Chapter 109: Chapter 109: Why Are There Aliens?
Chapter 109: Chapter 109: Why Are There Aliens?
?
Qin Muye arrived at the Witch's cottage with Tian Qi and 50 Evangelical Spirit Monsters in tow. You've got to admit, it was quite well hidden, practically invisible to the average person. It seemed to be protected by some sort of illusion that jumbled human perception, so normally, to find the Witch, one had to use special methods or align their emotional frequency with hers to see through the deceptive magic.
However, Qin Muye was different; he had a Magic Shield. No illusion could penetrate the multiple layers of magic power that made up his protection.
If the illusion was like light, then Qin Muye's Magic Shield was the wall that blocked the illusions from entering his body.
Unless it was an environmental type of illusion or one so clever that it could bypass his Magic Shield, Qin Muye was generally immune to such tricks.
As for mental or spiritual types of illusions, they might be a possibility, but this particular illusion was clearly not of that kind.
Upon entering the Witch's cabin, he noticed it smelled quite bad and was incredibly dirty. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Combined with the scent of animal by- products and fermenting plants, the place could only be described as filthy.
"Master, it seems the person has left in a hurry," one of the Evangelical Spirit Monsters said after a quick examination.
"Can we catch up with them?" Qin Muye asked.
"We can't catch up. The other party has special hiding skills or magic; there are no traces to follow," the Spirit Monster replied.
Qin Muye nodded and surveyed the various arrangements inside the cabin, quickly spotting something very familiar.
A bug lying on its back.
He walked over, picked up the tail, and examined its appearance closely, cursing internally.
"Although the color is a bit off, I can still recognize this thing as a Facehugger, wait... isn't that meter-high fleshy egg an Alien Egg???"
Holding the Facehugger, Qin Muye turned towards the enormous fleshy egg nearby. At first, it didn't seem special, but combined with the Facehugger, it was almost like a magnified Alien Egg, only the corresponding color and patterns were slightly different from what he had seen in his memory.
"Where's the embryo? How come it's gone?" Qin Muye wondered as he looked at the dead Facehugger, its inside embryo missing.
"This is wrong, though; in a world teeming with Evil Spirits, why would there be a science fiction thing like a Facehugger?" Qin Muye was baffled.
After all, he had been dealing with Murderers, Evil Spirits, and urban legends lately, with perhaps a Witch thrown into the mix. The sudden appearance of a Facehugger was quite incongruous.
The style was clearly different now.
"Horror Universe, huh?"
Qin Muye remembered that this instance world was called the Horror Universe, not a ghostly universe. Indeed, the presence of an Alien in reality would be truly horrifying.
"It wouldn't be that the Alien embryo has implanted itself into the Witch, would it? Damn, if an Alien Queen with extraordinary power emerges, wouldn't that be trouble."
"Hold on, if an Alien has appeared, then wouldn't it be normal if an Iron Blood Warrior or an Engineer showed up next?"
He felt that sometimes, plot-driven instances were quite good. Although they were restricted by rules, at least nothing too outlandish would happen.
Though the Iron Blood Warrior and the Engineer were not particularly outstanding in terms of technology in the movies, a civilization capable of space travel and possessing various advanced technologies couldn't possibly only have the abilities shown in the movies. To Qin Muye, they would constitute a dimensionally reductive threat.
"The maximum energy level of this Horror Universe is definitely higher than that of the Magic Continent."
He then started to go through the things the Witch had left behind in her haste to escape, finding that most of them seemed to relate to Hell.
"A Different Plane called Hell, huh?"
This world was called a Cosmic instance, so the universe was the main setting, unlike the Plane-based settings familiar to Qin Muye on the Magic Continent.
"Interesting, Hellish power from a Different Plane full of Demons and Spirits, perfect for taking back and studying."
Qin Muye also realized what those dangerous auras were they were the power of Hell.
"Move all the stuff back, and then return to reinforce the church. We've got a tough fight ahead," Qin Muye didn't know if an Iron Blood Warrior would come, but he was sure that the Witch was harboring an Alien.
Once the Alien hatched, the consequences, naturally, would be unimaginable.
As for capturing them now? Where and how would he go about doing that?
