This book is so good i cant begin to describe itwell written and well structuredSpoilerpacing is immaculate and there are lots of plot threads that form from the very beginning.side characters well fleshed out and all actions they characters make come across as natural and not forced at all. the first person pov is not annoying at all unlike how it usually is.the best thing about this novel is how real it feels due to the careful attention things like power scaling and character interactions have received. did not expect this level of quality from what is essentially a xianxia.This novel is true to its core as a xianxia but has its own distinctive twist that just makes it so much fun to read.Closest thing to a 10/10 ive come across

The two main characters we see have a really nice dynamic between them. Both feel like fleshed out individuals. They've got some quippy lines, some interesting motivations, and a good back-and-forth. Really, what more is there to like in our leads?

I would argue they might know too much for the reader's good. I read a few chapters and put it aside as a potential to read, but the amount of times I had to google a word because they're using the ancient greek term was kind of annoying. I get it, it's set in an ancient greek setting so of course they'll use those terms, but it was far more of a chore to read and actually fully understand what was going on than most other books. Not to mention some of them seemed entirely unnecessary. If it's something that doesn't have a direct translation or you'd actually lose something by translating it, fine. But maybe half of them seemed so arbitrary. Maybe I'm just so familiar with the terms in Asian novels I just don't notice the same problems in them.

It's rare to find a book that makes me laugh heartily in every single chapter more than once.The two main characters - Supervillain "Empress" and Superhero "Electra" play against each other perfectly in tune, producing comedy of pure gold just with their conversations.The narrative is solid, sprikled with quality side characters especially Filet Minion. Even though the protagonist is a supervillain, I find myself loving her actions even if she justifies them with evil, they are solidly good and rational moves filled with intelligence juxtipozed against a world filled with: ignorance, lack of science, corruption and injustice. There's a reason why this book has 3k readers in the first month of its release.I find myself coming back to this book again and again just because it's so god damn delicious. This has pretty bad translation, i think I’d rather read the manwha. I stopped at ch 10 so idk about the later chapters but the translator keeps mixing words up, like horse/foal and knife? I was so confused I had to reread it a few times. Also quotation marks are messed up, the words she and he are mixed together sometimes, the pov switches out of nowhere, and I have no idea who is talking many times. The plot is generic, which is fine by me as I came here knowing that but the translation makes it look like a clusterf#ck. If the translation gets better later on someone please let me know as I don’t mind persevering but as of now I’ll try something else

Good, only thing I personally don’t like the is the structure of the story. This is a dungeon core story, but the author is leaning hard into the horror movie elements by making each arc a separate “encounter” with a single group. To me, this forces the story to move far too slowly, and the brutal deaths get old after a while. That combination really helps to kill my interest, but the system and mechanics behind the story prop it up.My hope is that in a few arcs the story will speed up, after all, dungeon development is one of the best parts of a dungeon core story

The author is good at world-building but sucks ass at everything else.

Reading status - chapter 126This is pretty alright if you want to read some junk food. As the name suggests mc is reincarnated into a Japanese-style fantasy depressive game which is set in ancient Japan. The characters are pretty one-dimensional. The fight scenes are exciting as you're always engaged to see what happens next. The story feels also like a Shounen-esque type of one. The MC does get a power up in the future chapters at the end of epilogue 4 I think ? so it's evident that he wouldn't stay weak in the future as the story suggests in the beginning. And is worth a read. But tbh that's where the good qualities end. Apart from the somewhat coherent story and good fight scenes the story just feels tiring to read. There's no happiness or relaxation apart from 1 or 2 chapters you get before the start of a major arc. You would eventually just get tired and sick of it.The MC feels hollow. I can't connect with him or feels his emotions at the start. There's some what of detachment between the readers. Honestly this would've been rated better if it wasn't a harem or if the author just reduced the heroines to 4 to smth. It's difficult for me take the story seriously if its a harem. Go for it if you want.

