"No," Damon said softly.

"What? Are you out of your mind, Damon? You brought a physician you're not sure of." He took a step closer to Damon, the air sizzled as he walked forward.

"I wouldn't dare make such a mistake, Sire. I am not certain of the physician. However, I am sure he knows what he needs to do. Yes, I didn't do any clarifications as I wasn't sure there was enough time for that still, I am certain he is a good enough physician. There was no hint of hesitancy when I asked only modesty."

Jael squinted at him, "Pray you're right. Neither of you will leave here intact if anything should happen to her."
