Chapter 1007: For Own Home
Chapter 1007: For Own Home
With a goal in mind, the Lenny family launched their combined assault on Loki.
Perseus was the first to strike, his green lightning crackling through the air with a fierce intensity. Bolts of emerald energy surged from his fingertips, intertwining with the water law that Lenny had gifted him. Streams of water coiled around the lightning, creating an electrified torrent that crashed into Loki’s massive frame with explosive force.
Father Black followed, summoning his glowing poison. The toxic substance glowed with an eerie light as he hurled it at Loki, the poison seeping into every crack and crevice, aiming to paralyze and weaken the monstrous demon.
This was poison formed from a Jin. Its effects were naturally potent, making Loki stagger back a bit.
This poison attacked from the before truth, meaning that his soul was in trouble. While this helped to form a distraction, the next person attacked. It was Crusher. unfortunately, he had not been gifted anything from Lenny, but that did not mean that he was going to lack behind.
Crusher charged forward, his massive fists swinging like hammers. Each blow he delivered was backed by the strength of a titan, shaking the very ground with every impact. His attacks were relentless, each punch intended to break through Loki’s defenses.
Of course, there was only so much he could do, but right now, he could not lack behind. He too, had pride he wanted to uphold. At least, his attack was able to push Loki a bit, allowing for the next person’s attack to follow through.
Morgana moved with deadly grace, using her crystalblood law. Sharp, blood-red crystals materialized around her, launching at Loki like a storm of deadly projectiles. The crystals pierced through the air, their edges gleaming ominously as they tore through Loki’s demonic hide.
As they pierced his skin, the souls on his body wailed in pain. These were souls that Despair had absorbed as a result of her ability.
Victor, in his werewolf form, continued to utilize his law of three. He struck at the same spot three times in rapid succession, each hit compounding the damage of the previous ones. On the third strike, the accumulated force exploded outward, creating shockwaves that reverberated through Loki’s body.
Insect-B was a blur of motion, her four arms wielding cosmic energy like swords. She danced around Loki, slashing at him from all angles. Her blades of pure energy cut through the air with precision, aiming for any weak points in Loki’s armor.
Their attacks were a symphony of destruction, each member of the Lenny family communicating telepathically to synchronize their movements.
Perseus’ lightning would distract, creating openings for Crusher’s devastating punches. Morgana’s crystals would corral Loki into positions where Father Black’s poison could seep deeper into his wounds. Victor’s relentless strikes would destabilize, allowing Insect-B’s energy swords to find their mark.
But despite their best efforts, Loki remained standing. His body twisted and reformed around their attacks, absorbing the blows with a dark, malevolent resilience. He began to laugh, a chilling sound that echoed through the chamber.
"Is this all the great Lenny family can do? I cannot believe that such trash were able to conquer a primary plane and send the demons packing." Loki taunted, his voice dripping with scorn. Blood trickled from his mouth, but his eyes burned with a fierce-red unholy light.
To his surprise, the Lenny family began to laugh in unison. It was a sound filled with defiance and confidence, not fear. Each one of them, regardless of their wounds laughed with their eyes on Loki. It was as if he cracked a joke and all of them got the punch line.
"What’s so funny?" Loki demanded, his arrogance slightly faltering.
Father Black stepped forward, his eyes shining with cunny. "We were only buying time," he spoke softly.
Loki turned, and his eyes widened in shock. Nikky stood there, her weapon trained on him. The silver, rocket launcher-like device hummed with a profound, otherworldly energy. The cosmic barrier around her glowed bright, protecting her from the residual chaos.
Nikky’s hands were steady as she aimed. "This is for fucking with our home," she screamed, her voice filled with resolve.
The realization dawned on Loki too late. He had underestimated them. The Lenny family had fought not to win but to stall, to give Nikky the time she needed to prepare the weapon. He had fallen into their trap.
The weapon fired, a beam of pure, concentrated energy, with a deafening roar aimed directly at Loki’s heart.
The beam, a brilliant cascade of blinding light, seemed to bend reality itself, creating ripples in the fabric of space as it surged forward.
As the beam collided with Loki, the impact was cataclysmic. The force of the blast was so intense that it shattered the very air around him, creating a shockwave that radiated outward, pushing back everything in its path. The energy pierced Loki’s chest, and in that moment, it was as if the boundaries between dimensions were ripped apart.
The Before Truth became visible, a ghostly overlay shimmering around the physical world. The beam didn’t just strike Loki’s physical body; it tore through his very essence, attacking him in the ethereal plane where his true form resided. The air around him fractured like shattered glass, shards of reality splintering and falling away as the beam carved a path through his being.
Loki’s demonic form writhed in agony, his screams echoing in both realms.
His twisted body began to disintegrate, the dark energy that comprised him unraveling in a spectacular display of destruction. His limbs dissolved into ash, his once-mighty form collapsing inward as the beam relentlessly tore him apart.
The souls he had absorbed were released, their screams mingling with his own as they escaped the confines of his body, rising into the air like wailing phantoms. "NO!!! I was almost close. I was almost..." he stretched for the Core of Demeter as if trying to grasp it.
The disintegration was absolute. Loki’s flesh and bones turned to dust, his monstrous form reduced to nothingness. The beam continued to burn through him, erasing his presence from existence with an unyielding fury. The light consumed him entirely, leaving behind only a dark, sinister glow where his heart had once been.
As the light finally faded, all that remained of Loki was his core—a dark green jewel, the size of a fist, floating ominously in the air. The jewel pulsed with a malevolent energy, casting a sinister glow that seemed to suck the light from its surroundings. It hovered there, a relic of the abomination that Loki had become, radiating a palpable aura of dread.
The members of the Lenny family stared in awe and relief, the reality of their victory sinking in. The core was the last vestige of Loki’s dark power.
Father Black stepped forward, his gaze fixed on the jewel. "It’s over," he said, his voice filled with a mixture of exhaustion and triumph. "Loki is no more."
