"Are you supposed to be moving around?" He asked with a raised brow.

"Yes," she lied.

Damon bent lower as he stared at her. Mauve felt herself shrink and she instinctively took a step backward. She has never felt uncomfortable in Damon's presence but she wouldn't say she was at ease either.

"Is that so?" He asked, his gray eyes darting around her face as he studied her intensely. 

He didn't look like he believed her. Of course, he didn't. She was literally shaking as she stood. Her legs could barely keep up with the fact that she has been on her feet for longer than she has in days.
