Chapter 205: Chapter 207: Floating City, Take Off!
“Activate Energy Unit No.1.”
“Connect all Magic Network channels.”
“Mysterious Locks ready…”
“Floating City, ascend!”
Following the last command, the massive Floating City roared as it rose into the sky.
The enormous Hell transformed into Mysterious Locks enveloped the entire Floating City, shielding it from various external winds and energy forces.
Qin Muye maneuvered the entire Floating City away, not only floating it in midair but also utilizing Hell to enter spatial rifts, creating a Different Plane. In other words, unless Qin Muye actively opened it or needed to move, finding his Floating City would be quite a challenge without a profound understanding of space.
Even if one found it, entering would be another matter entirely.
[Territory: Different Plane Floating City]
[Rank: 4]
[Advance: 50,000,000 Gold Coins, 5,000,000 units of Minerals, 5,000,000 units of Wood, 500,000 units of gemstones, 500,000 units of Crystals, 500,000 units of Sulfur, 500,000 units of Mercury, 10,000,000 units of Reserve Magic Power]
[Construction: Reach 500 types of common buildings (1016/500), 50 types of rare buildings (63/50), and 10 types of special buildings (5/10); Level up all buildings to LV5 (4/5)]
[Hero: All heroes reach Level 40 (1/1)]
[Resources: Average daily output of ordinary Resources to reach 100,000 (800,000/100,000)]
[Requirement: Lord reaches LV40]
Qin Muye beheld the vast changes in his territory. Setting aside the transition from a Mage Tower to a Different Plane Floating City, the conditions for advancement had also undergone tremendous changes.
The required resources had quintupled, and now included an additional 10 million units of Reserve Magic Power. That wasn’t a problem; the Energy Room was currently generating a hundred million units of reserve energy daily, while daily maintenance alone required ten million units to sustain the enormous Floating City.
His Floating City was more than just a city in the sky; it was a Different Plane Floating City, effectively a Plane on its own. Being integrated into the construction of the Floating City meant that expenses were naturally covered by it.
“The other changes are manageable, but why are there more types of special buildings now, and the building levels… can’t even be upgraded now?”
“However, it makes sense when you think about it. As the territory grows stronger, the resources needed for advancement can’t remain unchanged.”
Qin Muye couldn’t help but think of the True Dragon Emperor’s Holy Dragon Nest; probably even the advancement difficulty for that didn’t compare to his Different Plane Floating City.
After all, he had invested heavily in it.
As for the expanse of Hell, Qin Muye no longer worried about not keeping pace with the Floating City. All of that was already accounted for; an estimated five million units of the reserved magic power would likely be used to expand and transform into the Mysterious Locks, while the remaining five million would naturally serve to expand the area of the Floating City.
“Finally succeeded. Now fleeing will be much more convenient.”
Qin Muye had now integrated the Super Space-Time Transmission Channel into the Floating City. From now on, it wouldn’t just be him entering an instance, but he could bring the entire Floating City along.
“This makes the Hell Projection useful now.”
Hell Projection could project the Clan of Hell from within when Qin Muye encountered enemies. Previously, it was of little use since barely anyone was in his Ruby Hell.
But now it was different. Hell had become a Different Plane Mysterious Lock. That meant even if Qin Muye was alone, he wouldn’t have to worry about enemies; he could create as many projections from the Spirit Monsters within the Floating City as needed.
It had finally become truly useful, which Qin Muye had anticipated when he made the exchange earlier.
Of course, it wasn’t just the Hell Projection but also the newly obtained title, the Ruby King, that was the focal point.
[Title: Ruby King]
[Attribute]
[1. While in Hell, All Attributes + (Rank × 100%), immune to all negative effects]
[2. During battle, can release Hell Projection; while in Hell Projection, allies’ All Attributes +50%, negative effects -50%; enemies’ All Attributes -50%, negative effects +50%; consumption: per second (Rank × 1000) Magic Power]
[3. All heroes in Hell get an additional (Rank × 10%) Experience Points]
This is a title purely for support, and the three innate attributes are quite good, especially the last one, which is excellent for power-leveling stay-at-home heroes.
Currently, they can gain an extra 40% of experience, which may not be much, but Qin Muye has plenty of energy buildings for boosting experience.
After the completion of the Floating City, it might be difficult to reach level 40 in one day, but over three days, level 40 could still be achieved while lying down.
