Chapter 99: Chapter 99: The Elf Queen's Fourth Husband... Became a Treasure Box
?
"Such a huge dragon corpse? Where did it come from?"
Qin Muye looked at the Green Dragon corpse being moved into the Supplies Warehouse... or perhaps it was a Jade Dragon; it was certainly one of those colors.
This dragon corpse was much bigger than what he had bought from the Trading House, and it looked quite impressive.
"Master, it came from a bounty. After slaying it, we obtained a Golden Level Hero Treasure Chest. Would you like to open it now?" Black Hand asked respectfully.
"Yes, open it. Remember to cast a Luck Technique on yourself. By the way, how's the purchase of Garden Elves going?" Qin Muye said. Speaking of Luck, it was impossible not to mention Garden Elves, as after all, Spirit Monsters were transformed from them.
Currently, every Skill of a Spirit Monster can be improved, except for the Garden Luck Skill, which has never changed. To enhance it, they need a sample.
"Garden Elves are the favored children of the Elf God and are born with innate Luck; they're not so easy to catch. Otherwise, Spirit Monsters wouldn't have become obsolete to Mages," Black Hand implied that they were unable to make a purchase.
Spirit Monsters indeed had become obsolete, but recently, due to Qin Muye's influence, many Mages had restarted their Magic Transformations on Spirit Monsters. The awkward part was that the God of Elves had caught wind of this, so the protection over Garden Elves had become even more strict.
This was why it was so difficult to procure them.
Qin Muye felt a bit of regret about this and then asked, "Is there a way to ask the Elf Clan for a Garden Elf troop building?"
"It used to be possible, but now it might be difficult," Black Hand said.
"Why? What's the difference between now and before? Just because I didn't accept the Elf Clan's princess as a disciple, they hold a grudge against me?" Qin Muye was somewhat speechless; it shouldn't be so petty.
"It's not for that reason, but because this Jade Dragon... is the current husband of the Elf Queen."
The truth that Black Hand revealed shocked Qin Muye.
Qin Muye took a careful look at the body of the Jade Dragon and some strange thoughts surfaced in his mind.
"This doesn't seem like a good match..."
First of all, the magical creatures of this world don't have something like the ability to shapeshift, unless they are like Molier, who has drunk the blood from a Dragon Blood Bottle and, relying on a special Power, has changed species to freely transform between human and dragon; otherwise, a dragon is just a dragon.
After all, it's only a Rank 5 life form. Even beings that reach Rank 6 Divinity don't have the ability to transform their bodies, so how could a dragon possibly have this ability?
Only the Divine Seeds, which emerged from Great Mages, half goat-men gods, and some unknown fleshly Ancient Gods, have the special life form ability to alter their shape through Mimicry. Perhaps certain Treasures or skills or talents could manage it, but this Jade Dragon certainly does not have that capability.
But Qin Muye quickly realized, aside from considerations of aesthetics, interests, morals, and species compatibility, it could indeed be Platonic love, because the Elf Clan... aren't born normally; they are an Elemental Magic species that naturally comes into being, not through sexual reproduction, and they lack even the necessary reproductive organs.
Don't ask how Qin Muye knows; although he has never dissected an Elf, he has read about it in books.
So, there's no issue of sensuality, and the Elf Queen isn't with this Jade Dragon because 'he's well-endowed and skillful'.
But even so, this only makes the ensuing trouble more complicated; it might well become a deadly feud.
"Wait, you said 'current husband'? The Elf Queen had predecessors?" Qin Muye suddenly caught onto this detail.
"Yes, Master. The Elf Queen had three previous husbands. The first was a human who died of old age, the second was a Beastman who was killed, and the third was quite special, an Undead. It's said they broke up over incompatible ideals, which led to the current one," Black Hand explained.
"???"
He couldn't shake the feeling that the Elf Queen's tastes seemed to be getting more exotic. Humans were understandable, at least close to Elves. Beastmen were comprehensible too. But with Undead, it began to deviate, and now she's partnered with a Jade Dragon. "Alright then, have you prepared for the consequences?" Qin Muye asked, not overly concerned. What's done was done, and it was too late to change anything now. At worst, he could always unleash a Crimson Invasion on the Royal Capital of the Elf King; it wasn't too significant.
"Don't worry, Master. There are no follow-up issues; at most, the Elf Queen will resent us deeply, but she won't take action against us. After all, she has to consider the entire Elf Clan, not just personal desires."
"At most, it will be a bit troublesome. But now, we hold the initiative. Even if she wants to make life difficult for us, she won't be able to," Black Hand briefly analyzed the situation with Qin Muye, summarizing that his own power was significant and dark enough that the Elf Queen dared not use the authority of the Elf Clan for revenge.
The feeling of overpowering others was incredibly satisfying for Qin Muye. Although it's easy to offend people this way, with such a large power, any action could offend someone. Might as
well be ruthless to deter any potential retaliation.
To grow, it's inevitable to hinder some others.
"Okay then, what did we get from the Treasure Chest?" Qin Muye didn't get too hung up on it but was more interested in what Black Hand had obtained from opening the Treasure Chest. Hopefully, it wouldn't be just a consolation prize because of the name.
"Good news, we got a Random Dungeon Scroll, and it seems a bit different from the one you used last time."
[Random Dungeon Scroll (Epic)]

"No problem, as long as it's not a narrative-driven instance, it's all good." Qin Muye had a profound dislike for narrative dungeons. With his current character, he would never earnestly follow the storyline but would rather employ peculiar strategies.
"How's my Equipment doing? I'm going out after all. Although I have the Magic Source as a backup, it's better to be well-prepared," Qin Muye knew that going out meant being ready for
anything.
"Everything has been prepared for you. We've commissioned the Elves, Dwarves, and half- goat people among other significant tribes to forge a Mage Set for you, all made from Advanced Treasures. It should have arrived by now."
Black Hand said this and signaled for the Evangelical Spirit Monster on duty outside to
retrieve them.
Soon, the six pieces of Treasure were brought forth.

It does not add Knowledge, most of it is to increase Magic Value, Power, and Defensive Power, plus the suite attributes, meaning that Qin Muye just needs to withstand the damage.
If he can cast magic, that would be best.
If things really go south, he can just squat in a corner, relying on several layers of Magic Shields to save his life, and let his Spirit Monsters fight for him.
So the Power Attribute is added the least, while most of it is Defense and Magic Value. The Crimson Boots are somewhat modest, simply making Qin Muye run faster.
In fact, these six pieces are to make up the set attributes of three layers of Magic Shields. Yes,
the three effects of the Crimson Mage Set are three layers of Magic Shields of varying strengths, not just one layer.
And the core of the entire set is these three layers of Magic Shields; before the Shields are
broken, Qin Muye will not be harmed, and his Magic Value is exceedingly high, backed by the
Magic Source.
"Not bad at all, but how is the training of blacksmiths, tailors, and other life-based Professions going in our territory? I'd prefer to wear Advanced Treasures produced by our own land in the future," Qin Muye asked after equipping the six Advanced Treasures. "We're on track now. With the modern materials science and metallurgy knowledge you've brought back from Wen Country, it won't be long before all the standard Equipment on the Spirit Monsters in the territory will be upgraded," Black Hand replied. He was naturally aware of these affairs, as he was the one leading the entire territory's reform.
