Chapter 94: Chapter 94: Want to Test the 'Sword'? Then have at it!
?
Two Champion Level Spirit Monsters, one having used a Merchant Reclassification Certificate to become an Articulate Speaker, while the other used a Shepherd's to become a Beast Taming Master.
Their Attributes were related, and Qin Muye glanced at them once, belonged to rare Professions, one as a Merchant, and the other managing a ranch, which was quite good.
The matter of the 'sword' known as the Crimson Invasion also started to ferment gradually, but unfortunately, Qin Muye did not have any channels for external news, and basically knew nothing about what was happening outside.
Nevertheless, he couldn't be bothered to find out. There were doubters and mockers, but only the upper echelons of various forces were stirring in the dark.
Those who had never seen it didn't care much, whereas those who had witnessed it were thinking about how to get their hands on it.
The source of it all, Qin Muye's territory and Red Wind Plain, remained tranquil and unaffected.
When you think about it, it's normal. Why provoke someone who dares to turn themselves into a bomb, someone who has made it clear that they want to live a peaceful life, and force them into a corner?
Five days had passed in a flash, during which Qin Muye had been studying the Crimson Power within his body.
It must be said that, as the Crimson Ancestor, his research was relatively straightforward, for instance, his Crimson Disease could act as armor for him.
Through the content recorded in the Book of the Gospel, Qin Muye could perform a degree of Crimson Transformation, which was somewhat lackluster; currently, at most, he could cause a layer of Crimson Crystals to appear on his skin, which he turned into a spell called Crimson Armor. The strength was satisfactory, and it could be upgraded in the future.
He discovered that Crimson Magic had three forms. The first was like Magic Divine Arrow and Crimson Tide, traditional energy forms, most Elemental Magic is actually of this form, using Magic Power as the core to achieve various miraculous effects.
The second form was a crystalline state, symbolized by the Crimson Disease and the Crimson Crystals he had condensed, which was a unique state to the Crimson.
The last one was the flesh and blood state, which was the most bizarre and under normal circumstances, neither the Crimson nor any other Element involved flesh and blood. This was because Qin Muye used the Book of the Gospel to fuse with the Crimson Source for his transformation.
This was also the origin of the Magic Crimson Armor, allowing Qin Muye to continually transform his body between flesh and Crimson Crystals.
Even due to the existence of this state, he pondered whether he could include it in the first state, that is, the energy form.
This was one of his current research directions, although it was quite challenging, as after the Crimson Element transformed into Crimson Magic Power, it was stored in the mind like regular Magic Power, with the latter two states only temporarily existing within the body. That being said, there wasn't a lack of solutions. For instance, Combat Professions like warriors and Archers use Magic Power for Body Refining, to strengthen themselves.
Such Cultivation Methods are generally used only by native Heroes; Lords or native Heroes who ally with Lords level up by hunting monsters. This type of Cultivation Method requires painstaking effort and depends a lot on talent.
"I vaguely remember I had National Martial Arts, didn't I?" Qin Muye recalled this training method. In terms of strength, the Combat Profession Cultivation Methods of the Magic Continent couldn't compare to National Martial Arts, as magic assistance doesn't necessarily equate to transformation efficiency.
After mulling it over, he then discarded it. Compared to Combat Profession Cultivation Methods, it had minor advantages, but those small benefits weren't enough to get Qin Muye to practice them.
The disparity in energy levels across worlds was not something that could be bridged easily. Then, thinking of the Magic Continent's Combat Profession Cultivation Methods, Qin Muye gave that up too. It was too troublesome, better to wait until his study and research were more in-depth and then modify himself.
Others may undergo rigorous training for ten years, but with one operation on the surgery table, he could transform himself and match ten years of arduous training.
In Qin Muye's understanding, Cultivation is nothing more than energy and body, with perhaps the addition of mind or soul, nothing that can't be solved.
From the very beginning, he had proven that if he had followed the normal monster hunting and leveling or Cultivation method like other Lords, he was sure to meet a bleak end.
"Master, a Mage from the Silver Star Alliance has come to visit. Lord Blackhand is currently entertaining the guest and sent me to inform you," reported a Deacon Spirit Monster outside Qin Muye's laboratory.
