Chapter 172: Chapter 174: It Seems Your Plan is a Bit… Arrogant

“I never realized it before, but now I find Artificial Humans truly awkward. Can the bloodline of the Titan Divine Race really refine my sense of aesthetics?”

Although this Artificial Human beauty, even judged by Qin Muye’s aesthetic standards—which had been tormented by the four evil techniques—was basically a face that could garner a barrage of rockets just by calling someone ‘brother’, she now seemed off to him, almost like a counterfeit.

“Did my artistic senses get enhanced? This is just holding me back.”

He casually destroyed the Artificial Human. He definitely hadn’t felt this way before, but now he did, and it was surely the mischief of the innate inclinations inherent in the Titan Divine Race’s bloodline.

So, these biotechnologically adjusted beauties and hunks probably won’t catch the eyes of the divines—the originals are preferred, not the modified ones.

Even someone with low standards like Qin Muye can’t stand it, let alone these divines.

He scratched his head, without these gimmicks, he couldn’t just give money—that needed to be spendable.

Plus, he was short on money too. If he wasn’t, why would he come here to be Hades’ son? He could make Hades call him ‘Dad’.

“Dionysus, how’s it going?”

It seemed like she heard some noise, so the Queen of the Underworld, Persephone, came over and also saw a mess.

“It’s okay if it failed; we can still think of other methods.” She comforted him.

“The seduction plan failed. My Artificial Humans might fool mortals, but to the divines, they just feel entirely off; after all, they are not naturally born but merely assembled.”

“Wealth… I don’t have any myself, so let’s forget that. Tying interests will probably have to wait.”

Qin Muye leisurely cleaned up his laboratory, which wasn’t located in the Elysian Fields but directly in the Netherworld Palace.

“I think we’re fine as is, don’t you think so?” Persephone spoke up. She never understood Qin Muye’s urgency.

Qin Muye rolled his eyes. She might not be in a hurry, but he still had an Ancient God to revive on his side, and he wasn’t sure if he could handle it.

“A man with no foresight will surely have immediate worries. Many issues are far more complex than what you, Your Majesty Queen of the Underworld, imagine,” Qin Muye said.

“Why don’t you want to call me ‘mother’?” Persephone felt Qin Muye still hadn’t let go.

“That involves some rather strange settings, let’s not talk about that. Do we have any rights to mobilize the souls of the dead? If there’s any wear and tear during the summoning, won’t that get us in trouble?” Qin Muye swiftly changed the subject.

“How many do you need? If the number is too large, it might displease Zeus,” Persephone said, as this wasn’t a big deal for her.

“Just displeased? Nothing else?”

Qin Muye pressed on.

“The supreme ruler of the Netherworld is Hades, and although I hate to admit it, Hades is known as the ‘Zeus of the Underworld,'” Persephone explained with some reluctance.

After all, in the eyes of others, it’s an honorific; yet in Hades’ eyes, it’s a great disgrace.

“So, if I use the King of the Underworld’s name to levy a large number of dead souls for my work, it will at most cause displeasure and not pose any real threat to me?” Qin Muye stroked his chin, thinking there might be some potential here.

Persephone looked dazed; she thought Qin Muye was about to perform experiments that sounded more like torture. If it was really just work, then essentially, there would be no issue.

“That’s no problem, but it can only be the tormented souls from Tartarus, the Place of Suffering.”

“But what exactly do you want them to do? Although they need to undergo torment as their penance, it doesn’t mean they can be freely wasted,” Persephone immediately agreed but also cautioned.

“Of course, it’s to let them work on assembly lines, screwing bolts, boiling water for me, creating stones,” Qin Muye straightforwardly replied.

He had also figured out a bit about the workings of the Netherworld. While Hades didn’t often intervene in many matters, if there were orders, all the gods of the Netherworld would adhere to them without resistance.

Just like the situation with Zeus.

He now understood the true value of the title ‘King of the Underworld’. In the Netherworld, Hades was essentially an unrestrained Zeus; he might not exercise his powers, but that didn’t mean he had none.

“???” Persephone was thoroughly confused and didn’t understand at all what Qin Muye was talking about.

