Mauve got out of bed with determination in her eyes and a fierce look on her face. She had so much to do today, but there was no way she could back out of this.

She couldn't believe she had chosen to return to Jael. For several reasons, she has refused to dwell on this thought.

She let Maria dress her for breakfast. There was barely any conversation between them. Mauve was in no mood for casual conversation, and the maid could see that.

She exited her room in a long-sleeved dress and quickly made her way to the dining room. She would have to inform her father about her plan.

She wondered if she should include the vampires, but she decided against that and figured it was best to make it seem like she just decided to go back on her own without any external influence.

Mauve adjusted the sleeve of her clothes. It felt a bit tight. All she could wear comfortably were long-sleeved clothes that hid her scars. At least in Vampires Regions, no one flinched when they got a look at her scars.

Mauve blinked. She was really going back. It was almost unbelievable, and the intense feeling that this was a bad idea was even stronger than ever, but there were many things that needed clarification. If she never returned, she wouldn't be able to clear this up.

She walked into the dining room with her head high. Mauve didn't know if it was because she had somewhere to return to, but their stares didn't bother her one bit.

She didn't even bother greeting anyone as she took her seat. Most of the people at the table weren't anyone she conversed with. She was early.