"Mm, I see, it's nothing but the Crimson Invasion they want. Tell Blackhand if he can handle it, do so, if not, we'll launch about ten Crimson Invasions at the Silver Star Alliance when the time comes," Qin Muye said casually.
Mages, well, those from other powers might be good people, but there's no need to be polite with Mages from the Silver Star Alliance.
"Yes, Master."
...
The Deacon Spirit Monster returned to the first floor of the Mage Tower. At this time, Black Hand was entertaining two mages, an elder and a youth.
The old mage squinted his eyes, engaging in conversation with Black Hand, his expression unreadable, but the young mage's countenance was tinged with impatience, and his look toward the Spirit Monster was one of disdain.
However, due to the old mage's presence, he didn't make it too obvious.
The Deacon Spirit Monster went straight to Black Hand's side and quietly conveyed Qin Muye's message.
"Sorry, my master is not available. It looks like I will have to discuss this matter with you," Black Hand dismissed with a wave of his hand, signaling that the Deacon Spirit Monster could
leave.
"How do you propose we proceed, Mr. Black Hand?" the old mage asked, his tone laced with a hint of dissatisfaction. In his eyes, Qin Muye was insulting him by making him speak with a
Spirit Monster.
He knew that beastly people were nothing more than slaves and playthings in the Silver Star
Alliance.
"The Silver Star Alliance wanting the technology of the Crimson Tide is no issue, but the problem is that your offer is too low," Black Hand stated bluntly.
"What does your side want then?" the old mage asked, his voice restrained.
Black Hand smiled, "Although I don't know why the Silver Star Alliance came first, nor do I care about who's behind you, there is a fixed price. Two-thirds of the Silver Star Alliance's wealth, including land and shops."
Once these words were spoken, the old mage was provoked into laughter, "A Spirit Monster, a wild mage who only has a Mage Tower, and you want two-thirds of the Silver Star Alliance's
wealth?"
"That's right. If you can produce it, the technology of the Crimson Tide can be yours, but if not, then please leave," Black Hand was undeterred.
"Fine, fine, fine, just don't regret this," the old mage said as he stood up to leave with a dark expression, determined to teach this little wild mage what real power meant upon his return. "Mage sir, please wait," Black Hand suddenly interjected.
This prompted the old mage to wonder, 'It seems he got scared after all. How grand can the scope of a wild mage who uses Spirit Monsters as subjects be?'
In their eyes, Qin Muye's power was no match for the True Dragon Emperor or Wang Junzi, let alone other lords. Although there were rumors about him possessing an ultimate weapon, a mere threat should be enough to handle it easily.
"What now? You want to beg for mercy?" the old mage asked expressionlessly.
"My master said if I can handle it, then I'll handle it. If not, then it's about presenting a gift to
the Silver Star Alliance," Black Hand replied.
"Surely the mage sir is unaware of what my master holds in his hands, right?"
This statement caused a jolt of anxiety in the old mage, aware that it probably had something
to do with a treasure created by the Red Wind Calamity on the Red Wind Plain.
So he suspected he might have been set up by someone within the Alliance, and there absolutely was something he didn't know.
"I am truly sorry, but my master needs an object to establish his power, and the Silver Star Alliance just happened to collide with us. I hope, mage sir, that you have a residence outside of the Silver Star Alliance headquarters, otherwise, you might find yourself homeless," Black Hand said with a tone of regret.
The old mage felt a shiver down his spine, interpreting the tone as signaling the destruction of the Silver Star Alliance headquarters.
Not long ago, the Silver Star Alliance had suffered suppression from the True Dragon Emperor. Although they were not annihilated, it cost them a substantial price to settle the
matter.
A Skeleton Soldier held a crimson Crystal Ball, radiating an aura that threatened to dissipate
his magic power.
"This... this... wait, we can discuss this, I..." the old mage finally realized, not only had he been duped, but so had the entire Silver Star Alliance.
Someone deliberately concealed information and led him to offend Qin Muye. He would be made an example to establish Qin Muye's power, as well as weakening the strength of the natives and witnessing just how terrifying the 'sword' Qin Muye had created could be.
"I'm sorry, mage sir, but there's nothing to discuss now. You should be thinking about finding a new home, not convincing me," said Black Hand calmly.
A portal swallowed the Skeleton Soldier and then disappeared. Through this brief and familiar scene, the old mage realized that on the other side was the Silver Star Alliance headquarters.
