On the Responder, Lin Xian's expression darkened the moment he heard that Infinite Train was under attack.

He quickly relayed his own situation to Chen Sixuan and the others.

The moment they heard about the massive underground creature that Lin Xian and KIKI had seen, everyone's face changed—even Ding Junyi, who had remained composed the entire time, suddenly tensed up.

Hearing about such a dangerous situation, while their train was actively under siege, Chen Sixuan felt herself losing control of the situation.

She immediately asked, “Lin Xian, what’s the plan?”

"I'm coming up right now. You all get ready—if we don’t have time to link up, just start Infinite Train and head for the surface! We'll follow behind and force our way out!"

As he spoke, Lin Xian worked quickly, using Mechanical Ability to inspect every major system on the Gemini 11R Nuclear Electric Locomotive.

Although the 152-Type DRX Micro-Nuclear Reactor was still in a cooled state, Lin Xian didn’t actually need to wait—his Mechanical Ability could jump-start the system immediately.

However, powering both this locomotive and Infinite Train all the way to the surface without the underground city’s electromagnetic rail assistance was going to be a serious challenge.

Just as the electric locomotive pulled away from the Level 5 Freight Terminal—

A deafening explosion erupted behind them.

A shockwave of dust and force rushed into the tunnel, slamming against the train.

The Gemini 11R violently rocked.

"What the hell was that?!"

"It’s that THING!"

On the rear-view monitors, a massive grey-white silhouette loomed in the smoke—

It was so huge that it completely filled the screen.

Lin Xian’s pupils shrank.

He forced the engines to maximum speed—

"Tell Chen-laoshi to GET MOVING!"

He yelled to KIKI.

At this rate, there was no time to safely link up with Infinite Train at Level 4 Terminal—they had to move separately.

If Huanxing 7F didn’t have enough power to make it up, Lin Xian would push it from behind—as long as both trains were moving, they wouldn’t crash into each other.

Level 65 - Infinite Train

The Responder crackled—

KIKI’s urgent voice came through,

"Chen-jiejie, START THE TRAIN! NOW!"

Chen Sixuan’s face went pale—she immediately ran to the controls.

She disabled the safety locks, shoved the throttle forward, and prepped the route.

The Huanxing 7F Electric Locomotive roared to life!

The headlights snapped on as Infinite Train began rolling backward toward the tunnel!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Outside, zombies and Human Eeries relentlessly attacked the train’s armor.

But Chen Sixuan ignored them.

Inside the cockpit, Ding Junyi suddenly pulled out her laptop.

She hacked into the underground city’s sub-systems and reported,

"I’m opening the station gates in advance. Also, I’m rerouting the switch tracks from GF2 to GF4—if you plan to haul those Kor-3 Biological Science Research Carriages, this will save time."

"Got it! Everyone, brace yourselves—I’m going to ram into you!"

"Too many zombies on the rear platform! Go clear them out!"

Luo Ye immediately sprinted toward Car 5, with Shasha following, gun in hand.

Luo Ye opened the rear shooting port and unleashed a storm of bullets into the horde.

Zombies exploded as their heads were blown apart.

"AHHHH!!!"

A Human Eerie with writhing tentacles lunged at him—

BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!

It was ripped to shreds by gunfire.

Meanwhile, the flatbed trailer ran over several zombies as Infinite Train accelerated into the tunnel.

Inside Car 1, Zhao Yan and Xu Wen were clutching each other, praying to survive the night.

"BROTHER!"

Shasha tossed Luo Ye a fresh rifle magazine as she took over with an automatic rifle.