Qin Muye had already reached level 40 a while ago; he just hadn’t bothered with the advancement quests since the requirements were somewhat excessive.
Because they require a fifth-rank domain, and considering the Floating City, advancing it to rank five would probably be quite difficult.
Moreover, with the Floating City, Qin Muye was no longer confined to a single place.
“Master, we may begin the sweeping plan now!” Black Hand stood to one side, speaking respectfully.
The sweeping plan was specifically against the corruption, minions, and relics that arose from the Ancient God Revival.
What Qin Muye had installed on his Floating City wasn’t just bows and arrows. It was alien weapons decoded from the Iron Blood warrior ships, further improved upon and then assembled into Alchemy Cannons. A single blast from these and most forces couldn’t withstand the onslaught.
Plus, it had the added benefit of earning experience and points.
Previously, since his domain couldn’t move, Qin Muye didn’t have much desire, but now he could send his subordinates to engage in operations directly with the Floating City; most lords didn’t have this kind of presence.
Qin Muye was now self-sufficient. Even if cut off from all supplies and thrown into a magicless world, he could operate without any harm.
After all, he used multiple energy systems, coupled with non-scientific resource buildings; basically, food and drink weren’t a concern anymore.
Theoretically, if he found a place to hunker down for a thousand or ten thousand years and then made a comeback… he might get killed on the spot by other lords.
If it were a matter of outlasting the native residents, there wouldn’t be a problem, but when it came to a contest of endurance with a lord, it was definitely not worth it. The development speed of a lord was unbelievably fast.
From when he arrived in this world to his present state of development, it would have taken the natives the efforts of six generations to reach the same level of power, yet Qin Muye achieved it in less than two years.
And lords like the True Dragon Emperor were even more exaggerated, with divinities being trampled under their feet.
“At first glance, it seems I can also trample these rank six divinities, even though I’m only rank four, but my domain is strong.”
A salvo of Alchemy Interstellar Cannons, not to mention the divine, would punch a hole in their Divine Country. Aside from that, there were a variety of weapons like the Crimson Fission Bomb, Hell Fusion Cannon, Anti-Magic Field Areas, spatial displacement cutting, and so on. Once under full firepower coverage, Qin Muye was confident that these divinities wouldn’t last three minutes.
If they did survive, then Qin Muye would just cover them for another ten minutes.
There were plenty of weapons combining modern technology, Iron Blood Civilization techniques, and magic alchemy. And Qin Muye wasn’t timid about landings, boarding actions, or aerial combat, either. There’s no need to mention the various types of fighters; let’s talk about the Stone Statue Ghost Armor equipped on every Spirit Monster, each a piece of Advanced Treasure with Magic Immunity as a basic feature. Going up to the heavens or diving into water was a minor issue; they could even survive in extreme environments, and with many attribute boosters and adaptabilities, it wouldn’t be a problem to charge in the air with the cavalry.
Qin Muye had already begun developing Demon Statue Level Mecha as part of the patrol team.
Reliance on just Stone Ghost Level Armor for patrols wasn’t enough; after the subsequent development of the Titan Level Giant Structures to guard the Floating City, security would be even higher.
“I wonder if I can now confront people like the True Dragon Emperor?”
“Probably not likely, as although the Dragon Clan troop types are inferior in skills compared to the Spirit Monsters, their Attributes are strong enough to be overwhelming.”
“And their foundations are much deeper than mine.”
Qin Muye felt that if he wanted to flee, not one of them could catch him. He had developed a series of spatial functions using the Super-Space Transmission Channels as the core, which could carry his Floating City anywhere. He could even curl up in a spatial fissure and then leap through space, but moving after entering a spatial fissure cost a lot of energy.
Thus, he generally did not move through spatial fissures, preferring evasion.
However, he probably couldn’t match the direct confrontation capability of the top five in the rankings. Survival was top-notch, whether it be a Different Plane Mysterious Lock or Super-Space Transmission.
“Let’s mix up some points first, find some powerful Ancient God’s Minions, and see if we can draw an instance scroll. After that, we’ll hit the instance.”
For the future, Qin Muye plans to take what he can by force and trade for what he can’t. Relying on trade for resources was too slow. Without the power, he would do so, but with the power, why go through the hassle?
The benefits of the long term are very good, but if he could loot all of the long-term benefits in one go, wouldn’t that save him a bunch of time and effort?
