Jose gripped Amy’s hand tightly and kept his eyes on the direction of the Mahithilde Arena.

Amy murmured, and Jose nodded in full agreement.

"That's typical of the Sinclairs."

Jose spoke as if making a vow.

"If anything dangerous happens, don’t step in. Stay behind me. Wait for the right moment and protect your life first."

"Are you telling me to run away?"

"Exactly. Because we need to survive."

"What happens after we survive?"

Amy asked.

"Once we survive, we'll have bought ourselves another day."

Jose replied.

"And then? If we run away, will the monsters disappear? Will these crazy experiments stop?"
