, quick!"
A crowd gathered around.
Stephen handed the baby to Karen and then walked into the operating room.
The child trainers who had fled the battlefield hours earlier were gathered inside.
"Daddy!"
A group of future daughters swarmed him. After comforting each one, Stephen went to Cynthia's bedside and held her left hand.
On the right side, Joker, who was holding Cynthia's right hand, took off her mask—revealing eyes just like Cynthia's.
Stephen's hair, Cynthia's eyes—it was exactly like the little Ran being cuddled by Karen and the others outside.

AbsoluteCode: Eh? I didn't realize this was the last Chapter. Lol.
Anyways, that's it, folks! One more story completed! Thanks to the members who supported this book.
It has a sudden ending, but it's still a solid fanfic story. To be honest, this book was the hardest for me to proofread. I usually spend at least an hour finishing one Chapter. I'm glad I made it to the end!
Thank you to all my readers.
See you in the next pokemon fanfic!
