Mauve looked down the rooftop, she was leaning on the fence around the rooftop that prevented her from falling off the roof.

Mauve chuckled as she leaned on it. She was getting courageous, months ago she wouldn't even go near the edge.

She tried to look straight down but she couldn't see anything. It was too dark to see what was at the foot of the castle.

She could hear voices and she could tell vampires were around but couldn't really see them. They were currently working on the other side so that was expected.

Mauve pulled away from the edge and turned around to look at the garden. To think this was the last time she was going to see this scenery.

She shook her head, it was hard to think this was it. She still refused to believe she wouldn't be able to come back here but it was too late to think about that now.

She didn't really have any particular reason to come up here but she didn't want to be in her room. Mill was busy with the servants trying to pack, she didn't want to be in the way.

She touched the nearest plant, it was a shrub. Mauve rubbed the rough edges, she still didn't get around to trimming the flowers and plants that needed it.

There was no need for that now, she would be gone before this time tomorrow. She gave the garden one last look. She was proud of it.

In less than six months, she did have a functional garden. She wondered what would happen to it when she left. She could take a guess.
