Chapter 685: Linda

?

Yarin's POV:

Karter and Anthony did not bring many cultists. Including the two of them, there were only five people.

These five people were the Lily of the Valley 'officers'. No wonder so many minions of the Lily of the Valley were lying outside. The Lily of the Valley House probably only treated them as consumables and dispensable minions were not qualified to meet the 'god'.

"Please allow me to introduce you to my lord." Karter respectfully turned to the side to reveal the people behind him. There were two women and one man. Other than a woman in a long cloak, the other two had a lot of blood on their bodies. They must have gone through a fierce battle just now.

"Your loyal believer, Marissa."

The short-haired woman stepped forward excitedly, bent down deeply, and kissed Azazel's clothes while trembling.

"I have been looking forward to this day. My master, your humble servant, offers you all his loyalty and respect."

"Very good, my child." Azazel gently stroked the top of her head. Marissa looked so excited that she was about to faint.

Another person rushed out and said anxiously, without waiting for Karter's introduction, "I am Ian, my lord. Your most loyal and humble servant greets you!"

After saying that, he pushed Marissa aside roughly and kneeled beside Azazel to kiss his shoes, ignoring Marissa's fierce glare.

Such reckless behavior pleased Azazel. He also stroked Ian's head and said softly, "I have seen your sincerity, my servant."

No matter how jealous the two people were, the cloaked third person acted as if she didn't see them. She stood there quietly, like a speck of dust or a handful of air, without any sense of existence.

Finally, Karter, who couldn't stand it anymore, pulled the two cultists away from each other. He wiped the fine sweat on his forehead and smiled apologetically. "There's still one last person, my lord. She was the one who planned everything for your arrival. Even I must admit she's sincere and devoted to you."

"And she's your leader, right?" Azazel added naturally.

Karter didn't expect him to know about this. He was stunned for a second, and Azazel had already approached the cloaked woman. The woman slowly kneeled and lowered her head. A strand of golden hair as bright as the sun shone from her hood.

Azazel took off her hood, and the woman slowly raised her head.

I felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity when I saw her face. Thinking about it carefully, some distant memories gradually surfaced.

The final answer not only shocked me, but she was-

"Linda, my dear and cute little girl."

Azazel gently traced the outline of the woman's face with his fingers and said softly, like a loving father, "You must have suffered a lot in the years that I wasn't around."

The woman frowned at his words, and tears fell from her glazed brown eyes.

"My master... the master of the world." She lay on Azazel's chest and cried. "The day has finally come. I can finally see you again..."

Azazel hugged her tenderly, without the perfunctory impatience he had when facing Anthony. Instead, he carefully combed her hair that was messed up by the hood and coaxed her softly, "Alright, alright, you've already grown up into a big girl. You can't drop golden beans like when you were young. Your subordinates are still here. How embarrassing would it be for them to see?"

He said this, but he had no intention of pushing Linda away.

Linda sobbed as she got up and choked, "I'm just too excited. My... my master, a few hundred years may seem like an instant to you, but to me, it's too long..."

Hence, there was another round of crying and persuasion. Those who did not know better

would think it was a daughter acting coquettishly with her father.

The officers of the Lily of the Valley watched silently from the side. Even Marissa and Ian were very observant and did not step forward to fight for attention.

Everything seemed normal except for me.

I was completely stunned.

Linda? Wasn't this woman the opera actress 'Tilly' who was once very popular among the werewolves and suddenly disappeared after she retired? Cynthia still had her signed photo in her drawer.

Also, the name Linda was very familiar. I seemed to have heard it not long ago.

Wasn't this the female warrior who had been transformed into a 'black cocoon' by the evil force during the Rocky Mountains operation? The black cocoon eventually became the medium for Azazel's arrival, and everyone thought that she had unfortunately sacrificed herself.

Was it a coincidence that the woman with Tilly's appearance had the same name as Linda? After experiencing so much, my intuition told me there must be a conspiracy hidden in there that I didn't know about.

Finally, Linda stopped crying and stood up weakly. As soon as she stood up, the others automatically stood behind her.

"As you can see, master," she said. "Ever since the plan to bring you to the human world failed, I came to the human country of Jasper and built the Lily of the Valley. These people are loyal and useful believers I gathered for you. They and the Lily of the Valley are your servants and weapons in the human world."
