Nikolai couldn't find it in himself to focus as Mineah's image kept invading his thoughts. It still fascinated him how much he was naturally comfortable and shameless around her. It was probably all instinct though, and he couldn't help but flash a mischievous smile as he recalled how boldly she called on him to make babies.

'I wonder if she noticed I told her that I love her like I've always said those words to her,' he inwardly mused. 

He had told her that he loved her when they made love that noon. The last he recalled doing that, she had told him that he wasn't obliged to tell her that whenever they made love, and yet the words naturally came out of his lips. He was glad she didn't scold him this time, however. After all, he meant those words. He couldn't explain it himself, but his heart truly felt for those words to come out simply.

"Look at you grinning all alone," Abel snorted at him. "You do know that you've been doing that often in meetings with others, right? If this continues, you'll start looking like you're going crazy in your head."

Fritz then chuckled as he fanned himself. "Let our King be, Abel. He lost a part of his memories, so he's probably recalling some good stuff," he stated. "That's most likely why he's acting funny lately."

"Perhaps," Nikolai vaguely stated before he quickly became serious. "Anyway, I want to make sure that Raul won't be compromised, Abel."
