Continental Calendar 3582nd year.
Early morning, seven o’clock.
At the heart of the Magical Beast Forest in the southern part of the Yarran Continent, deep within the Dragon Mountain Range, lies Dragon Mountain.
The quiet Dragon Mountain suddenly echoes with the sound of flapping wings.
More than ten multi-colored dragons quickly rise from the mountain, circling back and forth in its skies.
A few minutes later, a golden dragon ascends slowly, surrounded by other dragons in the sky, against the rising sun.
It hovers high in the sky.
The golden dragon’s scales are dense and glossy, glistening in the sunlight, casting a radiant glare that makes the morning sun seem dull in comparison.
The other dragons cease their circling, hovering around the golden dragon, lowering their heads in respect.
The golden dragon’s eyes sweep across Dragon Mountain, the Dragon Mountain Range where it has lived for many years, and the Magical Beast Forest.
Finally, it turns its gaze northeast and lets out a dragon roar.
The dragon’s roar echoes far into the sky.
In the distance, some flying magical beasts who live in the forest and are powerful enough to rule over it, quickly descend at the sound, hiding within the forest.
With trembling bodies trembling from fear, they express their respect to the most powerful race of the Yarran Continent.
These formidable predators of the Magical Beast Forest do not manage to divert the golden dragon’s gaze.
The golden dragon continues to gaze northeast.
After a moment of pause following the dragon roar, it spreads its wings and takes off, its explosive streamlined body transforming into a golden light that heads northeast.
The other dragons continue to hover in the air, watching as the golden dragon shrinks into the distance until it is completely out of sight.
Only then do they roar and fly back to their nests within Dragon Mountain.
The Yarran Continent, Dragon Mountain within the Magical Beast Forest, one of the three most feared places by the intelligent beings of Yarran, reverts back to its usual silence and tranquility.
But as the Guardians of the Yarran world, the dragons, after disappearing for a century, once again appearing before the eyes of the intelligent beings, bring an oppressive quiet reminiscent of the calm before a storm.
In the Yarran Continent, the Drakes, as the guardians of the world, have existed on the Yarran Continent for tens of thousands of years, dating back to the First Epoch civilization, according to known historical records.
It is said that they existed as guardians even before the First Epoch and even at the beginning of Creation by the Creator.
For Fourth Epoch civilization, which is quickly isolated from the world by world forces after the gods have left and only faith and divine power can pass through world barriers, the Drakes are almost invincible.
Although the number of dragons has never exceeded 500, even the weakest dragon possesses an average battle strength of Legendary Rank, and it’s very common for a healthy young dragon to have Demigod Rank strength.
As for fighting dragons recorded in legends throughout the history of the Fourth Epoch, these creatures are believed to possess almost godlike power.
Whether this is true, no one knows.

Night, twenty-two o’clock.
“Shh, shh, shh,” faint footstep noises can be heard from outside the entrance to the valley, slowly approaching.
Kyle crosses his arms over his chest, watching the figure approach strictly.
The figure is cloaked in a deep grey mantle, hood over the head, shadow obscuring the face, only a pair of eyes, even in the darkness, still flicker with a golden light
“Lady Mina?” Kyle puts his arms down only when the figure is in front of him, asking tentatively.
The figure under the hood gives a slow nod, the star-shaped pupils in the golden eyes scanning over Kyle.
In a deep voice, slightly accented Common, she says, “A most excellent song, especially that last part.”
“Haha”, Kyle chuckles lightly, bows with a hand to his chest in a gentleman’s salute, “Thank you, your praise is my honor.
Please follow me, everyone’s there.”
“Are these the people you invited?
Have they all arrived?” On the way back to the fire pit, Mina turns her head to ask.
“Yes, I didn’t invite the Sea Race and the lizardmen.
It’s inconvenient for them to come to the desert.
And there are some whose unfortunate deaths here would cause quite a stir, so I didn’t invite them either.
As for those present now, even if they fell here, it wouldn’t bring about much change to the world’s state,” Kyle replies.
By this point in the conversation, the two have returned to the fire pit.
Seeing everyone’s gaze focused on them, Kyle claps his hands lightly, “Everyone has arrived, it’s my honor to have you all here on such short notice.
We have old friends among us, and also new faces.
Everyone may not know each other, I will give a quick introduction for us to get acquainted.
After all, in the coming days, we will be fighting side by side.”
“I am Kyle,” Kyle gives a slight bow, “From Neville, a Magic Swordsman.
I specialize in close combat with various swords and supplement with a bit of magic.”