I'm dropping this shit. The protagonist decided it was prudent to rescue a person who tried to kill him and is also a repeat child rapist who tried to rape a kid 30 minutes prior. Want to know his reasoning? He didn't want to scar a supporting character mentally or some shit. Guess what happened after? Got betrayed 20 secs later and nearly got him and the kid killed.If you want to defend this novel as being some good shit go ahead I won't stop you. The only way I'll read this again is if it's revealed he has some tampering with his mind and sanity.

I'd say read the first 10 chapters or so and you'll have a good idea if you'll like it or not. It's a pretty light story that focuses on characters' interactions. The characters are quite varied and enjoyable, but there are so many that a lot of them won't show up or be given much screen time for tens of chapters. Less of an issue if you binge read it like I did, but combine that with how inconsistently the author releases new chapters and a lot of people on RR mentioned not even being able to remember who some of these characters were. There were a few times even I had to google a name to remind myself who this really minor character that was just name dropped in a flashback was.The release rate is honestly the thing holding the story back the most. The story is surprisingly coherent considering the author will get free time or the will to write, knock out 5-10 chapters over a month or two, and then go pretty absent for weeks or months. This is a story that'll eventually just end up officially dropped, an indefinite hiatus, or rushed to an ending. That being said, this novel really is more about the journey along the way than reaching the destination, so even if it were to be dropped right here it would still be worth a read. Just don't bother getting too hung up on the plot.

Got to chapter-70, I really don't like the pacifism of the main character and thusly the monsters just doesn't go with my expectations of a dungeon mc, another thing I don't really like is the misunderstanding that have begun to happen, they put signs up everywhere warning people of things but just can't be bothered to make a sign at the beginning of the dungeon warning people that this is a pacisits dungeon and they don't like killing? And that the rooms gotta be solved with puzzles and shit and not combat? But nope apparently that's so much for Delta or My... It's a good read if you don't get triggered with misunderstandings but if you do it sucks cause that's what the comedy of this consists of, misunderstandings...

First off this is not my usual cup of tea. However, the biggest thing for me personally was the writing quality and worldbuilding were actually really good in my opinion. So good infact, that I was able to continue on with a couple chapters via google translate on the raws, and it was not a huge loss in readability. Only some localisations(names of people/items/places really) from the translator felt missed.There is the nationalism aspect, however, by now we have to be used to it, even if we hate it. Plus side however, is so far by chapter 133, it is not too bad, but it is thrown in your face. So far, there has not been direct racism, only digs at "cultural" differences. Mainly such as freedom of speech vs suppressed speech. (Obvious play at supporting the CCP there.) Otherwise, it has not been too cringy for me.Pacing however, I have to say is both slow and fast. Which keeps things interesting, because you dont know when or how the plot will thicken. There are many, many loops thrown at you. This makes it so that you know the Mc will "win" in the end as usual, but how and when, is never known until it happens. This has been refreshing for me, as opposed to most fantasy/cultivation based novels. the MC's "talent" seems fairly OP at first, but is quickly nerfed, with valid enough reasoning. Feeling less and less useful to the MC. The novel also is heavily invested in mental states, and emotions being shown and how they affect both the MC and others in the course, both in the "Weird" and "Real" worlds. Of the arcs currently, the first arc, was very good, and kept me glued. The 2nd arc, felt lackluster at first, however after some time, really grew and flipped the script. As for the 3rd arc, It has been decently paced with a merge of events from both worlds perspective, and from different characters as well. Which, can be a little hard to follow the transitions, but overall decent enough. For sure will keep it going, as long as it maintains at least half of the quality it has now.For me I would give this a solid 4.5/5 so far. Only based on the