Is he really expected to run all over the mountains and plains?
That would be a waste of time, he could just talk to the town mayor later and let the mayor and the forces behind him deal with it.
Or is he really supposed to handle everything himself?
To tell the truth, Qin Muye didn't quite believe that the location of the witch's cottage was obtained by the mayor from some old-timers.
Akman Town wasn't his territory, and if Qin Muye were truly pushed to his limits, he could just perform a Crimson Invasion to scour the land, causing all Hell Power to decay and assimilate into crimson. If it were purely an alien world, the Crimson Invasion wouldn't work, and he would have to resort to nuclear weapons. Unfortunately, this world wasn't just a simple science fiction world.
There were also Hell, demons, and other such beings.
So the Crimson Invasion could completely transform Hell Power.
He was quite envious. However, compared to the alien creatures, if he could get his hands on
an Engineer or an Iron Blood Warrior, that would be even better.
He just didn't know if he would encounter these extraterrestrial civilizations.
'I hope my Event Physique can be a bit more effective, bringing not only aliens but also Iron Blood Warriors and Engineers along.'
For Qin Muye now, herding one sheep was the same as herding a flock.
He surmised that underneath his church, there might be a sealing of a Hell entrance, otherwise, he couldn't explain why so many evil spirits and murderers appeared in Akman
Town.
The Hell Power leaking out had created so many horrific events.
'If there's a Hell, I wonder if there's a Heaven too?'
Qin Muye felt that even if there were a Heaven, it would probably be a horrifying version, possibly even home to Hell Preachers like Pinhead.
These weren't the matters Qin Muye should be pondering. After all, pondering them wouldn't lead to any results. He might as well focus on the present. With the witch's contribution of numerous books and materials, Qin Muye would be able to gain deeper knowledge of Hell, witchcraft, and the entire system of Hell Power.
Later on, he planned to modify the Crimson Invasion to make it more targeted at decaying and assimilating Hell Power, then the explosion would definitely be more satisfying. And why blow up Hell? The entrance was under his own church after all. It wouldn't do not to
take precautions.
Qin Muye also speculated that the witch might have performed some witchcraft modifications on the aliens, as can be seen from the Hell Power on the alien eggs and facehuggers. There were even patterns formed on the skin, which suggested that a Hell Alien might very well be
born.
Therefore, Qin Muye contemplated whether to bring over Demon Blood and the Frenzy Blood Spirit Monster; otherwise, with the aliens' efficiency in producing Bursting Soldiers, it wouldn't be long before aliens were rampant everywhere, especially those enhanced with Hell Power and the absorption of various monsters and demons.
Around Akman Town, many such terrifying creatures were hidden.
The missing persons posters for tourists each year were almost half a person tall.
Soon, everything inside the witch's cottage was packed up by the Evangelical Spirit Monsters;
all these items were Qin Muye's learning resources and research materials, which naturally couldn't be overlooked.
The packages, large and small, were carried back to Akman Town.
The mayor had been waiting at the church entrance for a long time. Seeing the large and small packages carried by the Evangelical Spirit Monsters behind Qin Muye, he was momentarily startled but soon understood, "Father Andrew, it seems you have dealt with the witch." "I'm sorry, Mr. Mayor, but the witch had escaped before we arrived, and what's more, she has become a vessel for a demon..."
Qin Muye briefly introduced the situation with the alien creatures, which truly flabbergasted the mayor. "So, Mr. Mayor, you need to be prepared," Qin Muye said, without clarifying what preparation was needed, whether for reinforcement or evacuation, leaving his advice quite
vague.
"Thank you for your warning, Father Andrew, I will be ready," the mayor replied without specifying either, simply stating he would be prepared.
As for what preparation, Qin Muye had no idea. He wasn't a mind reader, and after all, it wasn't a grand affair, just two enigmatic people trying to outwit each other.
In any case, when the time came, as long as the misfortune and bad luck didn't fall on him, he would be fine. He had a Super-Space Transmission Channel. If things really fell apart, he could just return to his territory on the Magic Continent. It's not like the aliens could chase
him through time and space, right? Qin Muye felt utterly fearless.
