Mauve stared at Mill through the mirror as the vampire brushed her hair. Mill's brows furrowed as she concentrated, pulling at the front of her hair which was neatly tied up in a ponytail, not even a strand of hair escaped from the clutches of the band. Mauve couldn't help but think that it must be painful.
"Mauve," she suddenly called.
"Yes," Mauve responded, her eyes adjusting so they could meet with Mill's eyes in the mirror
"What do you think? Is it too tight or is it tight enough?"
"It is alright," she replied.
"I can make it looser if that's preferable.'
"No, this is fine."
"Mauve," Mill called again.
"Okay, maybe a little looser," Mauve said, giving in to the slight twinge of pain she could feel in her scalp.
"I saw the way you winced," she replied.
