Chapter 223: Your Odyssey

"I have one more song I'd like to perform before we wrap up this concert."

Upon hearing those words, a mix of surprise, curiosity and anticipation, rippled across the stadium.

And following up immediately, was a shout from one of Kyle's fans!

"Is it the [Saturday Mornin'] song?! Please sing the [Saturday Mornin'] song!"

"Yeah! When are you going to release that song Kyle?! It's been two years and counting!" another fan voiced his opinions!

Like that, more and more of the people in the audience began to clamor for the [Saturday Mornin'] to be performed live.

In response, Kyle shook his head in denial as he spoke into the mic;

"That's a special song, kept for special occasions. So no. I won't be singing it."

A groan of dissatisfaction cascaded over the stadium.

"Oh, come, on!!!" one lady in particular belted out in denial.

"Listen here young man, I have a frying pan and I'm not afraid to use it! Sing the darn song!!" another feminine voice followed up immediately after, her tone full of mirth.

"I also have an electric guitar and I'm not afraid to use it! I won't sing the song!!" Kyle instantly retaliated, matching the lady's rambunctious energy as he tapped into his more chaotic side.

As if people hadn't already laughed their asses off at the concert today, another round of hysterical laughter swept through the venue.

Finding his antics with his fans just as humorous as everyone else, Kyle similarly shared in their laughter and then, about a minute later when it had subsided, he spoke into the mic once more;

"Last year, I read a beautiful novel called [Evergarden]."

A good chunk of people in the crowd cheered at that as they too had read the novel. It was nice knowing that their favorite musician also read something that they did.

"It was written by the lovely soul that is Christina Aubert." Kyle gave the lady her flowers as more and more cheers ensued in response.

"And you know what the best part about it was? To me at least?" he asked of the crowd, all of whom seemed to be of one mind as they responded in unison;

"WHAT?!"
