Chapter 265: 265. If You Could Leave

Sabrina closed the door to her room. Today was a fruitful day, she thought to herself and threw herself onto her bed. She didn't think she would have been able to converse for long with Mauve. However, considering how lonely she had seemed, it came as no surprise.

Sabrina was a little disappointed, she had hoped to get more information than what she already knew but that didn't happen. No matter how she poked, Mauve did not seem to have anything useful.

Even with this setback, she has established something more important than anything else, a friendship. She could see it in her eyes. There was still a bit of restraint most likely because Mauve was still suspicious of her but there was no denying that Mauve was starting to trust her.

As much as she badly wanted to know what Erick was hiding from her about the princess, she was willing to wait it out to find out. She knew better than anyone that there was no point rushing things. She needed to build a considerable amount of trust between them.

Sabrina jerked as a loud bang echoed in her room, someone was knocking loudly on her door. She frowned and sat upright. She looked at the door but didn't make any attempt to either approach or unlock the door.

The banging went on for a couple of seconds and then stopped abruptly. Sabrina waited, the suspense was eating at her but she was not curious about who was on the other side and the fact that they were banging like a maniac meant this was not a friendly visit and there was only one person she could think about. Erick. However, she didn't see him going as far as to knock on her door.

Barely three seconds after the banging stopped, Sabrina heard the handle turn and Mill burst into her room.
