Mauve tried not to shed tears as she stomped to her room. She thought things had changed but she was still only allowed to do things he approved of. Their relationship would always remain like this, she taking orders from him.

She didn't need to go back but seeing him being adamant about it, made her a little stubborn. It wasn't even up for discussion. Didn't her feelings matter?

He wasn't willing to listen, she thought they were past this. She wasn't someone who just listened. She had thoughts and wants of her own. It didn't make sense that she only had to do what the other person wanted.

It wasn't really a big deal and to be honest, there was nothing to go home to even her eldest brother Malcolm wasn't enough to sweeten the deal.

He has been away from the castle for over a year now but their relationship wasn't strong enough for her to miss him or want to see him.

She pushed the door to her room a little loudly, causing Mill to jerk at the sound. "I am so sorry," she said immediately. "I didn't think anyone was here."

"It's fine," Mill said, eyeing her oddly. "We were just rounding up here."

She turned to the servants who had their hands full with the cloths. "Take everything to Yasmin, she will show you where to store them."

"Yes, ma." They said with a soft bow and head for the door.
