Chapter 136 - 136 131 Want to review a bit

?Chapter 136: Chapter 131: Want to review a bit? Chapter 136: Chapter 131: Want to review a bit? Only Wei Sisan and Jiang Zhuge were left in the courtyard.

Jiang Zhuge voiced his concern, “I’m afraid this might anger Gua Zhengnie.”

“How so?” Wei Sisan asked.

“We’re bursting out and establishing the New City Sect, which will surely become the largest sect in the Wastelands. It surely will overtake the Third Demon and the Sky Domain Sect. I’m afraid Gua Zhengnie won’t be able to bear it.”

“If he can’t bear it, then that’s his problem. We can’t let him dictate things. He’s like a mangy dog. No matter how well you treat him, he won’t appreciate it. We must do what needs to be done.” This time, Wei Sisan was decisive. He also had to consider matters of succession, and break away.

Jiang Zhuge nodded in response.

“The more critical the situation, the more we can’t waver.”

“You’re right, Brother.”

Wei Sisan had another idea. If they didn’t break away from the Third Demon first, future disciples would have to face Gua Zhengnie and Zun Yu. Only by breaking away could they avoid their influence. This was a good thing. While he was still around, he had to carefully make arrangements and consider his successor.

The weather was getting milder, as if spring was on its way.

Ye Chen no longer had to practice martial arts as he used to. He was not accustomed to the freedom, like a caged animal suddenly set loose and unsure where to go. That was exactly how he felt.

All he could do was fish at home. He was oblivious to the happenings across the street. Lots of people seemed to have moved in, creating quite a stir. It was usually quieter, and the landscape villa over there had been uninhabited. Suddenly, people moved in, and Ye Chen, living across, found it somewhat unbearable. He even wondered who would take a fancy to such a haunted house.

Ye Chen had sneaked in before. There were plenty of plants, and it seemed a bit haunted at night. The place was huge with eight or nine courtyards, much like a labyrinth. But who would want to buy such a forsaken haunted villa? It was rather surprising. It even made him suspect if they had too much money on their hands.

If it were not for the need to practice martial arts, he wouldn’t have chosen such a remote place.

Probably due to the noise, Ye Chen decided to go out for a stroll. He called out, “Old man, I’m going out for a walk. Are you coming?” The weather was nice that day, suitable for a walk. The snow on the ground had melted a few days ago.

“Go ahead, just remember to come back. Bring me a couple of roast chickens.”

“Okay, but don’t wander around and get caught. If that happens, I won’t go looking for you,” Ye Chen said.

He stepped out of the door to see the commotion across. Fancy items were being moved in and out as if a wedding was happening. Practically the whole street seemed to serve this family.

They seemed to be the people of the Third Demon.

Somehow, people from the Third Demon had moved here.

Ye Chen took a quick glance, then proceeded forward. He planned to take a stroll on the street. However, soon after he started, two girls carrying stuff came across the street corner.

One of the girls spotted Ye Chen first. They were on opposite sides of the street. Ye Chen noticed her as well but lowered his head to avoid her gaze. The girl handed her stuff to the other girl, crossed the street, and began to follow Ye Chen.

Ye Chen quickened his pace.

The girl called out, “You lecher, stop right there.”

Seeing that there were no other people on the street and that the other girl didn’t follow, Ye Chen turned around, as running away seemed pointless.

The two were several feet apart. He was curious about the girl’s intentions.

“Young lady, it’s been four and a half years, what are you thinking? Can’t let go? Or do you want me to marry you?” Ye Chen was about ten feet away from her.

“Stop right there, and I’ll tell you what I want.”

“We’ve grown up. That day I was a bit crazy and kissed you uncontrollably, which probably traumatized you. But that was in the past. Or, would you like to kiss me back now?”

“A lecher indeed.”

“Oh well, call me whatever you like if it makes you happy. I just want to know what makes you let it go. Would it be, you want me to marry you? If that’s the case, then get your dad to prepare a big dowry. I’ll consider it.”

“Stand still.” She tried to catch him.

“You are not planning to take me back as a slave, are you? I’m afraid you are not a match for me. Most likely, you will end up being my slave.”

The girl was getting closer.

Ye Chen suddenly stopped, “Fine, I’ll let you kiss me back, let’s call it even, how about that?”

A palm strike came towards him. Ye Chen swiftly dodged it.

“You weren’t like this when we first met. What have you been through these past years that made you so irritable?”

She unleashed a series of fierce attacks.

“Whoosh, whoosh…” Another palm strike aimed at him.

But how could she be a match for Ye Chen? With his Swift Movement Technique, he dodged again, leaving Ling’er to lunge into thin air.

“Keep going like this, and no one will want you.”

She was just short of pulling out her sword. How was this guy so elusive, making her miss three times?

“Can we take a break and go to the inn for some tea?”

That guy was as nimble as a monkey. Wei Yiling could not touch him at all. He was like a ghost, easily evading her.

“With your level of skill, you can’t catch me,” Ye Chen said with confidence.

“I can’t catch you.” Wei Yiling seemed skeptical.

“Don’t push me, or I’ll give you another four years of trauma.”

“Incoherent talk, huh? If I catch you, I’ll parade you through the streets.”

“Parade through the streets, do I need to strip naked?”

“I have to strip you down before parading you.”

