Shen Jingxiu felt incredulous.
“My dad playing games? What kind of games?” Throughout his memory, he had never seen his father play any games at all!
He hadn’t expected Wenyan to be capable of that.
“Ah!” Su Yang sighed lightly, “Racing games. Just now, Wenyan wasn’t the only one feeling dizzy; your dad actually felt even dizzier.”
“So that’s how it is.”
Hearing this, Shen Jingxiu understood, playing racing games was probably an attempt to understand his youngest brother a little more.
However, it seemed like the outcome wasn’t very good.
“Oh right, how is Qiao Kexin’s mother’s situation being handled?”
“By the book.”
“Good,” Su Yang nodded, “You probably haven’t had dinner yet, have you? Tell me what you want to eat, and I’ll have the kitchen make it for you.”
“No need, I got a bit hungry after leaving the police station, so I just ate something casually. I’m already full.”
“Then come over and sit.” As she spoke, Su Yang gently patted the space next to her, “There’s something I want to discuss with you.”
“What is it?”
“I remember… did the company plan to invest in a film and television company before? The incident with Yanyan actually has a bit to do with her current way of working.
I said I would help her out, since I also have quite a few connections in the entertainment industry. But after thinking it over, I resolved that it would be more convenient through a film and television company than if I were to intervene personally, don’t you think?”
Shen Jingxiu nodded, “I understand what you mean, mom. However, that plan was previously shelved. I’ll look into it again when I go to the office on Monday and then see about moving forward as soon as possible.”
“Good, just remember that this matter is pending. Your dad is feeling a bit dizzy, and I plan to take him outside for a walk to breathe some fresh air. Do you want to come along?”
“No need, you two go ahead.”
“Alright then, you’ve also been busy all day, rest early.”
Su Yang hadn’t taken a walk with her children for a long time.
Sons, well, once they grow up, they don’t stay as close to their mother, and there will probably be even less time to spend together once they have their own families.
Su Yang felt a bit disappointed, but she didn’t insist.
Shortly after, she left the house arm-in-arm with Shen Yuan.
After they departed, Shen Jingxiu didn’t immediately head up to his room on the second floor to rest. Instead, he went to the gym in the basement to work out for a while.
He had planned to train in the afternoon, but that was ruined by Qiao Kexin’s mother.
But at this moment, it was clear that he was not in the zone, and so he left the gym after less than half an hour.
Downstairs in the dining room, the staff had specially prepared fresh juice for him. He sipped on it while he decisively picked up his phone to call his assistant.
“Sort out the previously shelved film and television company project for me to review tomorrow.”
“Yes, I know it was vetoed. After I have a look, I’ll decide whether to continue with the original plan. As for the rest, don’t worry about it now.”
After saying that, Shen Jingxiu hung up the phone.
He had just stood up with half a glass of juice leftover when he suddenly realized that Shen Jinghe had been standing behind him, though he wasn’t sure since when.
Shen Jingxiu was slightly surprised but still kept a placid expression.
“When did you come back?”
Shen Jinghe stepped forward a few paces and then sat down next to Shen Jingxiu, pulling out the chair beside him.
“I’ve been here since you started talking to your assistant.”
Shen Jingxiu sat back down as well.
“It seems you have something to say to me,” Jingxiu noted, recognizing the rarity of the occasion.
Shen Jinghe hummed in acknowledgment, feeling a bit uncomfortable himself, but since he had already sat down beside him, he couldn’t just get up and leave.
That would look like he had some issue.
He glanced at Shen Jingxiu, “Since the film and television company project had been shelved, why consider restarting it now? Is it because of Wenyan?”
Shen Jinghe asked directly, and Shen Jingxiu responded just as straightforwardly.
“Yes, mom talked to me about this before you came back, concerning this very issue.”
Shen Jinghe nodded, “Then how long will it take to get it done? Quickly?”
Shen Jingxiu gave an honest answer, “It can’t be done quickly for the time being, because it’s a company decision. I can’t decide on my own; a discussion in a meeting is necessary first.”
“…” Shen Jinghe raised his eyebrows, “Then there’s no need for you, at least not temporarily with regards to Wenyan. You can continue working on the company if you wish.”
Shen Jingxiu’s eyes narrowed slightly, “What do you mean?”
“Because I’m already on it. It just so happens that Wenyan has been discharged from the hospital, and on my part, I’ve found some contacts for her, so she can pick and choose for herself soon.”
Shen Jingxiu fell silent for two seconds, then replied with a single word, “Fine.”