“I specifically wanted to ask about how big the Netherworld is. If I want to engage in mining, logging, and such, are there any limitations? Or is there a loophole to travel to the Mortal World stealthily and exploit those resources?”

This question sounded like something a lawless rogue from next door would ask, never sticking to the straight path.

Listening to this, the Queen of the Underworld’s eyes widened in shock. What kind of upbringing had this man endured to harbor such malevolent intents, always looking for loopholes and stealthy exploits with no sign of honest intentions?

“This… might be something Lord Hades knows,” the Queen of the Underworld replied, looking a bit embarrassed. Her authority was mostly over aspects of the Netherworld, death, harvest, and seeds, and she didn’t know much about mining rights or secret routes to the Mortal World.

She hadn’t expected Qin Muye to be so wildly undisciplined, not even considering playing by the rules, always thinking about freeloading.

Having understood Qin Muye’s ideas, she also realized that if he were to carry them out in the Netherworld, it might wreak havoc that even Hades wouldn’t be able to handle. Therefore, only the Mortal World and the Ocean would suffer the consequences.

“I think you should restrain yourself a bit, Dionysus.”

“If you exploit the mines extensively, it would be a desecration to Gaia Mother Goddess.”

What the Queen of the Underworld meant was it would offend Gaia.

“Gaia is kind of like my grandmother, right? Surely taking a little something wouldn’t get me killed…” Qin Muye said, feeling a bit guilty.

Taking a little truly wasn’t a big deal, but if he went ahead with his plans, while death might be unlikely, punishment was definitely forthcoming.

It was tough enough to manage a 24/7 bone-breaking labor factory using the souls of the dead; not being able to source local materials just made it harder.

He didn’t exactly lack a processing factory, rather, he was interested in the resources.

After all, the amount of Skeleton Soldiers he managed round-the-clock, year-round was substantial; a few extra workers wouldn’t make much difference.

In this world, stealth logging and mining were not easy jobs, with countless Divine beings each having their own territories and boundaries.

However, the Netherworld was severely lacking in this department, not many Divine beings around.

The majority of the area was rugged badlands, with Divine beings in scarce numbers, yet each of them was a top-tier figure.

They might be a part of the world’s order, struggling financially, but their authority was immensely powerful nonetheless.

If it were a nice place, Hades wouldn’t always be thinking of reclaiming it; neither would Poseidon and Zeus leave such a good place to others.

“Looks like I’ll need to tread more carefully,” Qin Muye pondered and finally thought of the Horror Universe as a potential problem area, using this fairy tale world like a strong leg for support.

“It seems your plan is a bit…brazen,” Persephone paused, and then squeezed out the word ‘brazen.’

Previously, Qin Muye had mentioned that if his plan were implemented, he would get chopped by Gaia Mother Goddess, and perhaps it was said in jest, but it definitely wasn’t a simple plan.

“Hmm, it’s not brazen at all after the cutbacks, and there’s one more thing, I need to figure out a way to explain,” Qin Muye mused over how to explain positioning a statue of either the Queen of the Underworld or Hades in his territory as a guardian, but that was a tricky thing to explain.

So, he must concoct a good story, as getting caught would probably lead to trouble.

Moreover, he also needed to explain the matter of world-hopping in the future, as he couldn’t say he’d stay in this world forever; his core was the territory, not the fairy tale Netherworld.

However, the good thing was that his current identity was genuine.

If it were an ordinary person, the skill and identity brought by the valiant prince would be a one-off, unable to return.

But Qin Muye was different, he could come back, so in effect, he had already replaced this valiant prince. Together with the corroborating Bloodline and other evidence, there was nothing to nitpick.

Therefore, all he needed was to tweak the sequence a little.

Loopholes were definitely there, but the truth was always more stable than lies.

As for revealing himself as the Lord? To put it bluntly, it was only a matter of time and couldn’t be hidden for too long, especially since time would synchronize between the two worlds upon his next visit.

So, hiding it was impossible; therefore, it had to be made public, which was advantageous as encountering danger meant he could momentarily open a Super Space-Time Transmission Channel directly in the Netherworld Palace for assistance.

Furthermore, if he could increase the favorability of other Titan Divine Race members later, and if he couldn’t beat an enemy, he could call from siblings to grandparents to save the day.