“Gosh, you wish to put me to shame. That’s not nice. If you really want to see me naked, just tell me. We can find a room and I’ll satisfy you.”

We Yiling became more and more anxious but just couldn’t capture him. This guy used some martial arts technique that allowed him to float around like a ghost, dancing gracefully.

Seeing her moves becoming random, Ye Chen couldn’t take it anymore. He suddenly turned, flashed behind her, and immobilized her.

She was stunned and couldn’t move at all, unable to comprehend what just happened.

“I’ve told you that you’re no match for me, but you wouldn’t believe it,” Ye Chen said seriously, “You’ve gotten prettier since last time. Quite tempting, indeed. Marrying you would probably be nice. You have a big behind, suitable for having many children.”

Wei Yiling blushed and asked, “What are you going to do?”

Ye Chen had already moved closer and replied, “The last kiss was too quick; I didn’t feel a thing. I want to relive that moment.”

“You dare?”

She looked around to make sure no one was there.

“Now I’m the one calling the shots. What wouldn’t I dare do?” He was getting closer still.

The poor girl couldn’t escape and was nearly in tears.

Only then did Ye Chen stop, saying, “Oh no, I don’t want to force you. There was a reason for what happened last time.”

“Oh, really? There was a reason?”

“Yes, it’s hard for me to explain.”

“So there was a reason for you to go around kissing people randomly, huh?”

“Oh please, I’m not that despicable. I only kiss the pretty ones.”

“You bad boy.”

“Do you agree to make peace? If you don’t, I might have to make you relive that moment.” Saying this, Ye Chen moved closer to kiss her with his eyes closed.

“Stop, I agree to peace.”

“You agree to peace, right? This is you saying it. If it happens again, you’ll have to relive the past and learn what’s new.”

“I said it, peace.”

“Let’s make peace, then.”

“Fine, peace.”

“You don’t want to strip me naked and parade me through the streets now, do you?”

By now, she had no better options and could only back down. “No more parading.”

“Alright, although I really wanted to relive the moment, I won’t push you.”

Ling’er was gritting her teeth by now.

Ye Chen continued, “Let’s let bygones be bygones. Don’t bother me again. If you do, next time, I’ll make sure you’ll remember me for the rest of your life.”

Yiling remained silent, her mind elsewhere.

He turned around and released her from the pressure point.

Ling’er hadn’t reacted, and he was already gone.

Wan Lan led a group of people rushing over, but Ye Chen had already disappeared around the corner of the street.

Wan Lan asked, “What happened? Were you kissed again?”

She slapped Wan Lan, scolding, “Am I such a pushover? Why were you so slow?”

“I was at my fastest. As soon as I put down my things, I came out.”

Wei Yiling’s heart was still pounding as she said, “That guy’s martial arts are not bad. I don’t know which sect he belongs to, but I couldn’t even touch his clothes.”

“Is he that amazing?”

“I didn’t even touch him. The only time he touched me, he had already immobilized me.”

“That incredible! Did you manage to discern which sect he belongs to?”

Wei Yiling shook her head in response.

“It seems he is staying in Wasteland City.”

Ling’er nodded her head in agreement.

For the past few days, they had been moving house, relocating their belongings from their old residence to Sky Lake Manor. Their previous home would be handed over to Gua Zhengnie and his cohorts.

They had been busy for several days.

“We should set a bounty on him,” Mu Wanlan suggested.

Yiling shook her head, saying, “I just hope he doesn’t fall into my hands.”

Ye Chen turned onto the main street and found a tea shop. Suddenly, he noticed a crowd gathering nearby, as if they were discussing something interesting. Curious, he walked over to listen.

He heard a man say, “There’s about an 80% chance that Wei Sisan will relinquish his position as Alliance Leader.”

“If he steps down as Alliance Leader, who could take over?” an old man asked.

“It’s sure to be Earth King Gua Zhengnie.”

Someone said, “I heard they’re going to implement some kind of rotation system. Gua Zhengnie and Zun Yu would each take turns for a year and so forth.”

“Isn’t that a joke? Those two only care about themselves. They have no regard for Wastelands at all; they are bound to mess things up,” someone else worriedly said.

“Even though they might mess things up, we can’t do anything about it. Wei Sisan has already agreed to give up his position as Alliance Leader. They’ve already started moving out. If it’s not true, how else would they be able to move out?”

The old man responded, “Wei Sisan isn’t that kind of person. How could he surrender his position as Alliance Leader, so those two self-centered idiots could rule? Wastelands will descend into chaos. And a rotation system? What a joke! Do they think being Alliance Leader is a game to satisfy themselves?”

“Exactly! They’re treating the Alliance Leader position as if it were child’s play. How could Wei Sisan agree to such an outrageous thing?”

“Perhaps Wei Sisan has other considerations.”

“Even if he does have other considerations, this is not the way to do it. I don’t think there are good days ahead for the Wastelands.”

“Maybe we’re overthinking it. Things might not be as bad as we think. Over the years, Wei Sisan’s strength has grown rapidly. He’s not the same person he was a few years ago. With his composure, if those two idiots really wanted to cause some disaster, he wouldn’t just stand by and watch.”

“If he’s giving up the position of Alliance Leader, how could he intervene?”

Ye Chen listened intently to the conversation and suddenly remembered what he saw when he left his home earlier. Could the people moving in be them?
