Chapter 59 - 59 59 Recognized
?Chapter 59: Chapter 59 Recognized Chapter 59: Chapter 59 Recognized The crowd all surged toward the entrance in front of the venue.
“Quick, quick, quick, line up on the side and stop people!”
The field leader hurriedly called the security guards over to form a human wall to block the fans.
The numerous police officers dispatched by the officials were also helping to maintain order.
Two lines of human walls kept the fans on the outside, leaving only a middle path for the guests to pass through.
The guests on the periphery of the crowd began to enter the venue.
They did not walk quickly, nor did they go straight inside; instead, they responded to the fans’ shouts as if walking on a red carpet.
When they encountered fans holding notebooks for autographs, they would also stop to sign for them.
The group of people walked and paused, gradually approaching the section where Wu Mu was standing.
Clearly, no one expected him, their former colleague, to be mingling in the crowd as a security guard.
So, no one really noticed him, including Mo Mo.
Mo Mo’s attention was entirely on the fans shouting her name.
“Mo Mo, Mo Mo, I love you! Give me an autograph!” Behind Wu Mu, a female fan of Mo Mo’s face turned red with excitement, desperately waving her autograph book, trying to get Mo Mo’s signature.
However, because there were several people in front of her, her flailing arm couldn’t reach through.
Jeez, to get this excited just for a star’s autograph.
Wu Mu inwardly clicked his tongue and casually took the autograph book from her hand to pass it to Mo Mo.
“Thank you,” Mo Mo responded subconsciously, looking down to sign.
After signing, she handed the book back to Wu Mu and continued walking forward.
However, after a few steps, she seemed to suddenly realize something and sharply turned her head, her gaze suspiciously fixed on Wu Mu.
Wu Mu felt a little amused inside. Teacher Mo Mo’s senses were really sharp. It was the same when she had a wrist guard before; she noticed anything slightly amiss right away.
He didn’t hide it, smiling and meeting Mo Mo’s eyes, and gave her a wink.
Mo Mo: “???”
Mo Mo was obviously instantly bewildered.
Teacher Wu Mu!?
Why was he here!?
And wearing a security guard uniform??
Mo Mo’s CPU almost got fried.
But smartly, she didn’t run over to ask right away; instead, she turned her head back and continued to walk forward.
Once all the guests were completely inside and the human walls were dissolved, Wu Mu once again requested to take a bathroom break to slack off, and, unsurprisingly, he saw a new WeChat message from Mo Mo on his phone.
Mo Mo: “[Cat shocked expression], Teacher Wu Mu, why are you outside!?”
Wu Mu: “I’m filming a show. In this episode, the stars have to work part-time jobs, and I drew the security guard role, so I came to apply to become one.”
Mo Mo seemed to be holding her phone, waiting for a reply.
As soon as Wu Mu’s message went out, Mo Mo sent him a string of ellipses in rapid response.
How could Teacher Wu Mu be so good at creating show effects!
To run to the company that banned him, making him drop out of the competition, to work as a security guard?
She could only say Teacher Wu Mu knew how to play the game.
Wu Mu: “Hahaha, just based on the expression on Teacher Mo Mo’s face just now, that’s enough to make it to the hot search. Don’t forget to ask our Director Lin for an appearance fee.”
Mo Mo: “[Spouting fire] Who would have thought Teacher Wu Mu, you would be outside, I thought I was seeing things at first!”
Mo Mo: “Are you guys filming our chat right now?”
Wu Mu: “We are filming. Do you want it cut out?”
Mo Mo: “No need for that, you can keep this part, but the previous chat can’t be used!”
The previous conversation?
Lin Qingyue looked at Wu Mu with a bit of a strange expression. Mo Mo even made a point to remind him, what had the two of them been chatting about privately?
She unconsciously thought of the chat records that talked about Wu Mu causing the ceiling to collapse.
Could it be that Wu Mu and Mo Mo were actually in a relationship?
She murmured to herself.
Wu Mu understood her look and said in an exasperated tone, “Don’t wrong me, my interactions with Teacher Mo Mo are completely innocent.”
Mo Mo seemed to realize that his words were ambiguous and quickly added, “There’s really nothing to hide, it just feels odd to have my chats with Teacher Wu Mu released to the public.”
The two chatted a bit more until Mo Mo was called away by the singer-songwriter show’s team to discuss the schedule.
Wu Mu continued to stand at his post.
At lunchtime, with some of the fans leaving the venue to eat, it was less crowded.
Taking advantage of this, the organizers hurriedly told the security guards to rotate for their meal break.
The meals weren’t great, just a few fried Spanish mackerels, some stir-fried bean sprouts, a bit of stir-fried cabbage, and a box of rice.
A glance told you that the venue’s organizers hadn’t put much thought into the security guards’ meals.
Wu Mu shook his head but didn’t mind; he wasn’t one of those pampered folks who could only eat the finest foods.
He began to wolf down his meal, but while he was eating, Mo Mo sent him another message.
Mo Mo: “Could Teacher Wu Mu come over to Gate 6?”
Mo Mo needed him for something?
Carrying his meal box, Wu Mu headed towards Gate 6 of the venue.
Gate 6 was at the back of the venue where entry was forbidden without a work permit, so there was not a soul in sight.
Outside Venue Gate 6, Wu Mu saw Mo Mo, but she wasn’t alone—her agent was there too.
During the closed filming at Star City Resort, there hadn’t been much need for an agent, so Wu Mu had only seen her a few times and hadn’t interacted much with her.
Mo Mo’s agent, named Wang Ping, was around her forties or fifties, dressed in business attire, wearing gold-rimmed glasses—a woman dressed typically as a traditional career professional.
She must have come with Mo Mo, but she didn’t approach them. Instead, she stood at a distance at the exit, waiting for Mo Mo.
In fact, she felt a bit curious. Mo Mo was coming out now, with the contest starting in just a few hours.
As if waiting for someone?
Who would she come out to meet at this time?
When she saw Wu Mu, dressed in a security uniform and wearing a mask, Wang Ping didn’t pay much attention. She glanced at him and moved on, thinking he was just a regular security guard.
But while she was thinking this, her top celebrity, the legendary little Heavenly Queen Mo Mo, cheerfully waved at the security guard.
Ah?
What’s going on?
Wang Ping was undoubtedly a bit stunned.
A legendary little Heavenly Queen getting involved with a security guard?
And by her looks, the relationship was out of the ordinary.
Wang Ping resisted the urge to eavesdrop. She decided to wait for Mo Mo to finish and then ask her what was going on!
…
Mo Mo and Wu Mu.
Seeing Wu Mu coming over, Mo Mo waved happily, “Teacher Wu Mu, over here, over here.”
When Wu Mu approached, she looked at him with surprise, “It’s the first time I’ve seen you dressed in this style, Teacher Wu Mu. It feels completely different from usual.”
Wu Mu chuckled, “How about that, you wouldn’t have recognized me, would you?”
Mo Mo nodded, “Yeah, it’s a bit hard to tell.”
With Wu Mu wearing a mask and tilting his head down, his face was almost entirely hidden by the security cap. It was very hard to identify him unless someone was staring intently.