This was a huge disappointment, the horror is lackluster at it's best, there's no thrill, no intensity, no satisfaction for completing anything. I read this for 50 some odd chapters because the first Weird World had some very interesting concepts that carried me through that Arc, but the dull headache and disappointment caught up with me at the beginning of the 2nd Arc.
This is better than what I thought at first. It seems braindead in the beginning, just like many other copy and paste Chinese novels out there but there’s much more in this. While it’s not that good in my eyes, it’s unexpectedly interesting at times, like for example the second dungeon which almost made me tear up at the end. Also his power seems really op but in the more recent chapters the enemy “hosts” learned how to limit the uses of his power so he has to use his wit and mental power to get through some things. So in conclusion, i recommend this if you’re bored and feeling like reading a mystery/ horror type novel where the mc needs to navigate through this hell like dungeon and find the mysteries through his intelligence to survive.
I'm at Chapter 106 now, after the end of the second Dungeon world. It's good so far. I don't really know what to call the invasion/infection of the Wierd World into reality, so will go for "infection" for this review - but it's not an ACTUAL infection, if that makes sense?The hints of nationalism in the first chapter appear worse than they actually are when you take into account the real world situation - 1 person per nation gets selected to complete the scenario. If they fail, then the Wierd World infects their country with something. If they do a normal clear, then it prevents their country from this infection temporarily. If someone does a perfect clear, it sounds like it will prevent infection for every country...I think.Given this reliance on 1 person to save everyone, the nationalism stuff makes more sense than being forced in, but it's still kinda annoying. In the 1st Dungeon World, the real world is basically useless. It is much more involved in the 2nd and likely will in some dungeons going forward.His deduction talent is fairly well written. There are some inconsistencies when it comes to him backtracking after a death when other times he can't, but overall its pretty good. It has a clear limitation that it is lower than the actual Weird World system thing, so it can't predict rewards or anything related to things outside the Dungeon world.The main thing that was kinda surprising was that, after completing the first Dungeon he was informed that he could either continue or leave. If he left, then 1 year later the infection would start whereas he could continue to challenge a Dungeon. He obviously chose to continue and the 2nd Dungeon started straight away. It looks like this was a 1 off thing, as it looks like from the second one, and going forward, he will get a 1 week break in the real world before being forced back into challenging a Dungeon world again.Edit: Each time some of the real world stuff is mentioned there are clearly very nationalistic tones within, as well as in the conclusion of the 2nd Dungeon world, but so far there hasn't been any negatives because of it - like the MC giving away something to help his 'fellow countrymen'. The real world government team thing are actually trying to help him properly, which is pretty nice.

10 chapters = 1 proper chapter. This novel starts off with the attitude of going to milk chapters and words kn your face.
[Chapter 68] I have mixed feeling for this novel. Truthfully it is a great story, good plot, character etc.. But sometimes I feel that there're some part where I'm a bit bothered.Tbh the synopsis is a bit shitty so here my synopsis.It's the story of a broken/tool man who fell into a drama/fantasy K series where he heard most plot from his sister. He'll transmigrate as a 5y old orphan in a suspicious orphanage, and one day De Viatra family with its third child Alice came to pick up a servant for her. Knowing her story, MC will try to make her happy and not fall as villainess.From that you could say that it's just a generic trope of a male lead saving a poor villainesses. Yes it is, AT FIRST, but later you'll find out that there're many mystery surrounding MC, FML and many other side character and that's worth reading. The pace of the story might have been a bit too fast for MC & Villainesses childhood part , I hoped we could slowly see how she and Gabriel (MC) develop their relationship + Alice being more and more her "old self" from the series but changed.Still overall the story is great, we're uncovering the mystery at the same time as Gabriel and also while switching the POV with other people.
It seems strange to me that by chapter 23, all she did for him was give him some food. And now he's already her knight and all so devoted to her, I understand that he feels sorry for her as a future villain, but it's too far-fetched to serve someone
To be fair, what else can he do? He has nowhere else to go beside her considering he comes from an abusive orphenage and he doesn't want to betray her.

Pretty repetitive, the MC doesn't learn from his mistakes. Heck the most he lives in the next 10 loops in near 20-35 years in each loop. And the author always repeating the same thing about the MC having no talent, but in a world that has time and space bending artifact's what does talent matter? In a way reading this novel is quite exhausting.
